3 horses was a great draw, probably the last time it happened.

I hope you all are excited for a HP Castle that rivals the "size" of the #71592 Millennium Falcon! ;)

I know I am looking forward to it.

^ also expect it to be a fair bit cheaper! How much cheaper I can't say but it will be a lot more affordable.

Finally Lego has made an affordable stagecoach! I don't really care for HP sets, but the ones that have been revealed look amazing. I'm just hoping this won't retail for $35 here in Sweden.
What was wrong with this one ...? It was fairly cheap and significantly better than the HP one.

It was cheap in the States ($29.99); but an absurd €49.99 in Europe.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
^ That is crazy, unless it was priced like that to sell at 50%. In UK, it was £30, but easy to get for £19-20 for much of its retail life.
  • the_creative_boxthe_creative_box Member Posts: 90
^It was even worse in Sweden: €60. It seemed like a great set, but it just wasn't worth the money, even with those three horses. I can see why others love it, but they probably paid half that sum to get their hands on it, unless they live in Scandinavia.
  • wardmwardm Member Posts: 888
can't wait for all those sets to be available for purchase! I hope the other sets keep up with the high standard from the two revealed so far!

That's outrageous! It's not as if LEGO is a Scandinavian company or anything ;). Although from what I've heard Danish prices are harsh too. Do you have fierce sales tax or something?

I don’t understand what the yellow frog is supposed to be
weren't there candy frogs or chocolate frogs or something? It has been a long time since I read or watched these.
Neville Longbottom had a pet frog named Trevor, that would be my best guess. Ron had a pet rat named Scabbers (which turned out to be a transmogrified person who betrayed Harry Potter's parents and had them killed). Hermoine had a cat, Harry had an owl. There were enchanted chocolate frogs that moved, but they were brown so it wouldn't make sense if they're yellow here.

^^ Our sale tax rate is 25 % and our average salary is €2400, and those numbers are likely same for the other Scandinavian countries. However, I think the Danish and Finnish pricing is 5-10 % lower than in Sweden.

Harry Potter and Hedwig (41615), and Hermione Granger (41616). These sets are expected to be released sometime this fall. Both sets highlight our classic HP characters during their first days as students of Hogwarts. Set 41615 highlights Harry’s Gryffindor black robe, that comes with a unique 1×1 printed tile for the Gryffindor coat of arms, a printed 1×4 tile for the end portion of his red and yellow scarf, and a wand. The Harry Potter BrickHeadz will also use the newer circular eyeglasses piece which I think was first used in Go Brick Me (41597). Lastly of course, he will also use a unique 1×4 printed tile piece that shows his iconic forehead scar.

Hedwig’s BrickHeadz iteration is not to be outdone either: the snowy white owl seems to use a new kind printed of piece for his wings as well. We’ll confirm this once we have a better image of the set. This version of Hedwig also adds to the roster of LEGO’s ever-growing non-humanoid BrickHeadz builds that LEGO came up with after the official reveal of the Jurassic World Owen and Blue (41614) set.

Hermione Granger (41616) also shows a BrickHeadz version of her during her early years at Hogwarts. It features her gray cardigan and tie uniform (there’s a unique printed tile for her necktie), a spell book and a wand. All in all, this collection of LEGO BrickHeadz took their inspiration from the classic, early years of Harry Potter as we can see below.

I swear Lego is out to ruin me with these Brickheadz. It's only a matter of time until they outnumber Funko POP at this rate.

Add another few Brickheadz to the quickly growing list of "can't not buy"...

I wouldn't put much weight in the artwork.  It's generic HP imagery through a LEGO filter.  I'd only really rely on the Visual Dictionary.  If there is going to be a new Visual Dictionary...

As someone just pointed out to me:  If you can get an army of these, you could stage an amazing Niffler vs the Goblins of Gringotts battle scene.

Are we getting a quidditch set? If not Marcus Flint seems like a strange choice for a minifigure. I actually thought it was Credence when I first saw the picture, as the hair is very similar to his and I know we're getting Fantastic Beast sets.

@Pebbles It's rumoured that we are to be getting a Quidditch set as well as the Knight Bus. I think this leak pretty much confirms the rumour as it is a strange choice for a CMF. :-D

Somehow, Oliver Wood actually kind of works, but Marcus Flint is terrible. The lack of capes  was annoying in the Great Hall set, but here I think it's a real problem. You can't have quidditch players without flapping robes... I'm very glad I have a few quidditch players from 2010. This quidditch set will have to have a very good build if I'm going to buy it. These minifigs are not a selling point...

On a positive note, Ron and Harry from the Aragog set look good. Their torsos from the original Aragog set were probably the best, most accurate muggle clothes made in the entire history of Harry Potter LEGO, so it's good to see that the remake lives up to that.

Speaking of Harry and Ron's attire and printed robes rather than cloth capes; maybe the CMF versions of the trio will be printed with school robes. That might actually look pretty good. Especially for Hermione.

I instigated a bit of a discussion on the LL Discord and there's a consensus that if there is a Hogwarts Express it'll be coming in wave 2 or after.
