Picked up a full set today and a lovely set it is.
Joker really stands out as an amazing figure.

Dr phosphorous doesn’t glow in the dark (was I wrong to assume he would?).

The trouble is that now I must buy all the 2018 sets (or at least the figures from them).

Same as the one from Fun at the Beach, though, right?
  • LuLegoLuLego UKMember Posts: 1,010
Think so. I don’t have Fun at the Beach so can’t be 100% certain but looks like it on BrickLink.

My local LEGO store told me that they have a CMF set releasing January 1st per head office planning, but it will be the 2nd since the 1st is a Holiday (mall is actually closed!).

The manager couldn't say what the CMF set was, but it has to be Batman, yeah?

Do we know the price (UK) for the new TLBM sets? Thanks...
  • LuLegoLuLego UKMember Posts: 1,010
More than you’d want to pay!

I watched Jangbricks last night and I want all of the new sets. They look amazing.
  • ateagueateague EnglandMember Posts: 171
Will have to check them out on there. Needless to say I will buy them all though. Hopefully at 30-40% off though
  • LuLegoLuLego UKMember Posts: 1,010
Jang does great reviews of all of the new sets (although couldn’t see space shuttle) and they look strong. Worth watching.

Agreed about waiting for a decent discount though. Unless there is a surprise TLBM related GWP that’s a minifigure on [email protected], I’ll be waiting.

We would know if there were any more polybags by now, wouldn’t we?????

Found what looked like two full boxes in Toys R Us. Didn't get any though, since the Ninjago movie ones were two-for-five.

Got some at my local LEGO store. Stopped at my local TRU store and they had zip. Nada... well, like 5 boxes of Series 1 ;-)

Picked up a few from my local LEGO Store today to get the free dragster. Now just have to wait for my set from Minifiguresplus to be delivered. Might pick up 1 or 2 more on Friday when I go see what the burger of the month is at Kuma's Too.

Snapped up all I wanted plus a few wishlisted from family at the LEGO Store in Sherway Gardens, Toronto.

They had 1 searched but full box out. I found everything I was interested in, although I did give Fangirl Batgirl to another collector who only wanted her. Was confident I'd find another. Didn't, but an employee cracked a fresh case for me to dig in - hurray, toy karma!

Black Canary may be my favourite of the line just because I've been waiting for her. I was sure we'd see a 2017 or 18 Legends of Tomorrow-esque spaceship with comic versions of Canary, Atom, Firestorm, and co. We did get Firestorm so far, though...

Anyway, she's brilliant with the screaming alternate face and microphone. Very photogenic.

Happy to get Killing Joke Joker in a fashion, Had to get every Super Friend, and Zan and Jayna are close runner ups for best of the line. Harley is adorable, and while I didn't get the similar themed Alfred, I think I want his tailcoat piece for Harley.

Skipped on most of the villains besides Killer Moth and Hugo Strange (Honestly in this more for the Comic Collection than the Movie), but over the winter I may grab the rest and end up with a near complete set. I say near because Mer-Batman just doesn't do a thing for me.

I'm getting good at blind bags. This was the quickest and most authoritative feel session I've ever had.

Are these like the last few where one row has a full set of 20?

Chapters/Indigo in Canada. B&N in the States according to my brother.

Managed to pick up all 20 from eBay, for me they are the best CMF set I own. Amazing set of minifigs for a DC fan.

That was not my experience in feeling out the fresh case. They were in blocks down the row like Two Canary, Three Harley, Two Alfred, One Fangirl.

Not exactly that, but you get it.

^ Thanks, that's still better than random.

If it helps, these figures are generally the super easiest to feel and double check. Dr. Phosphorous and Black Lightning have similar accessories, so just feel for the helmet.

It should be a quick sort when you find a case. Good hunting!

I too bought a full set from eBay, and at a very good price considering.  A great group of minifigs.

Just picked up Jor-El, General Zod and Professor Hugo Strange in Sainsbury's in Cambridge. Really, really easy to identify them. I also got Swimming Pool Batman for my little boy (he loves sea creatures).

I'm a fan of getting complete sets, because I am horrible at sitting around feeling out the bags.  (I have neither the patience nor the dexterity...) MinifiguresPlus is a pretty great source for not a lot more than the base value for sure.  I just wish there were more sources that were selling full collections of the older series (like series 10 and before) because it's pretty hard to find them all in one go, and I'd rather do that than get them all piecemeal from a bunch of different places.

I felt the entire series in the Cardiff Lego store on Tuesday. Really proud of myself as I’m getting better and better at feeling them with each new release - only took me about 20 mins!

As for the figures themselves, they’re all really impressive and a very strong collection. My favourites are Clock King, Dr Phosphorus and Black Vulcan, and if I had to choose a least favourite it’d be Vacation Batgirl, but she’s by no means a bad figure.

    Roll on next series!

Who knows how many new figures are in the 2018 sets? Just trying to work out how many different TLBM minifigures there are in total now.
Database has got the 2018 sets but doesn’t yet list the minifigs for them separately and I’d like to know which are unique from 2018 (although it could well be me failing to find them on database).

    100 from series 1 + 2017 sets
    20 from series 2
    1 x kiss kiss
    1 x Excalibur dimensions
    ? from the 2018 sets

Someone on here must know the total now...

I think I own 93 of these so far so gotta keep going!

Like grabbing it by the fin? If so, it doesn’t fit because of the back of the display. I might move these to a couple of frames later this year... For me, these display cases work best for BrickHeadz.

Quickly quickly someone tell me which are the most sought after so I can scalp the sh*t out of this pile.

Jk. Passed on wasp guy, yellow lightning dude and Zod. Would've passed on the twins too had I not randomly picked one of them when I wanted a surprise. Got doubles of some with interesting faces like lab dude,  glowy green skeleton and clock face.

The neatly arranged ones are the pile I went through. Those things on the floor are the ones left by savages!
