Large Star Wars collection for sale

BoomstickBoomstick Member Posts: 247
Hey Guys,

Thought I would test the waters or get some feedback on a large collection of Legos I have. Looking to get rid of all the Star Wars sets I have collected. I was building and collecting with my little girl but she has moved on to other things and isn’t interested anymore. They were built and displayed that’s it not played with. 100% complete. I’m located in Indiana. I don’t have a set price in mind am open to fair offers and can bag and ship everything. I have all instruction manuals included. If you think you might be interested send me a pm or message.

The pics have alot but I'm only interested in selling the star wars sets. The cmfs, ninjago, city and ships and odd stuff are not for sell or the brikheadz. If anyone is interested let me know shoot me an offer.

    Thanks,

    Corey

I'm interested - but there's no way I can afford it, plus i live in the UK.
    Hope you find a buyer!

You should post a list of all sets with the set numbers and condition (complete? With all figs? Instructions? Box?).
  • BoomstickBoomstick Member Posts: 247
They are all complete just no boxes. All figs and instructions.

If you reach a point where you are willing to sell off parts of the collection let us know.  I understand wanting to sell it all at once, but I think you'll find that most people here have enough of those sets that they don't want all of them.  However, I could definitely see myself buying off a number of pieces of the collection if the price is right.

I will let you guys know.  I feel if I break it up and piece it out it won't be worth the time or money.

    That’s a tempting offer lol

What price would you plan to list it for on eBay? That's probably a great starting point for all of on here that are potentially interested. Otherwise, we're all just shooting in the dark.

He seems so hesitant to give a price. Why make multiple buyers do all the leg work just to get turned down when you are the one selling the lot? He didn't even list the sets.

This is the description in the auction:

What you see is what you get. I am open to reasonable offers. All sets are 100% complete from the home of an adult collector. All instruction manuals are included. Smoke free pet free home. Feel free to ask any questions. Also includes free shipping. Thank you for looking.

Now there's a great way to make friends and entice buyers...

To make life easier for everyone I did the math.  Based on everything I could see, and I know there's a couple $14.99 battle packs that I couldn't tell where one stopped and the next began, I added up everything that I could tell were discreet sets, rounding them up from $69.99 to $70, for example, just to make it easier.  I came up with $2,830 at RRP.  That's not counting tax or taking into account sets that were discounted to various degrees. Like I said, I'm sure I missed a couple smaller ones in there but that figure is in the right ballpark. Hopefully that should help a prospective buyer. Also, it'll save any prospective buyer the half hour that just took me, and I'm only just curious.

Now, that being said, there are several sets still easily available directly from Lego, who just happened to start a double points promo today until the end of the month. More importantly, though, I certainly wouldn't want to deal with the vagueness which I've read on this thread.  No one is obligated to purchase anything, and if you want to wait for a fair price, that's certainly your prerogative.  I do think you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar, as the saying goes.

I’m sorry if some of you have been offended by lack of item numbers. They are now posted. No offense was meant to be anything but joking with you Guys. I’m an officer in the Army and have two small children so just now am getting time to list the sets by item number.

Can a mod delete this thread. I' rather just take it off of here as I've clearly offended members when I didn't expect too. Would rather just close it.

Yes, the people trying to help you sell your stuff sure are terrible.

A quick bit of advice on functionality here - if you stick a # in front of the set number, it'll link straight through to the Brickset database (just to help clarify exactly which set it is for those not totally familiar with set names) - eg #75139 - Battle of Takodana
