@ateague it’s mentioned elsewhere on Brickset, I don’t think we know much at all at the moment although I too would love further details.

There was a blurry catalog leak image with a blank image box and 14-15 blurry minifigs in a ribbon across the bottom. So with that many figures it must be a huge set but on the other hand, giant sets like that don't get put in retailer catalogs normally. Looking forward to more info as the Ninjago Movie sets were all well done.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but #60180 Monster Truck looks cool. I can wait until it's discounted, but it stands out to me.

Saw that this was just added to the database. I usually don't care for keychains but a brick separator keychain is brilliant.
With a drill and a keyring you can make your own.

Unless you really need another brick separator.

They are available at the LEGO retail stores.  I think they'd sell better if they were different colors.

Admittedly I don't have a lot of huge sets made since they began including them so liberally, but I'm not tired of getting them yet - it's nice to be able to leave them around the house and know you'll always be able to find one... they're sort of like nail clippers or scissors in that way.

As for the 2018 sets, the pirate rollercoaster looks like a must-have, and I would also like to get the ship-in-a-bottle. The logging tractor also looks great!

So.. I was just going to say there is little on my list next year and saw someone mention pirate rollercoaster. After looking out there... oh flip.

I have several must haves if any of these rumors turn out to be true. We have been waiting for years for any HP sets. Ninjago Docks if it meshes with Ninjago City will be a must have. I will want to see the pirate roller coaster.

As of right now, though, my only must have is the little creator winter/ski set.
Lego has been slowly losing my son's interest. There have been few themes that have been must haves for him, so we will have to see what happens for 2018..

Don't forget the green one from Palace Cinema.

Just saw the #70923 Bat Space Shuttle and now I need that. I’m also going to get #21039 Shanghai, and #75193 and #75194 microfighters at some point. I want the Modular Diner but I’ll wait a while since I will probably get Brick Bank first. The Resistance Bomber and BB-8 will happen when I see good prices.

    My next SW purchases:
X-Wing, Tie Figther, Imperial Speeder Battle Pack, hope the costs are right.
The two Black Panther sets look right to fit in my City.

Are the two sets of microfighters in one box ever going to be sold individually?

Also, does anyone else think the new at-st is complete crap?

I hope they sell none and bring back the OT at-st (nah jk, they'll bring back the OT at-st eventually, it's inevitable)
  • the_creative_boxthe_creative_box Member Posts: 90
Now when I've seen the finished Ship In a Bottle I know that I'm definitely going to buy it. Hopefully it will retail for less than $90 in Sweden.

The FO AT-ST was likely based on early concept art for the movie that said, there was no excuse for Lego to actually include a head to complete the set. The Rogue One AT-ST is as close as it gets to the OT one, what I am hoping for is another OT Tie Bomber.

I've done a whole spreadsheet to keep me from buying over the budget :D

First on my list is of course the Downtown Diner (#10260) and than the Creator Sunshine Surfer Van (#31079) and something I never bought, but I don't know why: the Creator Expert Mini Cooper (#10243). And after those the rumoured D2C Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle, but if it looks bad I have a backup: I will buy then the Assembly Square and the Architecture skylines of London, Shanghai and Las Vegas (if it gets released) to complete my collection. And I guess some CMF so the big sets won't feel so alone :P

Well I bought DJ minifigure at a Toys R Us local store and a Doctor Who Ideas set at $42.94 plus tax, mega score starting the year.

I may end up getting a few of the Infinity War sets this year depending how money is (Outrider Attack and Corvious Glaive Thrasher Attack). I was thinking of The Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown but desisted when I learned that it is not a complete house, it dpes posses hinges but the plates where it is built does not rotate and as such it isn't a City friendly place (may need some modifications).

Yeah, I've been trying to stay away from the Super Heroes sets in general, but the new IW set leaks are going to make that... difficult.  They all look pretty good, and lots of good minifigs with them also.

That is nothing, the two Black Panther sets are a must (well at least the Mine Battle) and not to mention what I have heard of the Jurassic Kingdom leaks description.

Yeah, the new JW/JK sets were always on my list, because I am a sucker for dinosaurs.  I was able to avoid the temptation of the Black Panther sets as they just didn't do a whole lot for me, thankfully :P  If the Mine Battle had had an actual length of rail track to go with it then it might have been a different story, but I was able to crush my desire when it only had the one section of track :D

I was very tempted to get the Talon ship to populate my City (Claw works wonderful in a Star Wars MOC) but for now I will contend with the mine as it can be incorporated into a Savage Land MOC with Imperial control and Black Panther and his guard serving as displaced people while his brother serves as an Imperial appointed ruler to mine for vivranium plus, you could always incorporate the set with a jungle mine MOC.

The Saturn V is a super great set.  In almost any other year except last year, it would have easily been in the running for set of the year.  Luckily the stock of it has increased a lot in the last month, so you should be able to get one for RRP now too, not the jacked up prices it was going for at TRU/Amazon/eBay!

Lots of stock on the rocket wherever I go but the $250.00 price tag is the scary part. Work was nonexistent last year.

Whew, at $250 Canadian, I would consider getting it from a US store, or finding someone in the US to get it for you, and shipping it across the border.  At $120 US and current exchange rate, you're talking about $150 CA, so even if shipping ends up being $40-50 CA, you're going to come out ahead.

As always, all the Marvel sets, including any polybags & event exclusives, will definitely on my list. A part from that, there's a few other bits & pieces we'll probably also get including some of the Minecrafts sets, the Downtown Diner & I know @xiahna is wanting to continue her Elves collection.

i'll get the individual Speed Champions cars, but probably skip the larger sets as the price is usually too high for what you get.

I plan to buy 3 sets in priority:
    Ahch-To Island Training 75200
    Yoda's Hut 75208
    Sandcrawler 75220

Well, I’ve already started pruning my list a bit. Looking at the infinity war leaks, I’m no longer sure I want them all. The 2 biggest ones, probably, but the rest don’t seem iconic enough. Maybe when I’ve seen the film. I do like the Black Panther talon fighter set though, so that’s still on my list (but will get it when it’s a bit cheaper). Apart from that, we’ll have to see. Some OT Star Wars sets are still calling...
  • catwranglercatwrangler Member Posts: 1,894
Well, I've gone off the pirate rollercoaster, and the ship in a bottle is way too expensive, so now it's looking like just being some City sets.
  • chrisalddinchrisalddin Member Posts: 3,041
    that i know 100%
Nexo Knights. but to anyone on here who knows me that's no shock.
    some star wars.
but on the hole. i dont 100% know yet.
there are some small to mid size city set's that i will pick up.

#75181 & #75222 Star Wars UCS sets provided they're of a similar quality to 2017...

#71043 Harry Potter UCS (plus the other smaller sets if they fit well with it!)

    Updated:

Also mark me down for the new CMFs, Old Man Luke, Mace Windu, the new V-Wing, new X-Wing, Cloud City (eventually, if it happens), the new Creator 3 in 1s, new dinosaurs from Jurassic World (if there are any), Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown, and all the new Harry Potter, but not the UCS model because where in God’s green earth would I put a castle?

My kids want a lot of the new Minecraft, but that’s their money and not mine.

Also if Lego could stop coming out with awesome things for a while that’d be cool.

Diner eventually obviously. Although Assembly Square is ahead of it in the queue.

All the Harry Potters - maybe not the Fantastic Beasts.

    And the Batman Space Shuttle.

And probably whatever the new exciting Technic car turns out to be.

After scoring 10197 for $80 last weekend, I'm itching to complete my modular collection.  I may forego much of my "wish list" and focus on tracking down CC, MS, GG, and TH.

Failing that, my list is TLBM wave 3, Sunshine Surfer Van, The Battle at Sanctum Santorum (to modularize), (rumored) Ninjago City Docks, and a few misc little ones to flavor the street scene.

    I think I might buy #76098 tonight.

I've wanted to get a flash character for a while now.  And to get 2 speedsters in a single set is very tempting.

    So far:

    Downtown Diner

    Creator Rollercoaster

    Ninjago City Docks

All the Harry Potter sets (not Fantastic Beasts ones)

    This year's Winter Village addition

*maybe* all four anniversary creator sets
