This was a pretty satisfying build for my first Technic build. The steering mechanism is poorly designed though. And there are a couple of things I wonder what it is for, or why they did it that way.
Sigh seller canceled on me and said wrong price was listed. Only wish my 6 year old daughter wouldn' have been excited when I told her because she wanted it for her birthday. Why life, why?

Also found Dimensions Unikitty, Emmet, and Bart for $3 each at local Walmart.
On the plus side, I did get Most of the helicopter, Spidey & Beetle from the Daily Bugle set, Luke from #9493 (I could tell it was that owing to two part wings from the X-wing). Riddler & Catwoman made an appearance as well as a couple of Snowtroopers & some as yet unidentified. There was also stuff from a Ninjago shrine set.
Now, if only the person who bought the other two bags is on here & we can sort out completing sets between us :-)
The ones that really drive me nuts are when I come up a few pieces short, and then find a bag 3 months later with the missing parts in the same store. One of the bags I got last weekend contained parts I was missing for four different sets.
In other news - I got a 8297 Technic set, in unopened box, for $100. That's a 2008 set that originally sold for $120 retail - so I think I did OK.
It's pretty rare to get great discounts in generic toy stores or department stores in Australia, and, due to our distance from other markets and our relatively miniscule population, RRP for LEGO here is quite high. Some department stores occasionally knock off 10-15% and the really generous ones will sometimes stretch to 20%.
I'd managed to collect all the latest city coastguard sets except for the largest #60167. At $159AUD I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about it but my OCD demanded that I complete the collection. So it was with some surprise that I wandered into the toy department of my local Big W to find that particular set listed as having an RRP of $149, marked down to $109. Better still, it was one of the selected sets they had earmarked for 33% off (the incorrect) retail, making it $99. I took it to the counter and was then asked for $87.40. It took me a while to work it out but I'm pretty sure the sales assistant was applying the (at the time) storewide discount of 20% off the marked down price of $109.
I decided not to correct her. :)
Total discount of approximately 45% off Oz retail. Pretty stoked.
LEGO Education Three Seat Playtable, Solid Hardwood 6099591
I am so jealous. Missed the online sale, and ended up buying it for 160 on BL before it starts skyrocketing ;_;
$26 for everything pictured (except yellow and red base plates). There are four or five pilot minifigs in the aircrafts, one the police station, plus the four plainly visible.
Oh, plus the fully built police dog van from 4441, that I forgot to put in above photo and a prisoner minifig, in the back of one of the vehicles that you can't see.

The middle blue one on the right with "Air Taxi" printed on it is from #3222.
Edit: the boxes available all were beaten up, but I don't mind it.
OK - that's helpful. Those two are ones I was talking about.
Plus the one in the far lower left, and the uppermost one on the yellow plate.
That little building is some kind of Sheriff's shack. Looks like he is tracking some kind of outdoor criminal based on the markings inside. No idea what the thing in the upper right is from.
Also, I put the engine in the lower right of the red plate on the HD helicopter. Now it needs one more engine (:
Update: Looking at set 4440, it looks like some of the large "chunks" I have may be from that set. Yeah...seems like it. I have the assembled roof over the jail cells, and the center section with the police sign part of the roof (no radar tower though), with the windows. No whole left side, gate, baseplates, tree, bear, ATV, etc.
I think I did pretty decently on this buy (:
If you get all the pieces together to rebuild 4440, it fits nicely over a road baseplate.
Kid will have to dedicate half of it to a police heliport though (:
Box front and backs for #462, #6901, and #6870.
They weren't mentioned in the listing or in any of its photos.
That's an awesome price for a really nice set. Great find!
