Don't think there's enough to entice me to buy the UCS Y-Wing yet. I'll wait for a better deal.

May 4th is the golden opportunity for a black VIP card offer and it seems that there isn't one.

@Bumblepants The EU Store Calendar for May/June is now out. For some reason the UK one only loads the 1st page for me, but the DE one works fine.

Apart from the already mentioned May 4th offers, of interest are:
    • 04 Jun - 24 Jun: Free #40291 Creative Personalities (set not yet in the database, name translated from German) when spending EUR 65 or more on Lego sets (any theme).
    • 04 Jun - 01 Jul: Free #30382 Baby Velociraptor Playpen when buying any Lego Jurassic World set. No minimum spend, but excludes the Duplo Jurassic World sets. Too bad as the dinosaurs in those Duplo sets are adorable!
Both offers are valid in store and online.

    There's also the calendar vouchers:
    • 17 May - 21 May: Free #5004408 Rebel A-Wing Pilot with any Star Wars purchase over EUR35/GBP30 in exchange for calendar voucher 5.
    • 11 Jun - 17 Jun: Free surprise gift in exchange for calendar voucher 6; no purchase required.

I'm tempted to follow suit - it's a shame that they've excluded the Y-Wing from double VIP points otherwise I would have ordered it without any hesitation.  Presumably Smyths will stock it eventually, so it might be worth waiting for the inevitable 20% off.

Can anyone tell me to what extent shops close up in Germany for May 1st? I don't want to go out of my way to the Lego store or others if everything will be closed for the holiday.
  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
    @Bumblepants Totally 100% closed on May 01.

Hothbricks confirmed an additional promo for May the 4th: a blueprint of #75181 UCS Y-Wing Starfighter in A4 size.

For black VIP card holders: free when buying any SW set.
Everybody else: free when spending EUR30 or more on SW sets.

Supposedly valid both online and in store.

    Weak sauce.

    ⬆️

I'm really starting to feel sorry for the Black VIP card holders, they were promised exciting offers and now for May 4th, the most Star Wars day in the calendar they get the exact same as everyone else. I know most didn't buy the falcon to get the deals, but Lego could have at least offered those with the card an exclusive print.

lol, if the threshold was 100€, that would be slightly less laughable for black card holders, you have to spend at least 55 for free shipping.

#40320 Plants From Plants was only listed as GWP on the Austria/Germany/UK Store Calendars. I reached out to CS to confirm the promo was really limited to those countries, and received a confirmation.

I'll be in the Saarbrücken store on Saturday anyway, so I'll be able to grab at least 1 #40320. Still very disappointing.

@stlux thanks for letting us know, very very annoyed by this since I fancied those plants!

I read about this on hothbricks.fr, and sure enough on the Belgian/Dutch S@H calendar there's no mention of this promotion either.

Well some parts of this promotion will be available through the Xtra polybags series, which will also become available online in August I believe.
  • sid3windrsid3windr Member Posts: 1,460
Wow, I was totally blindsided by this not being a promo for BE... Le sigh.

And another change: the Store Calendar listed #75952 Newt's Case of Magical Creatures and #75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow for this month's 2x VIP points promo.
S@H shows these 2 instead: #75954 Hogwarts Great Hall and #75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow.

Has anybody been in a physical store today and could confirm which 2x VIP promo they honor?

The EU Store Calendar for September is now out. Not much happening:
    • 01 Sept - 30 Sept: Free #5005237 Rings when spending EUR 25 or more on Friends sets
    • 01 Sept - 30 Sept: 2x VIP points on #41346 Friendship Box and #41352 The Big Race Day
No #30407 Harry's Journey to Hogwarts, no #40289 Diagon Alley. Maybe in October? Or November to coincide with the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald?

I'm actually relieved there aren't any must-have promos. I deleted a 'recent purchase' email because I couldn't possibly know which of my orders it might be referring to.

  • sid3windrsid3windr Member Posts: 1,460

  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
Yes, most recent 2x VIP was June 30 - July 07.

dragon alley will be gwp in November. I guess threshold will be quite high.

Hmm I forgot about that GWP. Probably should wait until that is available to buy anything.
  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
@Bumblepants We are now October 01, and still no new EU calendar posted anywhere... S@H still has the August and September ones up. The hamsters running the site must have looked at the autumn weather, and said "screw this, I'm staying in bed".

1 promo live though (so 1 hamster woke up?): Free #40300 Han Solo Mudtrooper when spending EUR/GBP 30 or more on Star Wars

And this month's 2x VIP sets seem to be #75218 X-Wing Starfighter and #75200 Ahch-To Island Training.

Hopefully we get some news about the other promotions soon.

When are we next getting double vip points (on all sets) for a couple of days?
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,484
Can't say for certain it will be the same, but I confirmed with Lego CS this morning that there will be Double VIP points from October 15-31st in the US. I'd have to imagine it would translate across all countries.

They only confirmed the minifig frame as a GWP, however.

Right, still no EU Store Calendar for October online, but Promobricks picked one up from the Berlin store. Basically confirms what @spicypig and myself already posted yesterday:
    • 01 Oct - 31 Oct: Free #40300 Han Solo Mudtrooper when spending EUR 30/GBP 30 or more on Star Wars
    • 15 Oct - 31 Oct: Free #5005359 Minifigure Collector Frame when spending EUR 55 /GBP 55 (any theme)
    • 01 Oct - 31 Oct: 2x VIP points on #75218 X-Wing Starfighter and #75200 Ahch-To Island Training
No general 2x VIP listed on the calendar; however that of course doesn't mean we might not get one.

Some of last year's Christmas promo/seasonal sets have also been made available to buy:

    ^^

I'd gladly get the Snowglobe again, but it's showing as sold out.

So I guess I'll wait until the 15th and try to get both the mudtrooper fig and the frame on the same order...

@stlux I can see Christmas Train Ride listed but none of the others (even if oos). Which category or interest were you seeing them under?

Random tagging on shop.lego.com - just another thing I LOVE about that website. Is it NEW? Or A Helicopter? Seasonal, Or a Seasonal Sausage?, VIP only? Well, the answer is anybody's guess, and maybe it's none of the above! Hmmm, Brewster's Millions just popped into my head.

In other unsurprising news, when I checked last night, Thanksgiving Turkey & Mr & Mrs Claus were already OOS, total shocker. No dates.

Edit: Was going to see if they'd updated the dates only to be met with the website is down to maintenance or over capacity issues error message just now.

    @sid3windr It's not just you.

@Lego_Star They are tagged as seasonal (except Gingerbread Man - tagged as Minifigures), but indeed do not show up when looking under that theme... The hamsters running the site must be asleep again. Searching by set# brings them up though.

The snowglobe seems to have sold out since I posted, but the others are still available.

The Snowglobe has shown as sold out since last December when it came back in stock briefly and disappeared again. I've had it on my wanted list ever since.

^ Wanted list / wish lists are broken too. Mine says I have 24 items, yet lists 20.

I've just been surveyed on the site. The box for why did you give that score, just wasn't big enough to list all the errors I encountered on such a short visit.

No update today about stock availability for Mr & Mrs Claus. Still marked as temporarily oos. How long is temporarily? I thought that was just the overnight/unattended website place holder until the stock situation was updated the next day when staff were in the workplace. Maybe it's a Danish holiday or something today.
