My Target here on Long Island gave out the Target Exclusive $5 Millenuim Falcon mini model on the 4x4 LEGO Star Wars branded plate. I passed on buying it so many times because all that set really is to me is that LEGO SW plate.

    Gotta love Target!

Which LI Target do you prefer? I’m from Queens but do all my shopping on the Island, usually hitting up the Target right on 454 in Commack. Their shelves were pretty much cleared out of Lego.

Bought the Rey/Kylo Brickheads last night.  The must have just gotten them in within the past few days as I had checked a few days ago for inventory.

Jesus...was what I said when I saw this:

Also, my Target app was scanning some Brickheadz at $6.97...and then the 10% cartwheel could be used on it.

problem: the app scanned price doesn’t match In-Store scanners (shocking!).

solution: buy via app, cartwheel applies, red card applies...pick up in an hour or so.

Wait - can you use cartwheel when you buy online now?!

No. In store only. My oversight.

I guess it won’t work unless you price matched at CS and scanned the cartwheel...?

Just curious, did you try purchasing the Brickheadz at the register? Several times I have scanned something (not LEGO specific) at an in-store scanner which then actually rang up at a lower price. That might have been the case here.

    I did.
i scanned with the app, which showed a lower price.
assumed that was the in store price, and when I got to the register, a different RRP showed up.
thus I think the app price was NOT the In-Store price even though it recognized me shopping in that store.

Post XMas clearance. Various SW, LBM, SH sets and polybag are 30-50% off. YMMV.

Found #30380 at the checkouts in one store. Sadly no sign of the pug polybag. Also had a few of the new SW sets out & a couple of the new mighty micros. I wound up with #75194 & #75197 which was as much as I could stomach paying full price for even with gifted money.

It depends on the store. There was one store around me with stock at $15 already with the others at $21 or out of stock.

Saw a ton of 40-50% off yellow clearance stickers at my Target tonight.  Mainly Lego Batman Movie, previous waves of all the superhero stuff, Nexo Knights and some City and Creator sets.  Didn't see much if any Star Wars stuff on clearance.  Great deals for sure!
  • scotty12scotty12 Member Posts: 831
^ There's tons of stuff at Target....exactly as you stated...including Friends, Elves....but my local Target was only 30% at best.   Kylo Ren Shuttle was $83.xx still way, way too much.  Only deal I thought about at 50% was the SH Doctor Strange set for $14.98 and Batman Movie Clayface and some Brickheadz.....some of the Brickheads like Batman, Hulk Captain. America, Iron Man were $6.98? and Jack Sparrow,Black Widow and Bat Girl were $4.98.  But I normally wait for 50% off or more before buying.

At Edina today I grabbed a couple #30402 at 30% off. Saw a lot of the same sets mentioned above (Except Dr Strange) at 30% or 50% off, as well as some DC SH Girls and Elves but nothing I wanted or didn’t already have. They did have a bunch of #75104 Kylo shuttles at $84 if you want SW stuff.

It's a really great set, and I'm kind of surprised that there didn't appear to be very much demand for it.

And like WM shelves half empty

The Scuttler was the only item that made me think about buying, but in the end i didnt.

For the most part, these clearance prices place the sets around what my mind tells me they should cost in the first place.  I know it's lego, but the cost always jumps out at me more then the "value" of owning the set.

Would've been cool if the Scuttler could be converted into another vehicle or something. I think it was the bat wing before it was shot down if I remember right.

This. Since LEGO is good but expensive I need deals. Saw nothing I wanted personally, but a few deals that I'll consider for parts.

Target has a sale + Cartwheel deal on plastic storage and now they have some neon orange lids, will get at least enough to color code my inventory, which I've used blue and green lids for before

I did. I keep forgetting how these companies strangely clearance items but then restock them at regular price only to clearance them again later.

Yeah, I saw the Doc Strange sets at a Target for 20 bucks, but just could not buy them.
Ive seen that a lot lately as well, just not 'clearance' enough for me. Difference with the Batman Movie sets is that I wanted them, so getting them at any discount was nice (especially the Ultimate Batmobile for 70 which is worth it just for the parts and the figures IMO).
The only problem is that in my area, to many people jump on 20-30% off deals instead of seeing if they will get to 40-50% off.

If I want the set myself, or want it for a gift, 20%-30% is enough, but I usually need 40+ percent off for part out
#10845 My First Carousel $17.48 (30%) - could use another holiday gift for one of my toddler cousins
    3 #41231 Harley Quinn to the Rescue $14.98 (50%)
    4 #70324 Merlok's Library 2.0 $12.48 (50%)
    2 #41184 Aira's Airship & The Amulet Chase $19.98 (50%)

Saw several new 2018 sets in the Bloomington store today. There were also quite a few empty areas left, too. No more clearance deals.

I noticed that tonight also....most of the Friends/Elves/Super Hero Girls were discounted to 50-70%off.  #41232 Super Hero High was done to $23.98 and the Harley Quinn set was down to $8.98.
The only SW set I noticed getting a price drop was the Battle of Tanakoa? at $29.98.  Kylo Ren Shuttle stayed at $83.

Not a Friends set fan, but couldn't pass up 50% off on buy a couple #41129 Amusement Park Hot Dog Van.  I really liked them when first introduced, but was never on my radar until I saw them on sale.

So how many $7.48 #41129 does one need?

    17 is the correct answer
  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
^ That's 51 sausages, but 34 buns. They never seem to package them so they match.

  • elspankdogelspankdog Member Posts: 403
It's actually worse since one of the extra pieces is a sausage...68 sausages to 34 buns.

But you do also get 17 body sized buns

That is interesting.  I also found each of these in their own box at one Target yesterday.  Didn't know they were going to be sold separately.  Also saw one of the two at TRU.

At same Target they had a couple of three of the new Justice League brickheadz on the shelf too.
  • MegtheCatMegtheCat Member Posts: 500
I have checked 3 different Target stores & found new sets in only one of them so far. A couple of the Justice League Brickheadz, Mighty Micros, LBM & SW. And they even had some of the new wave of Nexo Knights (alongside at least a dozen of Merlok's Library on clearance).
  • CrownieCrownie Member Posts: 228
And yet, even at $29.98 I couldn't bring myself to pick up #70915 Two-Face Double Demolition. I can't really 'work' a Front-loader into my vision of Gotham City, and this particular version of Two-Face isn't doing it for me. Love Billy Dee, just not the whole 'melted head' thing.
