Picked up the Hogwarts Express over lunch today. Then got a call from the store saying the minifigures I pre-ordered had arrived, which got me all excited, up until they called me again and said that those were for someone else and I had to wait till next week. :(

^^ @Recce - they let you buy an unopened case?  I'm impressed!

^^^ @Recce Me too! At my Lego store they limited it to 22 per person, so that the lady and her kid were able to get 44 total even though she paid for it all.

Not sure how it is being sold in the West, but here in SG the LCS shops do sell the minifigure series in sealed boxes. They even take preorders 2 weeks before launch date.

Though I didn't preorder and just walk in to purchase on the day of release, during my lunch break. :)

With the 10% off eBay purchases thing last night I picked up a #10194 Emerald Night. Good condition box, good condition instructions, and stickers all still on the sheet (good condition), but the train had already been built. Considering it was more than half the price of MISB examples on eBay, I took it. :)

This pretty much completes the collection of all my dream Lego trains, bar a #4547 Club Car for my #4558 Metroliner...

My most recent car boot sale find is the moulded baseplate from #7627. A woman was using it to display minifigs she was selling, but I've got a fondness for the moulded plates despite their various inadequacies, so I picked it up for a fiver. I like the way you can use them to gain height when building castles and such.

Just got #74177 Heavy Scout walker for 50% off at Amazon. Horrible set, but for £25 I figure that is worth it for a couple of exclusive minifigures and a parts pack. Quite a few technic parts so will be useful for GBC if I ever get around to making something and snot bricks and grey stuff always handy for landscaping etc on mocs (again, if I ever get around to actually building something.)

The packers and movers just came and left. My wife and I are moving from London to San Francisco. One 20ft container of various bits of clothing, furniture, kitchen stuff, nik naks, and about 15 plastic boxes full of Lego and computer games.

6-8 weeks at sea apparently. I miss it all already.

Hah, I totally posted in the wrong thread. Was meant for the status one!

Suffice it to say I won't be buying any new Lego for a few weeks.

(It had better stay away from Bermuda or anywhere with a storm front as far as I'm concerned!)

    Bought #41150 Moana's Ocean Voyage and #41187 Rosalyn's Healing Hideout from  Amazon.de.
Ordered them on Wednesday, Thursday around 6:something PM got an e-mail saying it had been sent (and should arrive on Monday), arrived Friday morning. I'd never seen shipping this fast. Maybe it was sent from the Spanish Amazon warehouse?

Just got back from our Honeymoon where we finally got to visit the Leicester Square Lego shop and Hamley's. Part of me is cringing at having paid full price for Lego but we just got swept away with the excitement of it.

76108: Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown for me. I initally wanted The Great Hall but they were sadly out of stock.
Husband picked up 76107: Thanos Ultimate Battle. He's been after it for a while as he already had Thor's Weapon Quest.
Eldest girl (5) chose 41153: Ariel's Royal Celebration Boat.
Smallest girl (2) fell in love with 41456: Unikingdom Fairground Fun. This also bagged her the unikitty freebie which she clutched tightly all the way back out of London lol.
I also picked up Lester and the small London bus. They were building Harry Potter wands in store but it was so busy we decided not to bother.

At Hamley's we picked up the Royal Guard and the new Harry Potter polybag. So all in all a really fun (if quite expensive!) trip.

However we're not done, despite me saying no one would get us Lego for our wedding my work place got us a £35 voucher to spend online. Coupled with the VIP points I got for the above we have another £50 to spend on Lego. I'm really tempted to pick up something completely different to our normal buys. Currently eyeing up Jurassic World and Minecraft.
MINECRAFT!!!!! The Mountain Cave is AMAZING, but £50 may not scratch the surface of that expensive set. I love The Chicken coop and as a single stand-alone set its great. The Melon farm as well.

^ I've only had a few sets, all because I got really incredible deals on them (like $20 total for the first night, crafting box and farm $4 the iron golem and half off the jungle tree house) and personally I find them less interesting to build and they don't look great. That's just my opinion but I would try Jurassic World over Minecraft any day. I love the carnotaurus gyrosphere escape and the stygimoloch breakout.

Picked up 2 copies of #75951 Grindelwald's Escape; 2 copies of #75955 Hogwarts Express; and 3 copies of #60197 Passenger Train over the weekend.  Can't wait to motorize the Hogwarts Express.  Now I need to get parts to build some more coaches.  I just cannot bring myself to run a train with only a few cars.

You forgot to leave an open space to see through. A common mistake with that car.

Haha, I did! The hole is at the middle, right beside the small City set, though it is probably too small to be of any use. :)

Still not finding a lot of time to post these days... Far too busy with work, family, buying and building LEGO and playing EVE Online, I'm afraid! ;-)

Anyway, I managed to pick up both #21026 Venice (Bricklink) and #21028 New York City (Amazon) today for good prices, so I'm pretty happy to add them to the #21029 Buckingham Palace and #21034 London that I already have. I'm very tempted to get #21042 Statue of Liberty at some point as well.

Yesterday I discovered B&M had reduced the Forest Tractor by the holy ratio of 25%. I know, it's not 33%, but I think that's a great value set at the price and I'll happily take the £4 off. It's the first Lego I've bought in at least seven months!

I picked up a few items from Amazon at good discounts recently:

    #70606 Spinjitzu Training
    #75193 Millenium Falcon Microfighter
    #31066 Space Shuttle Explorer
    #75218 X-Wing Starfighter

I'm definitely not starting to collect Star Wars, but have picked up a few sets here and there, so that I have most of the main characters (I just need a Leia now) and do want a TIE Fighter and a proper Millenium Falcon one day.

#75218 looks like a really good X-Wing to get and at 40% off was a no-brainer.

Just bought below 2 sets at S$228 (about US$165).

Had been eyeing the Batmobile for a while, waiting for a sale that is greater than 20% off, so finally!

I paid a hefty price for it so there's no way i can brag about a score but set #9468, Vampyre's Castle, is a fantastic set. The build is a bit dull but the end result makes up for it. It join's set #75904. Mystery Mansion, in my not yet finished Halloween display. Man, do they look nice together...
