Bendybadger's Brickset Bonus Ball, catwrangler edition
Hey hey, this week we have a fantastic mystery prize (I'm going to give you a clue and reveal that it's Lego), and all you have to do is post with the answer to the following question.
Other than Lego, what thing from your childhood have you rediscovered a love for? And for people who never had a Dark Age: what childhood thing other than Lego have you never fallen out of love with?
(What prompted this? Marshmallows. Lovely, lovely marshmallows. Never mind your high-falutin' salted caramel 75% cocoa chocolates, I've gone back to the first sweets I can ever remember buying with my pocket money...)
In case you're new, it works like this: the first 59 answers go into a numbered list, and then we wait for Saturday night's UK lottery draw. The Bricksetter whose number corresponds to the lottery bonus ball is the winner. For that reason, please don't make double posts - it's not your A-levels so don't worry about correcting mistakes or anything!

I have to admit that the new run of Voltron on Netflix got me to dust off the old, crude DVDs burned from VHS tapes and rewatch a few of the original episodes. (They're really not that good, but who really cares.)
Saturday afternoon quality TV.
That said, there are certain books that I can remember being my absolute favorite as a kid that I'd long since forgotten about. I recently attended a book fair at my son's school and saw a shelf with many of those books. I went a little overboard on buying that night, but have loved every night since! Getting a chance to reread the stories that helped shape my mind, and then seeing my son falling in love with those same stories. It's been pretty special!
I don’t always game(maybe 70% of the time) but when I do it’s Nintendo.
Also a couple of weeks ago I bought a brand new (old stock) box of Linka. Great stuff, although it makes me swear a lot.
Other than that board games and books for sure! :o)
Chris Reeves is the best Superman though. Had to have a general Zod when they made the LEGO one!
Oh, and the kissing memory loss thing is just dumb. IMO.
Thanks for hosting @catwrangler, great question!
Star Wars because it was one of the first films i saw at the cinema and it blew me away and started a very long and expensive obsession with the Galaxy Far Far Away and the first 7" single (a single track double sided ipod for all the youngsters on here) I purchased was The Number Of The Beast primarily because I loved the artwork, but after listening to the single, the next purchase was the Album and then everything else they did up until 2000. I didn't really get on with the stuff they released after that but even now, the earlier music still gets played on regular occasions and I enjoy it just as much as I did back then.
Not being strong enough in math meant I'd never be able to pursue a career in aerospace engineering or astronomy - let alone astrophysics. But hey, I get to live in time where there's Kerbal Space Program!
From as far back as i can remember (ish), I've been playing some game or other.
Sometimes not much, other times it's been several times a week with a tournament at the weekend.
Most of it now is of the HABA variety but my eldest is good at Love Letter, Sushi Go!, King of Tokyo & the like & I've just started them on HeroKids RPG
And secondly playing electric guitar again. My two-year old son loves music and dancing, and I’d love for him to become musically inclined. So I’m playing again, hopefully becoming better AND inspiring him.
