Micro turrets

Hey all,
I'm looking for some simple turret designs that can sit on a 2x2 turntable. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

    Here's a simple quad-laser style turret.

How about the turrets on the #75055 Star Destroyer?

I just went and built it. I can probably make a few more if you need me to.

I don't know what scale you're building at, but here's a few designs. Hope this helps!

    Typical twin laser turret:

    Mortar style turret:

    A smaller twin laser turret:

I assumed you meant castle turrets, and wondered why on earth anyone would a) want to build them at that scale, and b) need to ask how to build what would be a fairly simple construction.

Those three turrets are just ones I threw together real quick. If you need more, just let me know and I'm sure I can whip up some more. :D

Hmm, American thinks of guns, Brit thinks of castles. There's a cultural lesson in there somewhere...

Well, you see, I've had this conversation before. That's why guns were foremost in my mind. When I want a castle turret, I say tower. That's the best way to avoid confusion. ;)

As soon as the word ‘turntable’ was used, I knew what they were after.

Here's the general idea I had, I'm just not sure how to assemble it without making it too bulky. The vertical movement isn't as important but I'd like to keep it if I can. Anyone got any ideas? Here's a drawing of my (very very general) idea and the moc I'm putting it on, it would sit behind the driving facing back.

Oh, okay. I'll see what I can do. :)

Also, I would think that Brits have slightly more access to castles than Americans. Us Americans aren't really that gun crazy...(stops typing and looks out the window at the truck driving by, plastered all over with gun related bumper stickers)...err...never mind.

Well, there's not exactly many castles here in America.

Okay, so I'm not sure how you're going to fit two pilots and a turret on the back of a nine stud long walker, but here's some ideas.

    Turret 01 aka "Twins"

Movement: Limited vertical range. Wide horizontal range.

    Barrels: 2

    Size: Medium

    Turret 02 aka "Fury"

Movement: Large vertical range. Wide horizontal range.

    Barrels: 2

    Size: Large

    Turret 03 aka "Squishy"

Movement: Limited vertical range. Wide horizontal range.

    Barrels: 2

    Size: Small

    Turret 04 aka "The Mutt"

Movement: Zero vertical range. Wide horizontal range.

    Barrels: 2

    Size: Large

Turret 05 aka "Spider" (my personal favorite)

Movement: Large vertical range. Wide horizontal range.

    Barrels: 4

    Size: Extra large

    Turret 06 aka "Peashooter"

Movement: Large vertical range. Wide horizontal range.

    Barrels: 1

    Size: Medium

    Turret 07 aka "Mouse"

Movement: Large vertical range. Wide horizontal range.

    Barrels: 1

    Size: Medium

Maybe I went a little overboard with this, but it was a fun challenge. :) Hopefully some of these ideas can help. I look forward to seeing your finished MOC!
