^Sales start at 12 AM EST tonight, per the Lego Shop website.

I wish we could get a list before tonight so I'd know if it was worth staying up for. Based on past years the Nutcracker will be available for days and I have to be at work on Friday, so would prefer to order not at midnight if nothing good is on sale.

    BTW, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

If you change your region to the UK GB at the top right of the shop at home website, their black friday deals are already going, so It might be a preview list for the US.

Anybody been to TRU tonight to see what the 10 doorbuster 40% off sets are?  I am trying to see if it is worth my while to go out tonight.

    Not worth it

They won’t price match tonight either off regular price items. I ended up going to Walmart to buy Lego stuff.

Plenty of Harvest of Fear($34.99) at the Target I went to. Glad no one was swarming the LEGO aisle, and that the line wasn't that long going in and checking out as well. Also got LEGO Worlds for Switch($15).

Yeah, got in an order for a Palace cinema for 119.99, but that was it. Now the site is crashing
  • kbwkbw Member Posts: 422
Bummer. Really had my fingers crossed we'd get that Death Star offer that other countries are getting. No such luck.
  • AwesomenessAwesomeness Member Posts: 209
Yup website crashes, not great deals, and I thought there was double points too.

    No surprise, LEGO website crashing...

Was looking through all the sets on sale, and apparently it made me take to long, because now the only way I can get the inventory in my bag to appear is to reload the site, then add something to it... but I can't remove it after because of errors.  LEGO BF is about to be a big 'screw you guys, I'll just keep my money' then from me.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
I seriously wonder if some LEGO IT guy is getting a page right now, like they did not expect the site to have issues

Yep, I'm giving up too. This is why I buy almost all of my Lego sets from Amazon. Lego obviously doesn't need my money.

What the heck, the LEGO website charged me $6.95 for standard shipping! It was on a $39 dollar order. Going to have to fight this in the morning. Has this happened to anyone else?

Their site is screwed up. Charging shipping and removing the Nutcracker promo after entering a zip code

Made it to the checkout, where it actually added the nutcracker and moved shipping to '0' until I used Paypal, which then LEGO shows they are charging me for the shipping and removed the nutcracker, so I did not go through with the order. Could I do it and then go to CS? I suppose (that is if the order went through) but then I get an errand of an hour with everyone else calling CS to complain and get corrections. no thanks

You won't have to fight it, LEGO will fix it before it ships just check your order again later tomorrow.

meant to post here but i posted it in the toys r us deals thread.

rakuten.com sells LEGO (among everything else and their mother) via Toys R Us. They're basically a reseller like Amazon. the LEGO pieces are priced from the already price drops from TRU.com.
rakuten's black friday sale is 20%o off sitewide. thus, you can double dip the TRU sales with the rakuten code.

Well, the delay made me conclude I do not need Palace Cinema, and more importantly I was able to track down on the Walmart that I had already bought  Goblin Village this summer at a better price.

Got the Lego Batman police pack with O Hara in it and the Audi R8 LeMans to mod into the street version. Surprised to see so much stuff on offer this year.

I made an order, the charge is pending on my credit card, but s@h cancelled it because they could not verify the payment - WTF?! Now what should I do. The money is no longer available to use.

Everything that was on sale at 12:00 on S@H is still available from what I can tell. That should speak volumes.

FWIW, the TLBM Blu-ray + DVD is $6.00 on target.com. It's the barebones one (no minifig). Amazon does not seem to be matching it.

I think some of that may be the fact that for about the first 3 hours you could not buy anything from S@H US

The force wasn't with me today this black friday. Lego S@H had already ran out of Death Stars. So NO Death Star for me with 20% discount and whole lot of VIP points to redeem. Total bummer!
  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
First, I am surprised that they didn't offer double VIP points...either way, I was able to get an order before the site went crazy (after I placed my order, I wasn't able to see it online so I kinda got disappointed thinking it didn't go through...then I saw my CC was charged so I was good):

    #40261 Thanksgiving Harvest
    #40262 Christmas Train Ride
    #40263 Christmas Town Square
#10232 Palace Cinema (I got a second so that I can attempt a MOD with my current one)
#40170 Build My City Accessory Set
A blue mug, brick ice tray, and a PAB order (which I had been trying to get anyways)

I got the tote bag and the Nutcracker...not a good of a sale as I expected, but still good enough for me.

^ Double points were last weekend. The November Lego calendar never showed double points for this weekend.

I figured the Sand 32x32 Baseplates for 5 dollars would be sold out by now on S@H US
it appears the Palace Cinema and the F40 are both out of stock, and likely gone..Then again LEGO loves to take stuff in and out of stock. Simpson's house and Kwik E Mart appear to be gone too.

I think this Black Friday was the best they have had in a long time.

I would have saved a lot of money and ended up with a lot of nutcrackers if I had waited to buy sets.  I guess I'm in that 10% of people that won't be buying anything this Black Friday.

I made a trip down to the CT Post Mall yesterday around noon to pick up shelves from Target, and was amazed how empty the place was. I had ordered for pickup, and there was no line at customer service. Including a pass through the LEGO aisle it took under 15 minutes to get in and out of the store. Traffic was no worse than usual, so I either got really lucky or Black Friday shoppers were already done by noon.
