Hello, I was wondering how many factory sealed LEGO bags 10182 (Cafe Corner) is supposed to have. I heard it was 25 bags? Thanks.

I am curious as to the answer to this question...

I'm curious as to the reason for asking the question... :P

Perhaps someone bought a factory sealed Cafe Corner and wants to know if the set they received is really complete, without building it right now.

I have a sealed Cafe Corner in the closet, I was thinking of going to check to see what was in it, just to be sure it was complete.

I purchased a Green Grocer from Target a year or so ago and the box showed up with one side open. I called the Lego Store and they luckily had an open one in the back. They went and counted the bags for me. It's been a while so I don't remember the final count. I think the number of bags and loose plates is an essential aspect of any set inventory and I'm hopeful that these kinds of things start being noted by the community.

Can you add a database field for this info? I would be happy to start keeping track and sending you the info.
  • OdinduskOdindusk Member Posts: 763
I could also contribute my knowledge of box contents of all of my sets, if it were asked of me.
  • oldtodd33oldtodd33 Member Posts: 2,694
Ok, I went and counted the empty bags in my set and came up with (10) number 1's (6) number 2's and (9) number 3's. These bags all had numbers on them. So it looks like you heard correctly, 25.

    Cafe Corner has numbered bags?

That is good to know... Building GE right now, the numbered bags make it nicer. I don't presort bags, I just empty each bag into a Rubbermaid container and go to town. The larger unnumbered bag sets can be a pain. I'm looking at you 10179!!!!

This question and comments from @Odindusk and @LegoFanTexas on another thread got me worried so I pillaged my Gorm shelves and verified my Fire Brigade lot number (32S9) and then doublechecked the contents of my two semi-opened modulars.

I didn't see any blank bags when I checked and I looked for those as I was counting because most if not all of the other sets I've built do have blank bags and I saw none. That doesn't mean I can't be wrong but I believe this info to be correct as I save everything after I build.

Hi, Just picked up an 8019 Republic Attack Shuttle in TRU in an opened box. Can anyone please confirm how many bags there should? I have 8 bags. Thanks in advance.
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
Hello, you are correct. There should be 8 bags.

    Hope this helps,

Number of bags included in a Lego set box is always a problem.
TLG should include the number of bags that are in the box on the first page inside of the instructions... JMO
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
@1brickshyofcrazy That would be a problem if you don't have the manuals. :(

@Dad No problem. Have fun building. :)
  • 1brickshyofcrazy1brickshyofcrazy Member Posts: 31
True but TLG does do a good job of providing most of the instructions in PDF format on the TLG website and I don't see why they wouldn't include it in the PDF as well...

I would assume they do that because how they package a set could change at any time and they'd have to make a change to the instructions, website, etc.

If they leave it out, they are free to change packaging method at any time.

So there were no "Blank" bags in the Cafe Corner?
Thanks for the information, Yellowcastle! Is it possible that lots have different bag counts?

I purchased a 'new' Grand Emporium on eBay. The listing noted that the box was damaged. When it arrived I checked for number of bags. There were only 8 #3 bags. I would like to give the seller the benefit of a doubt. But 8 vs 11 bags is a huge disparity.

I do have eBay buyer protection. So things should work out ok. But I would rather have a complete set than have my money back and no set.

Hopefully someone else can verify my counts above but I believe they're accurate.

I also counted the bags in my GE lot #09S0 and I agree with @Yellowcastle on his bag count.

Thank you very much, oldtodd33 and Yellowcastle. I will be returning the set to the seller.

Just want to make sure i received 10195 (Republic Dropship and AT-OT Walker) with all the pieces. I ordered from amazon, but the box came pretty damaged.
    I´m counting:
    10 #1
    11 # 2
    and one bag without numbering.

Just wanna make sure i got the complete set.

Hello, there should be 10 #1 bags, 1 bag without a number, and 12 #2 bags. It seems you miscounted the other #2 bag. Doesn't seem ethical for Amazon to have taken out a bag. If you are sure that you only have 11 #2 bags, call Amazon and ask for an exchange or 10% refund, or something like that.

    Hope this helps,
    Brian

@Huw It seems we should create a database to store all the info on how many bags there are suppose to be in a set.
  • borracho79borracho79 Member Posts: 11
thanks, you were right, i miscounted one bag.. It´s complete. I agree that i would be very helpful to get the info on numbers of bags in the database.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
@borracho79 - you say you ordered from Amazon. Did you buy from Amazon.com Retail, or from a third party seller?

Amazon Retail has been sold out for a few weeks, if you bought from them and it was so damaged that a bag is missing, all they can offer you is a refund.

If it was a third party and FBA, Amazon will take it back and refund your money. If a third party, non-FBA, you'll have to fill out a return request on Amazon's web site, more of a pain, but the rules are they should take it back.

I agree! I would be happy to help populate the database as I buy sets.
  • borracho79borracho79 Member Posts: 11
@LegoFanTexas - i did buy it directly from amazon. For some reason someone decided to send it without proper packaging (a.k.a shipping boxes) and just sent the lego box itself with the bags inside. At least all the bags are in there. But the box looks like it felt from the trunk or airplane!

  • borracho79borracho79 Member Posts: 11
Actually i cant complain, as i used my american express (company card) rewards points to purchase the set from amazon.. and it was on sale (like US41.00 below the MSRP).

I'd love to agree, only I've handled two complete UCS X-wings with different number of sealed bags. I queried this discrepancy by asking TLG and Bricklink stores to find that other sets varied by the number of bags they contained.

I think the database would be a good idea but could never be conclusive.

Have fun building this set as I just finished mine earlier this week. The AT-OT is pretty easy but the Dropship itself is a pain in some spots. Just pay very close attention to the instructions when doing that build.

Anyone know the bag count on the LEGO Creator Grand Emporium 10211 set?
    I have:
    Bag#1 has 9 bags
    Bag#2 has 7 bags
    Bag#3 has 11 bags
    1 bag with no #

If you know please confirm the bag counts...

    Thanks...

I have merged these discussions and re-generalized the thread title. Additionally, whenever there is a consensus, I will move that info to the top in a more formalized fashion.

I opened my sealed Green Grocer tonight and I wanted to report the inventory to Brickset:

    Batch #26S0
    baseplates: x2
    instruction booklets: x3
unnumbered bags: x1 (full of mostly 2x16 flats)
    #1 bags: x8
    #2 bags: x5
    #3 bags: x10

So, this confirms what @Yellowcastle reported earlier in this thread.
  • OdinduskOdindusk Member Posts: 763
I also opened my Grand Emporium as well, and my inventory confirms what was reported a couple posts above:

    Batch #46R1
    baseplates: x1
    instruction booklets: x3
    unnumbered bags: x1
    #1 bags: x9
    #2 bags: x7
    #3 bags: x11

    Hi!
I've got a chance to grab the Hagrids Hut set but the person offering it seems to think it's not all there. I don't suppose anyone can give me a quick runthrough of what's in the box - how many bags, stickers, and if there are any loose parts that LEGO somnetimes put in as well as bags ?

Massive thanks for any help you can give!
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
I wish there was a place to view box inventory. Number of bags, weight, and other notes would be nice. Brickset has this but without the # of bags and weight. I've had to do this with a bunch of sets recently. I search google til I find someone on a forum that has a detailed review of the set. They usually attach a picture of the bag count with the actual number of bags. Although, I'm not having too much luck right now on google. Good luck, I will keep looking as well.

Call Lego S&H. I asked them if they could verify contents for me and they said they could. Haven't got around to it yet but its my intention :P

Nice one... the stuff is on it's way regardless but it would be great to know what's coming. Hee Hee!!!

Is it the most recent one? I have one unopened, if you'd like me to find it in the basement and open it let me know. It's going to be opened eventually but it's being stored while we're waiting for our daughter to get into Harry Potter.
  • AmikoAmiko Member Posts: 97
Thanks for the offer. Very kind of you but I've managed to find a download of the instructions so I now have a good idea of what to expect.

I found a good site with thumbnails of instruction pages that I could scan through quickly... Might be worth looking at if anyone doesn't know about it already

I've recreated this discussion so that a master list can be maintained in the first post. We're missing the Fire Brigade and Pet Shop if an inventory can be posted and confirmed for each. Additionally, we still need to confirm some details on CC and TH. Thanks to @dougts for the preliminary TH specs.
  • oldtodd33oldtodd33 Member Posts: 2,694
^ What do you need for CC?
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
Plate type...I assume there are three instruction books...
  • dougtsdougts Member Posts: 4,110
TH has 3 instruction books. also, more detail if anyone cares:

    2 instruction books
    2 green 32x16 baseplates

    2 instruction books
2 dark bluish grey 32x16 baseplates
