Just bought the UCS Falcon and Y-Wing with double points on the Falcon. I originally chose not to get the new Falcon but regretted missing out on it in the end and was pretty happy to see it back in stock for this promotion.

Kind of strange that the Y-Wing didn't qualify for double points though, oh well.

Are you sure you got double points on the Falcon? I checked but my cart didn’t show double points on it.

Yeah, it said something like 1300 or so points would be earned.

You may have to hit the EDIT/CHECKOUT button to see the correct VIP points.

I totally get why the Y-Wing doesn’t qualifies for x2 points, but the MF does. The YW just came out! Why lose cashing in on those that can't wait and have to have it as soon as it’s available? There’s all the time in the world to put YWs on sale.

There's MUCH less demand for the MF now. Is there really any demand? I mean besides a few stragglers I figured anyone that wanted 1 would have found it by now. I believe TLG have been and still are pumping out tons of these and will be sitting on them for quite a while.

I love how the blue card is supposedly a black VIP card exclusive, yet some other retailers also have stock to give away.

Yes, I'm in Birmingham in the UK. :)
The snowspeeder is actually available elsewhere in the UK for 20% off (Smyths Toys) but the extra freebie and 2xVIP sealed he deal.

I'm undecided, with my lunchbreak looming, whether to shoot through to the Metrocentre and pick up Y-Wing UCS, BB8 bobblehead (with poor reviews) and the crummy black card poster. Or not bother. If they'd chuck in a leftover Vader pod i'd be more sure. 30 mins to make my decision...

@monkeyhanger - They wouldn't give me or my wife vader pods at the metrocenter. Instruction from head office :( She even popped in last night and confirmed they had pods still available and said that she'd be coming today.

Brainslugged. Just been to Metrocentre and got my Y-Wing, despite initial reaction of the built one in the window was that I was slightly underwhelmed by it. Had to dig out the code on my phone's email to get my poster (no automatic recognition of black card status?). They didn't look to input the code, just acknowledge that I had one. They threw in a freebie Scarif Trooper with the BB8. The guy serving seemed a bit sheepish at how crap the poster was when he handed it over. I said "wow! The best thing about the black VIP card is the actual card.". He agreed and thought it should at least be as big as the model (A3).

No surprise deal in store, everything same as online. Talked with the employees, and debated on what to get. Decided to get USC Snowspeeder as it was to oldest set I don't have. Waited in line, and since I was the first one to show up before the store opened they said they had an open Y-wing that they were saving for me with bonus points.(sometimes working midnights has it's advantage). So I put back the Snowspeeder, and got the Y-wing.

I did the same, although I'm not sure why I need a second #75144 in reality....

I'm expecting the usual, disappointed, look from Mrs Lobot when it arrives!

Yeah! That Scarif trooper is totally wicked! (or awesome if you like)
I would not mind TLG doing a Scarif trooper battle pack set with two regular Scarif troopers that were in #75171 and one identical to the polybag, and a regular white stormtrooper covered with sand and patches of dust. And as a small build: some weapons crates (with proper minifig SW blasters), an orange cyber crystal container, and/or a small power generator console display plug-in thingy.

Picked up #75187 at the Mall of America LEGO store today, and got the bobble-8 poly and the “poster”. Interestingly, all I had to do to get the poster was mention I had a black card. The cashier didn’t ask for my secret code.

I got the Y-wing (and Moloch's Landspeeder) at Mall of America yesterday. I got the BB-8, Vader pod, and Y-wing poster. I don't have a black VIP card. Then later at a Wal-mart, feeling Series 18 bags looking for Cactus Girl, I found the Classic Policeman! Cactus girl too. It was a very good May the Fourth!!

Making a VIP Black Card give-away available to everyone is exponentially lame. Especially when there really hasn't been any exclusive perks to begin with.

Unless the blueprint isn't really exclusive. I suppose that's a different kind of lame.

Thanks for the offer @560Heliport, but I wasn’t really very interested in it. I just wondered why we were treated differently. Maybe you got the Vader pod for NOT being a black card holder ;)

I picked up the UCS YW at 0001 on the 4th. When I initially had the YW in my cart, it was putting the Vader pod as my gwp instead of the BB8 poly. When I got shipping info, it had been changed to BB8. I wanted the Vader pod!
