    Is it just me or is there a distinct lack of good sales on Amazon this season? Last year I remember snagging a bunch of juicy stuff at 45% off or so. This year everything on my want list is stuck permanently at 20% (if discounted at all). Was last year weird? or this year? Do you think there will be more discounts before Christmas?

    Yeah there really hasn't been that much going
    On apart from super hero girls and constraction Star Wars. I'm really surprised stuff like the Nexo Knights castle isn't even on sale a smidge.

    Strongly agree. Last year there were a ton of awesome Lego deals everywhere. This year has been a bit of a bust, although I did still end up with PC for a great price on Amazon and finally a discounted price on the Parisian. That is about it, though.

    Other than Dimensions there have not really been many sales anywhere on LEGO this holiday season. I wonder if this means that the price of LEGO for the retailers is higher so they cannot really bring them down to more than 20% off?

    ^ If you have access to Barnes & Noble, check out the deals there (especially if you’re a member). Also, TRU has had some pretty good prices this season. 
    I agree that Amazon, Walmart and Target seem to have tired of trying to out-do each other. A suspicious person might suspect price fixing.

    LEGO batman #70908 Scuttler is 54 dollars (32% off) right now if you missed the previous sales for 42 and the clearance sales of 35 it is not a horrible price if you need the set (could go down in price more).

    Ugh.  I was able to order one at $45, but Amazon would not automatically cancel my order at $64.00, so I canceled the $45 order.  It was gift card money, but still...

    Update: And, it's gone.  #70916 is currently only available through 3rd party sellers.

    I feel like the Batwing set would've been a much better seller if they had stuffed another oddball villain or two in. Only three minifigs and even Harley is only slightly different than her other appearances.

    For my #70916 order, I was able to get a refund adjustment for the price difference ($19, $64 vs $45) after sending a polite message to Amazon CS.

    Either I got lucky, or Amazon still does price matching under specific situations (like, when the order is still in the warehouse and cannot be canceled).  So, if a similar situation happens to you, I'd definitely give a refund request a try.

    I keep missing the Batwing sale. I'll check every couple of hours for days, then the one day I'm busy and forget, bam, there it is again. Arg.

    I think Amazon did a better job managing stock this year. Quite a few Star Wars sets were out of stock immediately after Christmas and have continued to float in and out of stock. No incentive to really discount. That said U-Wing is 30% off (and well worth it IMO).

    I do wonder if it truly was their management. If something is available to stock, then production must have been higher or demand didn't meet expectations.

    You might have missed your chance.  Walmart had some serious clearance deals on it a week or two ago, and Barnes and Nobel had 30+% off before Christmas.  Looks like it's back up to full RRP everywhere now though :(

    I haven't seen any of those prices near me.  Unfortunately all the Wal-Marts are out in the suburbs and I don't have much chance to get there.
