Linked Reviews?

At one point, I believe there were reviews on other sites that were linked into BrickSet's database (apart from the video reviews).  Are these gone now?  What happened?

Looks like they were removed in January:

I've also removed an unused feature.
    • Links to external (written) reviews and Eurobricks reviews are no longer shown on set details pages. They were good ideas at the time but hardly anyone is writing reviews these days (everyone creates videos now it seems) so the features were sitting languishing unused and unloved.

Yeah, RIP. The feature was removed since nobody was using it. Video reviews tend to be a bit lazily done I find, with the reviewer often letting the camera do all the work. To be fair, I didn't know the feature even existed until Huw announced it was getting removed, but I think I would have liked it nevertheless.

@Huw removed them as the links apparently weren't being used much. As someone who writes text reviews on my blog and benefitted from the exposure that Brickset provided it was disappointing, but if the links weren't being used then so be it.

Links to video reviews are still available - presumably people are more interested in those, or at least clicked through to them. It's the links to the text reviews that were removed.

^ That's what I'm saying. Video reviewing is a medium where deep thought about the product isn't necessary for the review to be of good quality. It's more show and less tell. That's obviously a good thing for the viewer, but it's a bit sad for the reviewer since a lot more effort goes into making a decent text-only review.
