    My experience has been the opposite. You never know what any given store will have on clearance, unless you get lucky and BrickSeek correctly tells you which one to go to.

    I've tried Brickseek several times and just gave up after never finding what it said stores had in stock.

    It helps to be familiar with the stock levels at your local Walmart.

    I’ve found it to work better at Target than Walmart, but you have to get there ASAP. Also, if the Walmart quantities are less than about 4, then it’s definitely a crap shoot.

    Stepped in Walmart last night hadn't been to in about 3 weeks.  Immediately saw S18 bags laying in wire basket not box.  Got a little excited.  Closer look there were a lot so assumed recently put out and got a little more excited.  Started going through them, but just by way laying there and looks of some of the bags, my excitement reduced.  Was pretty sure someone already beat me to it.  Didn't count but judging by stash, had to be 3 boxes that were put in basket.  Halfway through and no Policeman, my excitement was gone.  Less than 10 min later going through all, no Policeman to be found.  Oh well.

    Proceeded to clearance aisle.  Assumed someone would have cleaned out good deals there too.  Found nothing.  Then on way down aisle to door, there was a clearance table.  There sat 3 #76084 with $30 clearance tag.  Not nearly as good as the $11 one I snagged at another store a few days go.  Scanned on the app.  $11.  So didn't walk away empty handed.

    Today went to another Walmart hadn't been to in about 2 weeks.  A few S18 left that I saw last time.  Shelves a bit messy and empty spaces.  Then on the bottom spotted #75532.  My daughter loves it.  Missed it on the launch price mistake.  So far hadn't found one for the $11 clearance even though a few stores still show in stock on BS.  No price.  Scanned at $11.  BS stock showed 0.  Who knows where it came from as wasn't there 2 weeks ago either.

    As usual, YMMV with Walmart clearance and BS inventory, but a decent couple days for me.

    I found some #41597, Go Brick Me sets for sale for $21.97 which is a good deal for 708 parts. The UPC code is 1927956. I also found 2 stores with brickheads for $2.50.

    I know I have a problem wasted an 1hour and half round trip chasing a bunch of phantom stock clearance sets  at Walmart in the middle of no where last night around 11pm

    Eden Prairie Walmart has more than a dozen #40206 Santas in the clearance aisle for $9.84. So, not a great deal, but if you missed it...

    ^The best thing about Walmart clearance is how terrible they are at marking it. I would guess at least 75% of my great Walmart deals have been unmarked stuff that don't attract the attention of most buyers.

    I found 1 in Reidsville, NC a few weeks back for $2. So some are being marked down.

    I just found some clearance sets at Walmart on my last week in MO. There was only 1 copy of each and they were conspicuously tucked behind other sets... But I found them!

    You guys are killing me with all the speeder bike finds.  I wasted a lot of time and energy in the past couple of weeks chasing phantom stock and came out empty handed.  Still doesn't stop me from constantly checking Brickseek at least once a day, though.  :(

    All the Walmarts in my area have been out of stock forever. Really wanted to catch one on clearance.

    I waited too long in my area. If I would have gotten out there were three stores that had 11 between them. I'm pretty sure the same person got them all, cause they disappeared pretty much the same day. I just didn't have time to drive around. The store where I got the 4 I found was on the way to a work event and one I don't hit often.

    I rarely go to stores where I'm not reasonably familiar with the inventory unless it's on my way somewhere.

    In an odd twist of events, I actually ended up at a Walmart last night and the trip wasn't initiated by a Lego hunt. 

    It's not my usual store I visit, but was sad to see the entire Lego selection behind glass and lock. A few sets on small sales, but nothing worth jumping at. Nothing on clearance either. 

    My streak of no-Walmart-luck continues

    It's at Legoland Discovery Centers. I found one over the weekend. They had a few new bags I have never seen. Not sure about Parks.

    Found a #75186 Arrowhead for $21 and a #70615 Fire Mech for $17 in Hastings tonight while waiting out a thunderstorm. There seemed to be only one of each.

    Yet even with the app it's a pain to scan everything on the chance it's mispriced.
    I did find my first CMF S18 Policeman so I'm not mad at WalMart right now.

    These are at the parks too.  I got a couple when we were at LL FL on Tuesday.

    Found 5 or 6 #10715 Bricks on a Roll for $20 at Bloomington today in the clearance aisle. I grabbed one since it’s a good price per piece.

    Thanks for the heads up!  I managed to get one.  When I looked, the page still said it had 3 in stock.  I tried to get 2 (1 for me, 1 for a friend) and it kept saying OOS.  I changed it to 1 and the order went through.  Here's hoping it doesn't get cancelled.  If it goes through, it makes the fact that I couldn't get one of those clearance speeder bike Constractions sting less... but not really.  =(

    I'm taking a road trip this weekend and have considered mapping ever rural Wal-Mart between my home and final destination. Sure it could cost me several hours and a lot of money...but why not?

    I'm positive it will go well with a 6 year old, 2 year old, and 3 month old waiting in the car with my wife.

    Just pretend you have terrible diarrhea and need to stop at Walmart for the public toilet. Although convincing anyone you want to enter a Walmart restroom might be a harder sell than faking illness.

    My daughter graduates high school on Saturday, so I'll probably hit up a few Walmarts on the way down and back.  I live in Dallas and her graduation is in San Marcos.
