Someday I'll learn...
Now I'm tempted to get Saturn V, though I probably shouldn't.
It's not available elsewhere under MSRP, so buying from S@H is relatively more attractive.
@BillyBricks84
Now I`m` considering the Fishing house even though I really shouldn`t.
I am interested in space exploration, and Saturn V would go well with Women of NASA (which I got elsewhere)
Thanks @rd1899 for the clarification on where the set can be obtained.
Lots of other sales too. Insult on Hoth at $174 if that gets anyone to bite on that atrocity.
Overall, I've been impressed with the sales at the Lego stores lately. They are getting me out to the stores more often and off of the too often fruitless hunts at Walmarts or Targets. That coupled with VIP points and the promos have me spending almost all of my Lego budget at the stores or Lego shop online.
Now I'm just imagining the crushed London bus box while the viper and key chain imprints being all over the box of ninjago city.
I dunno, personally I feel like the Batcave was in a different space than the mansion is. The classic part of it made it less likely to appeal to younger people, and the set itself wasn't a great play set (eg the poor design of the fireman's poles into the basement), so I felt like the demand was kind of cut. Both of those issues aren't present with Joker Mansion, and it includes some pieces that will probably be in pretty high demand just for themselves (the FaF Minifigs and roller coaster parts). I mean, sure it will probably go on sale, but I feel like it's unlikely to go on an extended firesale like obviously low demand large sets like Classic Batcave and Assault on Hoth.
I knew darn well I was going to spend more than $10 for gingerbread man; I wasn't expecting $150, but I could get 2 buses
2 Women of NASA (have 1 in mind for a gift, promos helped make decision to buy extras)
3 What am I @ $19.97 and 2 wedding set @ $4.99 , no more in back, maybe that's it for those. Someone else asked about What am I, I would have passed on 1 if I saw enoguh else to cut form my purchase to get down near $75
PAB wall hadn't changed much, $5 baseplate rings up at full price on refill, hadn't noticed til I checked out, got a damaged box bus out of it
#41233 Lashina Tank $10.49 (best way to top $150)
@megthecat retailer exclusives seem to be also available direct from TLG. #70910 Scarecrow Special Delivery was a WalMart exclusive but I got mine from S@H.
the talk about snowglobe reminds me of debating whether to trade a promo or keep it for myself. had thought of putting #40221 Fountain in my park scene, also the debate whether to buy a regular set on sale or wait for a bigger sale
Typically when I bring in a cup I still get the base plate for 4.99, they either just make an exception or sometimes they forget to mark the cup as a refill. Getting a promo bus out of it, as well as getting two promos for spending 150, well I will I could go to the store you do. Promos typically are one per customer/ purchase. The store by me stopped giving out multiples a long time ago.
Hopefully that's the last money I spend on LEGO this year (already said that a couple times), but 2x VIP and 2 substantial promo sets is as good a deal as I'm going to get
@josekalel
I was also thinking of something to go with Women of NASA. 31066 is the kind of set I'd usually get on sale elsewhere, but the promos are so good right now. I thought about a BrickHeadz but decided I still don't like the bulky head.
I ordered the Saturn V and they shipped it sealed inside its original shipping box and placed that in a much larger box with air bubbles along with the promo items and the bag I purchased to put me over the $125 promo threshold. I'm sure the Saturn's shipping box helped prevent dents from the Ninjago keychain but even the thin London bus box was unscathed. If I'm being ultra picky, one corner of the Saturn V box did have a slight dent in it but it's certainly nothing to complain about, given my past experiences.
I also told myself that I wasn't gonna spend any more money on LEGO...but then I saw #70917 Ultimate Batmobile on sale at Walmart and that was that...
I just received my Saturn V today, shipped in a second box as well. However none of my promo items or additional purchases were included. Curious why they shipped yours all together and mine separately. (Assuming mine was shipped separately and not just forgotten.) All I ordered were 2 CMF bags to get over the $125 threshold.
