    I've had it confirmed that it's (c) 2018.

Here's one (or 3?) that I just found today:

Found these at a normal toy store (not a LEGO store).  We bought the yellow and pink ones (black one's still at the store).  The information doesn't appear to provide an actual ID number, though.

    Yellow one says:

    ITEM NO: LGO1902
    MADE IN CHINA
    8 42869 00895 3 (SKU)
    (C) 2011

    Also:
"Produced by Funtastic Limited under license from The LEGO Group."
    "Distributed by MZB Imagination, LLC."

There's also an indented number that says "214052 M02??" (last few digits are unreadable, as they were under the price tag, which refused to peel off cleanly)

    The Pink one says:

    ITEM NO: LGO1902
    MADE IN CHINA, DONG GUAN
    8 42869 00895 3 (SKU)
    (C) 2013

Also has the same production and distribution companies.

The indented number on the pink one says "130603LH", and immediately next to that, there's a printed number that says "L039USA".

I photographed the black one's packaging, which looks the same as the yellow but it's hard to make out the indented lettering (I didn't notice it when I was in the store).  The black one's indented lettering looks like it says "214052 M02 ?? D9" (not sure if those question marks are actually intentional markings or not-- hard to tell in the photo).

Each was priced at $4.99 USD

They come under the category 'tat that we don't add to the database' :-)

Not an addition, but a correction—the newly revealed 30532 "Turbo" polybag is currently listed as the only set in the "Ninago" theme. Might want to correct that. ;)

Huh-- I guess I wasn't aware!  Is there any specific delineation there?  Or is it more play-by-ear?  (I guess I'm assuming some of the existing "gear" stuff similarly was made by 3rd parties under license, although I haven't checked)

    @davee123

The rule is it has to be sold at Lego stores and their online shop. This often excludes things like legoland foam weapons, minifig light boxes, and the luggage tags you found.

    Got that fixed, thanks. ;-)

Hi.  Just looking at #75198 and I see that the Astromech and the Tusken raider are listed as Minifigures but the two Jawas aren't.  Any reason?  They seem to be a different print from the earlier (but similar) Jawas.

Am I missing something, or is this item missing from the database?
    https://shop.lego.com/en-US/THE-LEGO-NINJAGO-MOVIE-Play-Display-Case-5005406
The one I bought today at TRU has the “set” number 4070 on the front.

Why not show the ranking for retail value?  You display sets, parts and minifigs collection ranking.....why not retail value?

  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,116
Because we don't have retail values for many sets < 2007.

Random observation: https://brickset.com/sets/6923-1/Particle-Ioniser spells "Ioniser" the British way, but "Particle Ionizer" was only the US name for the set, and US catalogs spelled it with a Z rather than an S. I'm not sure if there are other sets in the database with this sort of issue, but I imagine there might be.

Picked up a copy of this from a local Big W today, can't find it in the database. The Flash minifigure seems to match the Flash minifigure in #76098.

I noticed that you had an entry for the first Force Friday II Poster:
    https://brickset.com/sets/5005443-1/Millennium-Falcon-Poster

But it not for day two or three

i can den high-res scans if you want.

^ Probably only because it was given a 's@h' number by LEGO. If the others have one then I can add them otherwise I'm not too worried. But thanks anyway!

That comes under the 'tat we don't add' category :)

Okies, I just figured since you've got a few of the others, like this one https://brickset.com/sets/ISBN1338112120-1/The-LEGO-Batman-Movie-Chaos-in-Gotham-City, that it these are added because they come with a minifigure.
  • playwellplaywell Member Posts: 2,330
^ That one had a unique figure that wasn't in any other set.
  • VorpalRyuVorpalRyu Member Posts: 2,318
^ My bad, I was sure I had come across a few of the TLBM books with Minifigures on BrickSet at some point, but on checking, my mind must have been playing tricks on me cause that one is the only one listed, think I need to start getting more sleep...
  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,116
It was borderline whether that particular one should be included but as its minifig is unique and desirable it went it.

Just to confuse us, the Joker Manor is (c) 2018 on the box so in its case I'm torn between using the actual release date and the (c) date given it's a D2C set with a defined release date, which was, of course, 2017.

    Thoughts

Another one for you, the Vader Pod thing has 2017 on the bag but clearly came out in 2018 because of the delay.

For some reason #5005244 is marked as not yet released, but it has been available at Target in the US for at least a month now. Some folks on here are even finding it on clearance.
  • ApolloVIApolloVI Member Posts: 2
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 (video game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC) needs to be added to the database. In addition, the Nintendo Switch and PC versions of Lego Worlds need their own entries.

And I don't know how far in advance you list things, but Lego The Incredibles will be coming out in June for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The box art for at least the console versions has been released and can be found on Amazon, Best Buy, etc.

Hmm... can someone explain why this query from the main page (when you click on 'More' underneath the Site Updates sidebar) is returning a load of 2009-2010 sets first, with a dash of earlier ones? No 2018 sets.

    https://brickset.com/sets/order-dateadded?query=*

  • playwellplaywell Member Posts: 2,330
^ That's not what I am getting, I can see mostly 2018 sets with some 1950s and 1960s ones.
  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,116
That's a bug that I just can't fathom out! It occurs randomly.

@ApolloVI, we only add them when sold at s@h. There are loads of games missing but they are not the focus of the site so I put no emphasis on maintaining a comprehensive list.

  • ApolloVIApolloVI Member Posts: 2
@Huw I understand. At a glance though, it seems like you guys are actually closer than you might think in terms of reaching a comprehensive list. Out of curiosity I cross-referenced what you already had in the database vs. what is on GameFAQs (which is what I would consider to be a pretty comprehensive source for video game releases) and found that there isn't a whole lot missing. Most of it is just filling in a few missing platforms of existing games from the last 5 years or so, which means they have readily available box art, release dates, etc. And once you catch up, you'd only have to maintain what's new going forward.

Anyhow, it's obviously your decision to maintain that sort of thing, I get it. But if you change your mind, I'd be happy to help and tell you what to need to add! :-)

How could I refuse your kind offer :) If you can do a gap analysis and send a list of missing tiles, platforms and release dates, and images too, I can add them easily.

    Thanks in advance!

I searched "USB drive" here in the forum, but did not find any posts about the item I was looking for.

I bought a pair of USB drives that are 2X4 bricks.  They are just like 5004363-1: Brick USB Flash Drive, except that they are each 8GB instead of 16GB.

Is this something that would be considered a new set, or should there just be a note on the current entry to let users know that there are both 8GB and 16 GB versions of the drives?

    Thanks,
    David

Hahah one year warranty in the US, and two year warranty in Europe.

They come under the 'tat' umbrella I'm afraid having been produced by a licensee and not sold st s@h.
  • CrazylegomanCrazylegoman Member Posts: 12
What is the 'tat' umbrella?  Surely there are other criteria for sets being added to the Brickset database other than not being licensed out and being sold at S@H, otherwise sets, such as many of the books, would not be in the database.

I read the article about what is included in the database, and if it held true, items such as ISBN080509539X-1: Cool Castles would not be listed.  Is there an additional set of criteria other than what's in that article for which items belong in the database?

    Thanks,
    David

As far as I've gathered, to be included in the database an item must either be sold (or have been sold) by Lego online, or is otherwise a recognised Lego set pre-dating the Lego website or which was only available through other means (such as a special event, intended only for schools, etc.), or is a non-set that has been deemed to have value to the community - such as some books, etc.

I think there is value in listing any item that includes a Lego stud (or inverted stud as seen in Technic) that can be attached to system/duplo/primo or any of the other recognised variants, but I recognise the work involved in that and Huw has to draw the line somewhere.

Agreed… though probably less than a month until LEGO's cache gets updated with the good high-res pics.

App Controlled Batmobile is priced incorrectly. Brothers Brick has updated their article on the price of #76112; it is now$100 USD/ $110 CAD instead of $160 USD

Probably due to the coaster track parts included.

Would it be possible to get https://brickset.com/minifigs/tlm080 to show up under my "minifigures owned" list? I clicked on "I own 1 loose" but it still doesn't show up.

    Thanks!
