Lego World Cup Champions 2018?

Do you think if a certain European country were to win the World Cup, Lego will produce another Collectible Minifigure Series in honor of the champions? As a US fan, we will never have that problem.

Yeah I was wondering this, think it would depend who won. They would have to get a license and need a big enough market.

If they were going to do a cmf series for the world cup it would have launched in May. The German series was out well before Euro 16 began.

European teams are the only ones left so I suppose LEGO might produce a Collectable Minifigures series based upon the winners of this World Cup in advance of Euro 2020, if they believed there would be sufficient interest in that country. After all, Germany is LEGO's largest market per capita so that would certainly have had an influence on releasing the DFB minifigures.

I certainly wouldn't say no to an England series!

The question was for the winners though, so you'd end up with a Belgium series in the end, Cap'n. ;-)

Can we get the edit window raised? :'(

I'm curious about the final though, England with 11 players on their own half, France with 11 on the other, the ball lying down in the middle, everyone looking around and whistling until 120:00 ? :-)

Well at least you Belgium folk can take comfort in the fact that you invented fries and the French can't take that from you.

I don't think LEGO would find sufficient market for a Croatian Collectable Minifigures series but a French series, perhaps...

And why not do an England series anyway, while LEGO are at it? :o)

For me who cares little about soccer I would purchase just because I would want them so I have a complete collection of sets in the Collectible Minifigure Series.  Regarding your comment of US not ever becoming the World Cup champion, I have hope to MASGA.
