I tried to explain this was not Thomas, but they weren't having any of it.
My attempts at a SC McLaren Senna and a SC Ferrari 250 GT Califonia Spyder.
According, to Brickseek I picked up one of the last local #70618 Destiny Bounty a few nights ago at a price of $124. Yesterday @pharmjod informed me that Brickseek had that Walmart dropping the price to $79. So I took it back to Walmart and had the price adjusted saving me $47.50!
I then decided to go to the Bargain Hunt (local discount store) across the street from Walmart to see if they had anything. I stumbled across a battered (to put it lightly) #21310 Fishing Store for $100. I took it to the front register and had them open it to confirm the contents. The majority looked good but one bag had broken open and there were loose pieces rolling around in the box, so I convinced the manager to give me an additional 20%. This gave me the Fishing Store for $80!
Destiny Bounty for $79 and Fishing Store for $80- haven't had that lucky of a LEGO day for awhile!
Today’s status is a somber one. This poor minifigure who is the proud owner of a Lykan Hypersport is coming to terms with the fact he no longer has the most expensive road car in Imaginary Lego City.
My photo editing style is aggressive about cropping out background; that's related to a smaller image file
#10862 My First Celebration goes with #10850 My First Cakes from last year
I might eventually get #41188 and maybe some of the smaller Elves sets for my castle collection like I did with #41180.
I still like the idea and price point of building bigger thinking. #10404 also fits with classic castle. Nexo still doesn't
#10714 is just a blue 32x32 baseplate, a simple but good idea.
As a reward I'm going to build something after lying down :)
Me, my BrickLink order arrived over lunch, so I was able to finish my lineup of LEGO Cadillacs :)
The white one now have the shorter mudguards. I wanted to have a tan interior on the red model, but I didn't have enough tan jumper plates, so white interior it is. At least it gives a nice opposite number to the white car with red interior. And I didn't like the idea of the black car having a white interior so I could use the tan on the red car.
but good on you for the try at keeping tidey!
Finally satisfied with this 250 GT California Spyder.
I have the same issue. Lego everywhere and always being forced to defrag my shelf-space...lol.
https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-11989/InyongBricks/10214-tower-bridge-alternative-build/#bi
One set doesn't do it justice, thinking of getting another Tower Bridge to make a mirror of it, will be more grand with 2 sets side-by-side.
Dr Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme's Sanctum Sanctorum
Tried out the white SC wheels on my Type R MOC, since the real Type R had white wheels.
Now this is more like it.
Some cleaning, a trip to IKEA and husband and son made the table. This is now in the middle of our living room:
Really happy. The table can be made bigger too but that's not for everyday use since then the living room will get a bit cramped. But for special occasions ;)
Regrettably I've got to go to my parents for lunch but at least I'll have something to look forward to when we come back!
Thank God for supportive spouses.
Also finished off the Creator Beetle as well, nice fun build and despite it looking like a Renault 4CV in all the adverts, it actually looks nice and Beetle like in the finished bricks. We built ours with a German number plate and its now parked on the top shelf with the Splitscreen camper.
I don't know what she's talking about.
(BUY IT ALL, YOU'LL REGRET IT IF YOU DON'T. I HEAR IT'S CLEARANCE SEASON AND WALMART HAS SOME GREAT DEALS IF YOU HURRY!)
We don't enable anything, we just like to discuss LEGO here! <.<
Built #41307 Olivia's creative lab and #3315 Olivia's House with my daughter (almost done) ... Clearly an older-school Friends set compared to, say, #41095 Emma's House, still a fun build. Also no bedroom for the parents. :P Now as I'd upgraded Emma's House to Emma's Mansion, she clearly assumes I will be doing the same for Olivia.... :O
"It's so FLUFFY!"
Thank you @Pitfall69.
Lamborghini Miura has now joined my vroom collection. Credit for this build goes to: https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/sets/72157685626654256
He posted a couple of breakdown shots of the build, which helped immensely. I did do a few things differently, though.
That's pretty good considering how unfriendly the Miura's curves are to small scale LEGO builds.
6358 Snorkel Squad https://brickset.com/sets/6358-1/Snorkel-Squad from 1987 used them and the ideas book from the same year had an airport crash truck design that used them.
(Nobody wants to know how the sausage gets made, just enjoy the meal.)
