Once I completed Black Ops Exo-Suit, I finished the line-up with a white one. Now all the Classic Space minifigs have their own Exo-Suit to dance around in :-)
Which one is your favourite? And what's a good collective noun for a load of Exo-Suits?!
Also, does anyone think it'll retire tomorrow or do you think they'll keep it until the end of the year?
@tallblocktoo - it's been fun collecting them, but I've been too slow with the idea and with building them, which frustrated me a little. But they look amazing together. I'm going to photograph each one on its own today.
And this morning's status: I've missed out on the #75176 @ 50% off because I already bought 2 at 40% off earlier in the week. Ooops. And S@H is completely messed up, removing my nutcracker and adding a £3.95 postage charge. And that happened *after* I clicked Submit.
I'm sure they'll sort it out behind the scenes like they've promised. But it was a trick just getting the site to accept the order in the first place.
Or maybe that should be "borrowed", with the way they tried to hide it between towers of Lego boxes?
I was able to get an order at S@H with the Palace Cinema and a few other smaller holiday sets (I wish I had money to get The Simpsons sets...let's hope they aren't gone this upcoming year) as well as two #10704 at Walmart.
Still waiting for something good from Amazon so that I can keep my collection growing...glad to be back!
Several people: (variants of) "Wow, you're doing a lot of building"
Yeah, of my BrickLink parts inventory
@madejp86 When traveling, I'd try to do something unique to the destination rather than something I also have at home. Is there something different about that store? A Legoland is in the general area, those are less common, and Windsor Castle is an example of something destination-specific. Hope you have some time off from the business of the trip, whatever you do.
I would definitely recommend a visit to the Leicester Square store. It does have some nice features that you won't find anywhere else. And of course the Lester polybag.
@KingAlanI Legoland isn't actually open on Tuesday so there wouldn't be much point in going there...
:-)
That's soooo American!
For Brits, the idea of travelling 2 hours to get to a theme park fills us with horror. Never mind about the 2 hours home :-D
Then got most of the way through #10245 when this happened.
Have only ever had a couple of the reddish brown 2555's break before when dismantling the Sandcrawler but put that down to heavy handedness on my part but never had a part shatter into pieces.
Looks like Santa's going to have more of a draft than usual this year (at least until a replacement comes) although it shouldn't bother him too much as the poor bloke forgot the rear of the house anyway.
I am going to throw these boxes out. Right?
And um, tomorrow morning I'm taking the Ninjago Ninja minifigures out of a random smattering of sets to do a Ninjago display. Already got Gen 1, NRG, and Temple of Airjitsu in the display.
Put them up on Ebay or Gumtree and see if you get any takers.
It was the weirdest coincidence - my housemate needed a new laptop and a friend said their landlord had a macbook going for £300. We thought it sounded worth investigating, so we went to check it out. Turns out, he's now partially retired, works for my old uni's student innovation/startup support thingy and rents to students.
He got to watch the movies before release as part of the team which was developing these toys and he was telling us how disappointed he was with Ep. 1, but how he couldn't say anything because he was under an NDA.
Why can't we actually just have Black Friday? Then Cyber Monday? :)
But like others on here, I've been receiving a regular "we're still trying to source one for you" emails from them. I knew a long time ago that it was never going to arrive but wanted to know how long it would take them to cancel the order.
"LEGO 42060 Roadwork Crew Set" [Toy]
The only 'similar' thing is the colour :)
#42060 for those who want to quickly look at it
But they aren't even in the same price bracket. If they want to give me £30 off the £20 set, I'll take it ;-)
I’ve been meaning to pick up #75827 - Firehouse Headquarters throughout this year. Today LEGO finally convinced me, picked this up for £137.99 after applying the 20% off and £90 of VIP points that I’ve saved throughout this year. Not only that I managed to get three promos: #40254, #40253 and #40178. The patience paid off both; the discount and the three promos.
Checking my order status, it seems that I'm also expecting two Death Stars later on today too. Oooops!
It looks like my numerous attempts on Saturday morning to order a Death Star has resulted in two orders going through.
Customer Services have agreed that rather than having to take one of the large boxes to the post office to return it, I can refuse delivery of one of them and they'll refund it when it eventually arrives back in Belgium. Doh!
What a joke of a website. But at least I "win" an extra nutcracker...
It is just far out man!
But I also have a big pile of Lego waiting to be build-ed. :)
Oh god. Planet Express ship and building would be day one purchases for sure, wouldn't even have to think twice.
Just a couple more weeks to add the Star Wars one!
Today I'm recuperating from the Lego birthday party from the weekend (report here for those interested) and preparing for the Advent. I had the plan to make my son a personalised advent calendar and been collecting for ages. Realised advent is soon, so had to get everything together. He'll get some Nexo figures (including Monstrux as a cloud which he's been wanting for ages), Ninjago ones, little builds from other advent calendars we didn't have before and, as every calendar needs a Santa-like figurine:
