And as an aside, I respectfully detest having to purchase holiday-themed Brickheadz. Just when I think I'm out...
Sucks they limited it to 5 each per transaction.
I had to add filler.
:shakes fist at Lego:
Thankfully, those exclusive SDCCs killed them off for me!
It was actually the NYCC exclusive that just about did me in. Locking Boba Fett/Carbonite Han in an exclusive like that was a horrible idea. I sprung for the overpriced secondary market buy for it, but if they keep doing super highly desirable sets like that... well, I'll be out sooner rather than later.
it's £168 dead right now.
it come with :-
#60052 (RRP £149.99)
#60050 (RRP !!-Retired Product--!) [it was £49.99 when lego sold it]
#7499 (RRP £15.99)
#7895 (RRP £15.99)
right now Asda have #60052 listed at £97.00 but it out of stock.
Tesco have it listed at £107.99 but it also out of stock.
Smyths have it listed at £129.99 and it in stock.
both #7499 and #7895 are list on Tesco at this time for £13.
list we have #60050 that you can not get for under £70 even on a good day and most of the time you will be paying + £90 or more for it. hell i seen it listed on Amazon at £159.99.
on the best day (unless you spend evey day looking at ASDA webpage 4 time's a day.) you can pick up #60052 for about £110 we call it. but no one has stock at the time so we looking at £130 to come off the £168 and that give us £38. most of the time you will pay from £10 to 13 for both #7499 and #7895 but seeing as it listed up at £13 right now we will call it £13 x2 so that is £26 more to come of that £38 makeing that £12 for #60050.
even paying best price for #60052 #7499 and #7895 (that is when the shop hand stock and i was looking at the page.) [as i have seen #60052 list on asda for under £80 but by the time i know about it, it was out of stock, i never had a hope in hell of geting it]
so that is About £100 for 60052 and about £10 each for both #7499 and #7895 so i be paying £48 for #60050
this is not the best price you cound pay for the 4 set's. but it is not a bad price.
seeing as one set is Retired. and it's price is going Sky high. add's a bit more shine to the over all "is this a good price for this Super Pack."
it was not untill i desided to see what each part would cost me today right now to buy. that i made my mind up to get the super pack.
so i have just placed a Order at Tesco for #66493 costing £168. this well give me the #60050 that i been after for 370 days. i cound not find one at a price i felt ok to pay 370 days ago. so i was starting to think i never get one. it will also give me #60052 that i been looking at for a year. hoping it come on offer when i had the monay to buy it. (at about £100. it did not.) and lot of Track. so i am happy. maybe i will have the track to do a real floor layout now and not just a small LOOP to NOWARE!
man this is a long post. if you still reading this good on you. here is a cookey.
so yes i just placed a order for lego trains. at a ok price....... also john lewis has the same set #66493 at the same price. so if your after one and tesco has run out right john lewis as well.
Found replica stickers online so will ordered one to use, and I'll sub the flowers. Love this set.
Awesome-lookin’ Rhino build! My second Sand Person! My third and fourth Jawas!! :D (sadly I’m not as deep-pocketed as most of my fellow LEGO whackos here on BrickSet)
10 #10700 Green Baseplate $4.42 each. Even if they don't sell, it doesn't hurt to stock up on baseplates at that price.
Some sets aren't a good deal, some I need to crunch the numbers and go back for
I really liked the UCS Sandcrawler. It was a fun build, and the inside is pretty intricate, with a lot of features. One of the better Star Wars ground vehicle sets imo. Have fun building it! (And I'm so sorry about state of your fingers after putting all the tracks together :P)
50% is usually a good parts deal, but 41321 especially so - likely because of parts new to a color. 41590 was a surprisingly good deal for something without minifigures, because of several printed pieces. #41592, the Hulk BrickHead, was mainly plain pieces and wasn't worth it
Not sure what to do with 41322 - maybe gift, perhaps part out if I get more, use sports/music/food pieces/builds
#76060 Dr. Strange half off at Target - was looking for something good for a teenage boy, most of my gift stockpile is for younger kids
@HugeYellowBrick
dam it..... 1 week it only had to stay down 1 more dam week..... sod it.....
My daughters will rejoice, since they got the #41325 for Christmas and they can't stop playing with it.
So we did!
For the Advent Calendar sets, they're going for half price at our local TRU.
Last week, I bought a metal container filled with sets for $30. At the top of the container, I could see some partially built buildings (and the container itself has wheels and is very nice), so I figured I would pay what the woman was asking for the lot. After pulling out partially built items and doing some sleuthing, I know I have complete or incomplete versions of the following:
#41015, #31026, #21105, #21106, #21107, #21102, #41029, #41052, #41094, #41037, #41027, #41090, #41039, #41026, #3315, #41028, #30115, #6743, and #41030. You might also notice in the photo that the complete car and four of the figs from #10232 are also included. There are about 3-4 pounds of loose items off to the side/still in the bin.
Does anyone happen to know what set the white car with blue stripes is from? I have been striking out.
As an aside, it strikes me this single thread spares this wonderful forum from devolving into that quagmire of Lego "normies" that is on Reddit. Box pictures. Box pictures everywhere!
I found out recently that if you place the order for the back ordered set, they will generally include the promo with it. They'll probably ship the promo on its own, and then of course ship the back ordered set when stock comes in.
(The Ferris Wheel is pretty good though, so I don't think you should be too heartbroken :) )
Did some shopping yesterday to get the freebies
