@bandit778 thanks for the info. May start by corralling some parts and have a go.

Wrapped up #31048 yesterday. Got this on clearance last year and it’s a nice little build. I thought the moose was creatively done too. I haven’t done the other 2 builds in this set and I’m not sure I will. As a fisherman and outdoors guy, this one is pretty satisfying for me.

I had a lot of fun with that one - the moose is absolutely one of my favorite brick-built animals of all time!

Had a good 8 hours building a replica of Dorian Glacet's Cayman Class Battlecruiser today.

Its been an interesting challenge to reverse engineer it, fortunately there are lots of photos of its construction on the Flickr streamed linked above. Its a close copy, within the limits of my brick collection and observation of Dorian's model - funny how looking at it again when building it as opposed to just working out what bricks I needed I've noticed lots of different things.

She's just shy of 97 studs long at the moment and its been good fun building it. Next set of jobs are armaments for the sides, a spot of extra detailing and a pair of stands.

Its cooled off here, so felt like building some sets. #30381 was put together while making Chinese for tea the other night. #40306 was made while I waited for the double glazing guys to replace the lawn strimmer/stone/window interface patio doors Mrs Speedman damaged a while back and #75884 was constructed during the Hungarian GP this evening.

After getting #31084 recently for a good price, and being rather excited about the coaster parts, I decided to bump it to the head of the queue.

It it has been a fun build over the last few evenings, made extra pleasant being able to build outside in the evening sun. It is bigger than I expected, so am looking forward to seeing the big coaster up close.

I have a few bricks and pieces orders in coming with additional track, but in the mean time I decided to give the pirate coaster a quick extension with a few track pieces that I got from bricklink. It definitely needs more height, and I am going to need a lot more support pieces!

Looks really good! Will do the sameish thing soon.
Did you also get some of the "slope" pieces from #10261? (these: https://brickset.com/parts/design-26561).

When on the phone with LCS, I discovered these pieces actually were also made in LBG, but never released. Shame for us #31084-MODders.

They are 'In Warehouse' where they have been for the last 10 days. I had wanted to get grey wobbly ones, but they had sold out of grey and red on Bricks and Pieces. So I got some red ones from Bricklink as part of another order. They are now back in stock at Bricks and Pieces along with the wheels which was the original reason I placed the Bricklink order... I need to learn patience.

Just finished #10262 James Bond Aston Martin DB5. Interesting build and I like how all the technic features come together in the end to activate the various features.

Yesterday my 2yr old son pestered me to build some Lego with him. Duplo holds no interest now he has found Lego, and I don’t need much persuading ;)

So I picked out a few small sets on my immediate backlog.

First on his choosing we built #40236. I think the sandwich builds were my favourite part. My son decided that the printed cakes and food were the best bits and promptly took them for his own build!

We then built #40237. He lost interest in the build and only pilfered the eggs. When he realised the eggs had to be hidden and found he was fully engaged.

Then finally his sister joined in and we build the a wing from #75150. This was the definite winner. We all shared the building and swooshing and the hidden play feature for firing the laser bolts was a big hit (just not in the eyes! Don’t point it at your brother!)

Have just finished building #75186 (doing well, that's three whole sets this year so far).

I know nothing (apart from the title) about the Freemaker Adventures but there was something about the colour scheme of the Arrowhead that just looked the business.
I have to say, now it's finished, it's has one of the best colour schemes on a Star Wars ship, ever.
It's also a very well put together set and is so sturdy, It's obviously meant to be played with. (Test flight round the living room, ✔).

I do however have one complaint... Not about this set, it really is good.
It's about every other Space ship, be it Star Wars or otherwise, that has stickers on the trans-clear canopies.
If you haven't seen the Arrowhead set yet, go and have a look at the pictures, then zoom in on the canopy.
It is one of the nicest looking, shaped canopies on any set made.
    AND ITS PRINTED.

Why can't they all be made to look that good?

Been building #60202 and #60200, as a prelude to starting #10261.

Thing is, the 1x6 red tile from the top of the double decker coach is missing... Well, off to LCS then.

Just finished building #76087 from my backlog. Picked it up bnib from ebay purely for the Batman and Cyborg minifigs. Steppenwolf is a nice addition to my brickbuild figures, the aircraft build was an interesting design although repetitive in places. However the batmobile was a major disappointment, especially after seeing Tim Burtons Batman on the TV the other night!

Just finished building #76112 App Controlled Batmobile that I picked up in the recent Argos 342 sale.

Enjoyed the build, if somewhat easy, as its my first "powered up" device and I wished to compare with the previous Lego Power Functions I have. The new app is great and I like the features built in to control the batmobile, must find an old handset to run it on before I let my kids get their hands on it! The highlight, for me, is the superb minifigure included. That alone made it worth picking up!

^ I still find the height discrepancy a little odd. Ninjago City is so cramped, stacked, and tall, whereas the docks are just 3 random buildings that are reasonably short, small, and spread out. While the architectural style looks similar, they don't quite look like they're meant to be next to each other.

^^ Beautiful !!! Hoping There will be 2 more buildings to get a dock in square shape. It's possible i think.
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
I've thought about selling the minifigures off of the second docks set I got and combining two to increase the height of the docks.

Hadn't thought of that. My plan is to build 16*32 mocs for each end of the docks to scale the height upwards.

Fancied a break from the normal system sets so took a stroll down Technic street.

Then while I was on a roll with actually building a set....
....immediately took it to pieces and built the 'B'  model.

then just to really take the Sith with all this set building...

    Old Darth Square Head himself.

Totally on a roll with this building malarkey.

    Just finished building this...

    Excellent (not so) little build.

There were a couple of 'what the hell is this bit part of' moments, closely followed by Aha! moments when putting the trigger assembly together and the size of the finished build really is quite impressive.

If all sets had the same amount of thought, design and finish that a good majority of TLNM sets had, I would be a very happy (albeit broke) Lego collector.

Really needs 4 more 16x16s (or a 32x32, but you'll end up with height differences) in the middle, to furnish the middle a little (trough for the horses with a piece of fence to bind them to, some seating for the figures, maybe a gunrack, etc

I'm about halfway into #6278 from collection, in preparation for snagging a larger Pirate set very soon!

Also continuing my ongoing Classic Space "Black Series" although I think I can only manage 3 or so more sets til I'm done.

Oh wait, just noticed those arent 16x16 plates, but 32x16 baseplates! So a 32x32 bp Will do nicely.
