I do have a big idea (I've had for awhile) that I'm not sure how to do though. Basically a PF modular system based off of an XL motor hub and spokes (hot swappable jerker lines made of technic axles) that go out to and crank different things. If a line jams, it just pulls off at it's connector.

And so, following their analysis, Vurp and Gl'hurg have hopped into their research ship to find the source of Red Brickium and discovered a mining operation guarded by a cybernetically enhanced dragon...
The ship has spring loaded missiles, a couple of detachable drones and a remote manipulator arm for carrying and collecting samples. The dragon has been enhanced to carry stud shooters and also acts as quality control for the mining team. The mine base features a working crane that can move back and forth between the pit and loading areas.
More pictures by hitting the left arrow from here and as a tribute to the spirit of play they are all taken on the living room floor or table with backgrounds left intact purely to give @SumoLego something to look at!
Edit: Nevermind. After looking through the album, I figured it out.
@TheOriginalSimonB Very thoroughly thought out with the two parts! Mine is also more in the vein of a playset-style entry. Now, to finish it at some point...
My son also wanted to take part and made this superwarrior mech. The play features are shown in his own video as well.

His video: https://flic.kr/p/Nt87tLNothing like squeaking in with an entry during the final hours. I finally got time to film the play features on my build, which can be found here.
Thanks again, @stlux, for sponsoring the contest!
In the meantime there's @Mr_Cross Back to School competition for September here.
Alright, as the theme of this competition was play, I enlisted the help of some kids to judge the entries. Their favorites were:
- @FowlerBricks Cocoa Pod Base was the biggest hit; they loved the launching of the projectiles.
- In second place was another of @FowlerBricks' entries: the net cannon. Because cannon. Seems there's a theme emerging, and why TLG adds stud shooters to everything.
- In 3rd place the kids nominated @snowhitie's playground. Lot of things to do.
I was however also interested what the parents thought. They choose @BillyBricks84 's very clever bandit hideout as the winner in the "what most appeals to the adults" category!@FowlerBricks and @BillyBricks84 please PM me your address, so I can send you your prize!
Congratulations to both winners, and thanks everybody for the great entries.
You can participate in @Mr_Cross' competition for September here. If you would like to host one of these yourself, put your name down here.
@FowlerBricks send me one of your cannons, I'll attach it to my mountain, and we can do what only Pixar movies and frosted Pop Tarts have done before: appease both children and adults with one item.
