I seemed to have gone Microfighters crazy this week. Mrs Speedman came back with   #75195 from Tescos for £10 at the weekend. I picked up #75196 from Sainsburys for the same today and I've got #75073 coming from ebay for £7, just need to get two more and I have a full set from every series.

I picked up 5 Series 18 bags today.

For some reason I seem to be having buyers remorse... This is a Lego first for me.

Haven't bought much LEGO lately as I have been saving for the UCS MF. Plan on getting it May 4. Too bad that it is excluded from double VIP points.

Took advantage of the double S@H freebies(minifig factory and Darth Vader pod) this morning and picked up #75206 #75208 #75209 and some pick a brick. Now I'll just need to control myself on May 4th..

Local Bricks and Minifigs store had just gotten a complete copy of #10241 in, with pristine box to match, and had it at ~$150.   Some of the larger stickers applied, but most of them still on the sheet.  It was on my wanted list, and $150 was quite the steal, so I'm pretty happy.  Think the first thing I'm going to do is take it all apart, then rebuild it to make sure everything is in good shape.

Back from a sunny visit to Milton Keynes Lego store in the UK after picking up quiet a haul:

Lots of small sets! Including 13 BrickHeadz sets, all the new series 18 minifigures, 6 out the the 7 batman movie series 2 minifigures that I still need (I will have to get Black Vulcan from eBay now). I also picked up all the Avengers: Infinity War sets which I plan to make before I see the movie.

I picked up #75209 Han Solo's Landspeeder to reach the £55 Star Wars threshold for free Darth Vadar pod. It looks like a great set and I wanted to see what the Corellian Hound looks like in the flesh!

Just won an auction on eBay for a #21133 the Witch's Hut, effectively just scored it for the local retail price, plus shipping ($99 + $10). The two sets for Minecraft we had thought we'd missed out on (the other being the Village), we've managed to score, life is good.

@FowlerBricks,  I wish I came across one at $40 here, Australian RRP was $99, that would have been approx 60% off, we're lucky to manage 30% off at the best of times. Unfortunately the Witch's Hut & all the other sets from that wave weren't on shelves long enough to go on sale.

That stinks. Walmart here was marking all the Minecraft stuff way down and left it that way for months. I managed to get the Jungle temple for $25. Didn't get the Witch Hut though.

My 13 year old has gotten out of building official LEGO sets and has been free building military vehicles. We found the Brickmania store in Chicago and he has wanted pretty much all of the models there. We threw down for their Battle of the Bulge book and I have been putting together and buying bricklink tests. So now he has been building military vehicles and I've been nerding out on Bricklink. Pretty sure I'm going to buy all of the books they make.

    Good Lego trip to Germany:

Galeria Kaufhof had 1 discounted #75098 Assault on Hoth set left. I don't have many Hoth sets yet, so it's a good starter set for a Hoth scene and at the price I paid I can ignore the UCS label.

The Lego Store had a box with light bley masonry bricks, so I filled a PAB cup with those. They were kinda out of #5005358 Minifigure Factory, but because I'm a regular customer who always fills in their surveys, the person who served me was told to go get me one from the store room. Didn't even have to ask.

    A good Lego day!

Had a lovely time at the Lego store yesterday, there was a great selection of colours on the PAB wall. Dark blue, dark green, dark red and sand green. Some very cool colours that I didn't have many of, so it was nice to get some more. Also some small green plant leaves, so I might have a go at building some trees. :)

^ Which store was that, out of interest? Nothing of the sort in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago, though there was a bin of various printed dress 2x2x2 slope pieces, which I didn't get any of but they definitely caught my eye.

Sheffield Meadowhall, there were also some nice bits in the build a minifig section, I got some Indian chief hats and some white heads which will make some great vampires :D

I think I'm out of the dark ages finally. There were a few odd pieces that I didn't have but needed,    Bricklink is a whole heck of a lot better than my old method (and cheaper) which was buy a set locally because it had a couple of parts I needed. That method I think was what led to my dark ages in the first place.

Hard to believe all these parts (a total of nearly 100, mostly large parts and minifig accessories including some specialty/rare parts that only showed up in a couple sets)  cost me less than twenty bucks with shipping.

I bought some parts to put some side doors on 60179 (in the style of 7903), ten of the old style stretcher (complete assembly with the folding "legs"), replacement "legs" for my childhood versions of the old style stretcher (the legs tended to break a lot for some reason), attachment for stretcher to winch, assorted doors , winches and hooks (I for some reason lost a bunch of hooks over the years) and suitcases in green, red, and yellow (to represent bags of EMS equipment). And a magnifying glass--a part I was always curious about, but never had. I hear it magnifies quite well.

It would be nice for the 1x8 and 1x2 with groove to come back. That would make building the green grocer exponentially cheaper.

HUGE thanks for mentioning that, @Pebbles! It made me go catch that train straight after a night shift (Up since 4pm UK on Friday)

This honestly is the best I've ever seen the Sheffield PaB Wall. It has the glory pieces from 2013 / 2014 (Dark Red 1x2 Brick / Light Bley 1x2 'Brick' Bricks) and so SO many more like 1x1 Light Bley tiles. Yes, TILES!

Like @blakusdk I took advantage of Target's sale combined with an Ebay sale to nab the new TIE Fighter and a Batman CMF for $75 + free postage. Why a single Batman CMF, you ask? Well, I needed a minimum spend of $80 for free postage, and 20% of $99 is only $79.20. Damn technicalities. I bet I get a double.

Realised that I would not get to a Tesco in a timeframe where DJ would still be there and that once I added on fuel it would be cheaper from eBay.

Then decided that I might as well get the scarif trooper...... and put a watch on a few other poly and I wanted.

Then I remembered I can convert nectar vouchers in to eBay credit.

Now I have 6 poly bags that I wanted for very little real money. Nice.

I will enjoy opening them and then consigning them to the drawer of minifigure purgatory.

^ On the subject and with that picture, why do TLG put a "cut here" line, where... if you cut there... the baggy isn't actually open? Even where you cut it's totally close to the glue part, still... :P

Good point. Perhaps the intention is "use scissors", and not specifically "cut here"? Though it's a mystery why they don't just lower it a bit...
