And good luck with the new meds today @catwrangler, hope the temple is coming along nicely and you'll start feeling better soon.
Her and her husband are awesome!
Also got the fun news that my mother-in-law wants to give me a gift for the help I gave her recently and she suggested to get me that Harry Potter I was so enthusiastic about. Still a while to go until it come out, but so nice that she likes and actually encourages my hobby :) Very nice surprise, a good Saturday.
I am not looking forward to having to take it apart!
Happened to be passing local Tesco just before closing. Decided to make a detour and see if any of the polybags that have been appearing in various Tescos might be there.
Did not have much hope as local supermarkets are all pretty useless for lego. I found a well rummaged box, with ninjago and friends on top. Had a little rummage. A pug. Oh and another. And another, and one more. Left very happy with 4 #30542 pugs, and successfully smuggled them into the stash. :D
And congratulations @Switchfoot55
I helped a fair bit with the foliage as it kept falling apart, was pretty robust by the time I'd finished! They then added caterpillar track bridges between them to make a huge forest.
I'm home alone today, got a big box of train track, some fresh batteries and a pile of snacks ready for a super lazy day.
This has also come with a realisation why sets in general do not come with a lot of scenery or on large baseplates. I have never built anything that has used so many bricks, just to get a basic structure on a 32x32 plate and so far I have used 6 of them just for the 2 longest sides of the coffee table that they will go round.
It has made the weekends remarkably therapeutic though, as sitting down, surrounded by loads of baggies filled with Lego and not knowing what's going to end up coming out of them is strangely satisfying. :)
Back in Germany after an enjoyable week in the UK.
Drove over so I could bring back a load of provisions as well as these two beauties that have been patiently awaiting transportation chez les folks since last summer/autumn :-)
...And while over in the UK, briefly met up with fellow Bricksetter @LostInTranslation to conclude a couple of trades, and she kindly gave me this to add to my 30xxx poly collection - another one to tick off the list. Many thanks!!! :-))
@Legopants some nice sets in your future, you have to build!
And I've had a good Lego day again too, done some more on my fire brigade, first floor is well underway.
More trans-clear! This time the complete prototype minifigure with a very, very rare Chief Tarfful prototype headpiece.
@floridabrick - Look at what you're started! Do you have a trans-clear prototype monofig?
Fortunately I have a fur coat :-)
Still a long way to go, but progress!
Received a few Birthday gifts last night.
The New Diner set. https://brickset.com/sets/10260-1/Downtown-Diner
1968 Mustang Fastback https://brickset.com/sets/75884-1/1968-Ford-Mustang-Fastback
And book on the history of Minifigs.
So I'm pretty happy!
I have decided that 75889’s unboxing(when it’s delivered( shall be watched by minifigure Enzo Ferrari and the FXX K. Well, and maybe my Ferrari MOCs....
Legopants attempting to conquer the north face of Mont Orange...

Returned from my trip to the UK with a huge stash of Reese's peanut buttery goodness :-))
Still waiting to find time to build my Downtown Diner, luckily my backlog consists of only that.
This helped with the Diablo: https://youtu.be/l96WF5sVf2M
@snowhitie - those look lovely. It took me a while to figure out that one of the roses #852786 was from 2010 though! That's because Brickset doesn't tag it as a flower.
I've not posted properly on here for a while. So, we went to the Trafford Centre last week, and I managed to take the boys to the LEGOLAND shop there (no time for the actual Discovery Centre, unfortunately, we were there to watch Black Panther).
I picked up another 2 mini ultimate batmobiles so that I could build the alternate models for the poly. I also got the Royal Talon Fighter poly from Black Panther. My boys picked up a couple of polybags for themselves (ANOTHER Batmobile, and Kylo Ren's Shuttle). The girls were in Primark. My idea of hell, but anyway.
As the boys were looking around, they saw the Friends friendship flower poly #30404 and the Flower Display set #40187 and said "Dad! That would make a great Mother's Day present for Mum - can we get them?" So we have those to give her on Mother's Day, along with a chick, because who doesn't like chicks?
Finally, this is my 2000th post! Time has certainly flown by on this forum!
Just finish building the Lego Assembly Square Modular Build (Middle) and I'm now in the process of taking better pictures. I also plan on do some short animations with Lego.
Let’s do this.
Also, I did make slight mods to the 488 and GTO, but I like all three overall.
