Well, it's been a disruptive year for me, so I haven't had a chance to build.  I did really enjoy putting together the holiday sets at the end of last year - I think I got three of them all together before something happened and I had to do something else.  Sigh...

    Thanks for hosting @stlux

I haven't built any this year but I had to pack up my #8110 Unimog to make room for visitors.  I rolled it around a bit like I did after I built it before I put it away.  Does that count?  :P

I'd go for the VW Camper Van as it was my first 'advanced' build!

The little friendship flower poly bag #30404. I built it to relax after a rough work day and it still makes me smile when I see it. Have fun in Billund and thanks for hosting!

Not sure if I made it, but I’d say #6971

I don't think i've really built much this year, just a couple of brickheadz.

Looking forward to building the Technic Jet, but perhaps the B model private jet.

The Porsche GT3 I got for Christmas as well.

Just need some room to build first.

One in Three Thousand, Four Hundred and Eighty One*
    * This calculation doesn't account for Sumos overall probability of actually ENTERING two bonus balls in a row. We could determine that probability by examining Sumos entries to all previous Bonus balls and, I expect, come up with a truly staggering (and accurate) probability.

Seems like one of those genuine "Odds, don't tell me the odds" moments missed...

Think this is the fourth time someone wins two weeks in a row. Brickset (or maybe karma in this case) breaks the odds it looks like.
    Congrats :)

On second thought... if I win a few more of these, maybe I can shame @stlux into sending me one those LEGO House sets...
    @SumoLego
Rather than shame, you mean ask him nicely, possibly pushing your double decker luck? I mean, if this was a raffle would you opt for a mystery box? ;o)

I’m not sure what more I’d be letting myself in for if I rubbed @SumoLego.

If you look at the marketplace feedback forum you can see that just about everyone on the forum has good @SumoLego luck. A deserving two-time winner if ever there was one. Congrats!
Totally agree with that. I am one of them!

And this is why the Forum is meme-free.

Anyway, I appreciate all of the positive responses.  I went a long time missing and losing raffles, so it all evens out.

Perhaps the real winner is @stlux with only one trans-atlantic shipping expense

I'll make sure I'll send something over the Atlantic that reflects the achievement of @SumoLego winning 2 draws in a row and his general awesomeness! (And not just any draw: 2 Billund draws!)

In case I were to run another Billund draw next Friday (permitting having any money left to get more Lego House stuff...) I might add a disclaimer about repeat winners ;)
Or do we want to test the odds of of @SumoLego winning 3 draws in a row? @MAGNINOMINISUMBRA What are the odds on that? And @snowhitie has anybody winning 3 weeks in a row already happened?
  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
@stlux never had a 3 week in a row winner I think, so if you fancy doing another one, feel free to give it a go; just le me know how much money you've got left over :) .

Think with all the activitiy on the forum and all the draws @SumoLego has already orginised, it would be definilty fun to try it out and he'd be a worthy winner.

205379/1 odds of winning three times in a row!
Again, based on constant participation. As a lover of statistics and patterns,  I thought more about @SumoLego actual participation (not in a creepy way) and while being quite modest in my spit balled numbers believe the double win to actually represent odds of a couple of hundred thousand to one.  The ACTUAL probability of three in a row based on past participation is several million to one.

@snowhitie observation that this is the fourth double win is also quite interesting (I knew there had been two or three) as the overall entrant pool is quite small and the ability to enter each week is neither constant or guaranteed yet there are those who win multiple times while other never do so...
Statistically speaking, there are some lucky sum bitches out there.

May the odds forever be in your favour...

205379/1 odds of winning three times in a row!
The odds depend on the exact wording of the question. The odds of @sumolego winning next time and now making it three in a row are only 59/1 (assuming he gets an entry in). This is, of course, different to the 205379/1 odds of winning three in a row starting from scratch. Which is why statistics are often meaningless unless the wording is extremely clear, as otherwise people may interpret the wording in a different way.
