Just picked up a few more CMFs that fit well in a city setting - Lloyd, Jay, and Zane. Apparently I got one of those Lloyd's where the hoodie hair is more of a grey. I've heard that this happened, but this is the first Lloyd I've gotten. Does anyone have both versions of the hoodie?
Haven't noticed that, but I can check when I get home. I see you are in GSO. I'm right down the road in Winston

Could have sworn I read on here that the Ninjago posters they sent weren't folded but rolled.  Mine came folded in quarters so maybe I just got unlucky?
I got mine at the local store and was not folded.

The cole vehicle just seems like it would be such an odd vehicle to have on display. How does it stand?
  • eggsheneggshen Member Posts: 602
That is a very interesting way to use a plane fusilage. I love both of those!

I've thought that ever since I saw the mech in the trailers. Hey, perhaps it doesn't! It's quite possible it only stands up when being played with.

Another question: who is that mysterious archer... She has orange hair. Misako?

Wasn't sure which thread was best to ask this question so I've posted elsewhere too, but does anyone know how many bags come with the new Destinys bounty please ?

Just 15 numbered bags, two non-numbered bags for the bigger elements, and two plastic sleeves for the sails, instructions, and sticker sheet. Unlike the UCS Millennium Falcon and most other big sets, there's just one numbered bag for each bag number listed in the instructions.

Battle armor Misako, as seen in the trailer.

Wonder Woman got pissed because Batman was flirting with Batgirl, so she decided to wait for another display case to hang out with (TRU's) Lloyd... she is not thrilled about having Wu around though.

Saw the case at my local LEGO Store today it was $34.99
  • JooTogJooTog Member Posts: 945
^Same at TRU. That is why I went yesterday to Walmart and grabbed another one at $25; they were only a few left.

If they have more next time I am at Walmart, I might get a few more for the Disney CMF, Batman CMF, and the 2018 BrickkHeadz.

Wish I had the time and energy to check out my local Walmart--at $25 this is a good deal but at $35, not so much. Then again it might go on sale at S@H some day....

It looks like there is some kind of black bar behind the wheel that keeps it up?

I believe you are correct. Like many here, I wasn't a big Ninjago fan... I only picked up what I thought was neat or was on sale. And then THIS wave comes out...
I've just gotta pick up the amazing mechs, Ninjago city, and a lot of the CMFs!

Does anybody know if the Lego Ninjago City poster #5005431 will be available in the UK / Europe - once the movie is released?
  • TheOriginalSimonBTheOriginalSimonB Member Posts: 1,796
Well, this is rubbish compared to the cases seen in the USA...

If you want to display your set of twenty CMFs, just buy three and cut one in half.

(You can use the other half for the LEGO Batman Movie CMFs.)

Can't help but notice Garmadon is reduced in scale compared to the others. Wonder if he'd even fit...

Has anyone seen anything with a Wu Cru Zane? I've seen all of the ninjas with a Wu cru variant except Zane so far.

    Nya - CMF
Kai - dojo pod poly/movie maker sets
    Lloyd - Juniors set/Magazine gift
    Jay - TLNM annual
Cole - Garmadon in Ninjago City book
    Zane - ???

seems like the spinjutzu training set would have been an easy one to put him in.

(Also I realise I could easily make one as they all have the same legs/torso but found it odd that all the others are available except him-unless there's another book or something I haven't seen)

^Maybe he'll be the Minifigure with the Blu-ray release.

It's a possibility but I'd have thought they'd want a Lloyd or Garmadon for that. Before it became available I was half expecting #30609 to be the DVD gift.

Guess I'll keep my eyes peeled and try to remember it's Zane that's not accounted for yet. Admittedly it's easier than Jay/Cole - when I saw the book with Cole I thought it was the Jay fig I'd already seen.
  • Russell844Russell844 Member Posts: 2,483
I'm hoping the fig with DVD will be a wooden Master Wu.

Just watched the movie and was very disappointed for many reasons! :(

However, regarding the sets, I only have a couple of sets so far including #70618 Destiny's Bounty which is an excellent set period, and #70617 Temple of the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon which I bought to get all the ninjago heroes without hoods.

I thought the latter was a good set until I saw the film but there are so many inaccurances compared to the film: the temple statues don't come to life, the bone cage isn't featured near this building in the film (it's on the bridge which has a separate set), the traps as designed don't really make much sense based on what happens in the film, none of the family photos seen in the film are reproduced inside the set and there are numerous irrelevant stickers, and the UUW isn't included in this set (yes I know its fake but it's still an important prop)!

I know they sometimes get the details wrong in film connected sets but surely that shouldn't happen with a LEGO movie!

I thought I would leave the film inspired to get more of the sets but the only set I really want to get now is #70620 Ninjago City, and that's got nothing to do with the film, it's just a very nice large interesting looking set!

Considering just how many spoilers would be in an "authentic" Temple of the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon, I can sort of see why they approached that set the way they did. Personally I think it's quite a nice set either way, with a very unique look and plenty of interesting details, functions, and inside references.

Does anybody know what the idea behind these black pieces are tucked into the corner? Is it just somewhere for the shop keeper to stand?

I saw something about this in the morning and didn't investigate until the Reddit normies shared the link and now it is out of stock! I would've ordered two! Alas, hopefully that price persists for a bit longer.
