    I came out of my dark age around June 2016 and I’m already up to 395 sets (plus the #75192 I just ordered today). But hardly any are CMFs, so my parts collection rank is 3195. I also have a lot of parts bought secondhand that aren’t included in that total.

    @Edde  That is a fun fact for me at least.  I have thought of doing that kind of collection finding one single set per year and purchasing it.  But every time I do take a look on Bricklink one or another thing makes me undecided so thus have never started.

    According to Brickset 131 sets, and 82k pieces. I probably have 20k spare/loose pieces.

    According to the collection analysis on the main site, I own 825 sets of 659 individual set numbers, putting me at rank 2964!.

    Brickset only has part counts for 607 of those (52 are missing) - this translates as 102858 pieces, and my parts collection is rank 9961. You could probably add another 20-30,000 pieces easily that aren't included in this total.

    713 sets good for 3648 and 179,300 pieces for a rank of 3948 not bad slowed up a lot this year on purchases but still steadily gaining my new goal is to have my piece count ranked higher than my set count

    721 sets with 543 different for a rank of 4363. 259245 total piece count for a rank of 1917, mostly my goal was to break that 2000 rank. Total minifigures count is 1872 with 1243 different for a rank of 2593. Got out of my dark age in late 2013.

    360 sets (9643rd rank) although some of that is my Sister's Friends/Belville collection, and I also haven't bought a single set for nearly two years due to lack of space.

    925 different sets with piece counts for 865 of them. total=251,658 That does not include the 400+lbs of bulk Lego bricks. This started out as my collection, (I am 46), and was turned over to my son several years ago. He is now 14. I wonder how big it will be when he turns it over to his children? 
     We were so very excited about getting to go to the inside tour next year, but due to family issues we are going to be missing it.

    I have approximately 2577 Minifigs with 1771 Different.  I'm ranked 1331st. 

    I have about 1167 Sets.  Piece count about 25,6573. 

    I'm ranked 833rd for sets.

    According to brickset, I have 147 items. There are piece counts for 127 of those, totaling 47,796 pieces. 511 minifigures. I also have some loose parts from PaB/random lots, so probably more like ~55k total. 

    That is more than I had thought- I was thinking more like 30-35k pieces.. haha :)

    Christmas went well for me this year.  My In-laws went on a Lego spree and bought me several sets.  I actually think I received more sets than my kids did this year. 

    I received 8 sets.

    21302 - Big Bang Theory
    70612 - Ninjago Green Dragon Mech
    76201 - Milano Spaceship Rescue
    75182 - Republic Fighter Tank
    75175 - A-Wing Starfighter
    75172 - Y-Wing Starfighter
    75149 - Resistance X-Wing Fighter
    And a Mini Millennium Falcon Promotional Polybag.

    Overall I think its a good hall.  Now I just have to fine a place to display everything.

    As of this moment (the numbers rapidly grow), I have 829 sets, 1121 minifigures, and 102,227 pieces - all for a combined value of $12,564. Ranked 1885th on Brickset.

    I've been buying / selling / trading quite a few sets over Christmas and apparently just hit the 4,000 sets mark according to what is on the ticker on the homepage - although it may go up or down a little from there as I catch up on the database.

    That has got me just past the 10,000 minifigs point too at almost exactly 2.5 minifigures per set - I'd still long to assemble an army at some point although sadly they are becoming less and less well organised so it would be impossible to verify that number.

    Question on using Brickset - when I hit the "find out more" link on my ranking of number of sets, it shows 10 people before and 10 after my ranking, Is there a way to see the entire list?  I would love to see what the top people have for set numbers

    My parts collection is shown on here as being about 173,000, ranking at 4310th.

    However, I mainly buy loose bricks rather than sets, and at a rough estimate I have somewhere between 400k - 500k bricks in total.

    As a general rule though, you'll probably have more than you think you do - hence the large range of my estimate. I'm fairly certain the minimum I have is 400k.

    One thing I'm puzzled by.  My stats show that I own 406 sets.  Now I only came out of my dark ages at the end of 2012, so everything I own is pretty new.  And yet in the 'Sets owned' section, it says that 'We have piece counts for 296 of your sets'.

    I'm surprised that data like that is missing for recent or current sets.  @Huw : Do we / Brickset rely on members sitting there and counting pieces, or does Lego not supply that?  I know that in some territories the box states a piece count but we don't get that info in the UK (I've often wondered why?).

    Might have to start filling in the gaps...

    @BooTheMightyHamster the piece count comes from LEGO replacement inventory. If its not on LEGO servers it doesn't make it to Brickset. I am surprised if most of your sets are from 2012 there's no inventory for them.

    Looking through my collection I know some of the items that do not have piece counts listed on Brickset are 
    - books without figures
    - video games
    - key chains
    - magnet sets
    - unopened Collectible Minfigure blind bags

    Do you have duplicate sets? For example, my stats say I own 409 sets, 295 different, and that brickset has piece counts for 292. To me, that says there are only 3 with missing piece counts.

    We currently own 1189 sets (900 different) & our collection is currently ranked 1519th. Brickset has piece counts for 867 of oursets, so Brickset calculates that we own 180621 pieces & our parts collection is currently ranked 4030th.

    According to Rebrickable, we have 203,810 parts in total with 17,616 in loose parts, but even that wouldn't be completely accurate, I still have a big bag of bricks I was given in December I have to clean & sort that's about 14kg in loose bricks & elements.

    Hmmm, after seeing those last two screen grabs, it seems that getting into the top 1,000 ranks isn't as improbable I had been thinking it was....damn. On a completely unrelated note, I decided this year to be happier & more supportive person, I know many of us here are a lot happier when buying Lego, so I suggest that if you see sets that you're thinking "I wouldn't mind having that," I say go for it. :D

    Thank you guys for posting these.  Just when I feel like my collection is getting big because I'm less than 75 sets from 500, I see this pictures and get a little cut down to size.  So many more sets to collect! Mwahahaha!

    Here’s another stat that might be interesting. What’s your average pieces per set? I’ve noticed my parts collection rank is way higher than my sets collection rank. Based on the pieces brickset says I have and the number of my sets for which it has piece counts, my average pieces per set is 714.

    Yeah, I'm constantly surprised at the low piece counts a lot of people have compared to mine.  427 sets, which isn't a ton, but 182k or so pieces.  My piece ranking is about 1/2 of my sets listing.  I didn't think it gave me a particularly high average piece per set count, considering I have quite a few CMFs and poly bags and small sets and such, but the brickset rankings seem to show differently.

    I love this thread. I always come here when I need to feel better about my lack of self control.

    According to Brickset I have 101 sets, 90416 pieces, 425 minifigs. I've only got a miniscule amount of sets compared to some here and I'm already bursting out of my 2 bedroom apartment. Where do you guys keep it all?!?

    Same. I figure it's because I only really collect big ticket items, modulars, creator expert, UCS MF, etc. Also explains the rather high retail value of $13,000 (AUD) for only 101 sets. I don't collect CMF's so all my figs are from sets. There's a few city vehicles and smaller Star Wars stuff but it's mostly big stuff.

    No surprises to me.

    Those that collect mostly Minifigures or small sets will have low piece count ratio compared to those that bought mostly big sets.

    And those that bought mostly big sets will have much lesser set count compared to those that bought small sets. 

    The interesting question is if a person collects just Minifigures will the ratio be 1:1?

    I have a rather small piece count per number of items I own.  This is due to me accounting for each CMF I own, which is all (plus multiples) - except Mr. Gold - and many polybags.  An example of how one poly bag can drive down piece count average and also retail value owned is set #2853590.  I own 82 (sealed), which is only 5 pieces and retail is $2.99 per item.  I'd rather own 82 sets of 5 pieces (410 total pieces) than a single item of around 410 pieces.......and then account for true market value vice retail value for all 82 sets.  Numbers just don't tell the whole story.

    I know I have a problem. My part count is way off as don't keep track of bricklink, and incomplete sets given to me by family members who outgrow LEGO. Also closing in on 7000 Minifigures. I'm at 6917 Minifigures right now.
