Does anyone have an explanation for this? It’s been in a box in the loft, packed in carrier bags for a couple of years. Yet the azure and some of the white is discoloured.

Judging by the pattern of discoloration, it must have been out in the sun, or exposed to either smoke or some other aerosol, or clearly you have a gamma ray emitter in your loft.

Since none of the others apply a gamma ray emitter must be the culprit.

Are you telling me it's a bad idea to keep a gamma ray emitter in my Lego room?

That is strange.  I wouldn't rule out an aerosol of some sort that may have left a film on exposed surfaces of the pieces.  Clearly, the discoloration isn't uniform.

    Perhaps you have sticky dust?

I keep my gamma ray emitter under my pillow.  I wouldn't mind having the ability to lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster sometimes...

I have decided on the next vehicle I’ll attempt to build once the 288 GTO Evoluzione and maybe a couple other MOCs are done.

That vehicle is the McLaren F1 LM.

I`ve been waiting for this day for some weeks. Its the 50% toy sale in our Swiss supermarkets. Loooooooaaaadddddsssss of Lego included! Almost all of the big sets in the main themes - Police station, Jungle temple, Coast guard, Nexo knights castle, Nexo Knights jestro mobile base, Technic Porsche (!!!), Friends roller coaster, Duplo train, Elves evil castle - the list goes on. As well as lots of smaller sets.

It was torture since I couldn`t afford to get all! How can I leave reduced Lego behind....?! In the end I got the Batman movie ultimate batmobile, Jestros mobile base, Jungle temple (for my son), Duplo Pizza (for the baby/wife), some mighty micro sets, Jays fire mech and the Elves evil castle (x3 for parts). Wow, so after reducing the spending it still amounted to quite a lot!!!!!

Looks like standard UV damage to me.  Remember that UV damage is a catalytic reaction that doesn't require long term exposure (or any exposure to sunlight at all under the right conditions) and, once started, will continue of its own accord.
    Alarming to say the least...

Just went on an 10 second emotional rollercoaster of realizing I will be in Germany for the May the 4th event and planning to go the the Frankfurt store then remembering I will be working all Saturday because that is why I will be in Germany. Sigh.

Yeah see here is the deal, I am actually in charge of the conference so I kind of have to be there. Although in the past Lego has done deals the whole week haven't they? I can't remember if it was EU/UK or US/CA though. If it starts May 1 or 2 I can stop in on the way to the train.

    @stlux yeah much too far.

I appear to have lost what little of the plot I was retaining concerning my Lego hobby.
    ... <snip> ...
(As a side note, I've actually quite enjoyed doing this, I just cannot believe I've spent so much time on building something that as soon as I've finished will be put away until next Christmas)
    :)
@bandit778 Winter Village anything, trains or otherwise aren't just for Christmas, they are for (all of winter) life. :o) That's my excuse when I get around to building my winter sets early next month.

Well, we always get a large snowfall in February so why not? :o)

Plus you can always get them out at the end of July when Christmas starts every year to be extra prepared with your layout :D

So really there's only 4 months of the year when you might need to give 'em a summer makeover. Even then, why not say, well it's winter in Australia, or something? :D

I've been contimplating buying the soon to be discontinued Bat Cave lately.
Its dropped in price quite a bit, and I am a fan of the Adam West era Batman.

Just have to figure out how to justify it with my wife.  (might not be to difficult, she likes Lego too)

They look so nice, just got two orders placed, can't wait for next weekend.
Hope to get a third next month once the new ideas set is on sale.
Got to build up a stash of cool promotions for Secret Santa!

Over here the GWP is only available at the LCS stores, and likely will be gone within the next few days.

Ended up having a very Dino-tastic weekend. Was not well last week so watched all the Jurassic Park films whilst lolling on the sofa, and also Jurassic World which I hadn't seen before. Then reread the Michael Crichton original JP novel, and last night watched The Real T-Rex with Chris Packham that I recorded a few weeks ago.
Now feeling that maybe I want some of the new JW sets that will be out in a couple of months.... Maybe I could do a minidoll/Dino mash up moc??

Did quite a bit of building this last weekend and over the past week. Not posted too much as it's been one of those weeks, but will hopefully be on here a bit more this week. I'll be posting on other threads with my builds... they are rather Batman-centric... :-)

Thanks to my husband I've got 9 out of the 10 LBM2 figs I wanted. Only mermaid Batman remains elusive.

I didn't realise they came on a special baseplate!  Very happy :) especially like Jor-El. Cool printing on his outfit.

@FowlerBricks I have to admit that when I was trying to limit the CMF'S I wanted I'd left him off. However my son was quite adamant he needed to be added. I gave in...

Actually, Mermaid Batman is one of my favorites from the set.  Is it completely unnecessary and illogical? Absolutely.  Does the fantastic bat-fishtail and seashell bra make me giggle every time I see it?  You bet your bottom dollar it does.

I don't think there's any other figure in ANY of the TLBM sets or CMFs that illustrates just the perfect level of how absurd LEGO Batman can be than Mermaid LEGO Batman.

Been too busy working (whether regular job or BL store) to actually play with the stuff. Random goofing around doesn't help

Had more LEGO than usual out in the hallway - felt the need to tell Mom that the pile wasn't getting any larger, I was just rearranging it to get at my bed to change the sheets.

As for the sturdiness of LEGO shelving (sorry @JudgeChuck ) - my problem is space. Sometimes I put models on top of a too tall or otherwise precarious pile of stuff. And as for @SumoLego using himself as a test, Sumo is in his name for a reason. ;)

At the Frankfurt airport. My biggest piece of luggage is a large yellow bag.

Nice!  I want to get my hands on that dinner at some point.
Is that a new VIP set?  Or is that the same Lego store set they released earlier.

@snowhitie I did check out the Apollo documentary For All Mankind because #21309 and #21312 helped keep NASA in mind but I didn't watch and build simultaneously. Gravity is on my watch list, so good idea.
