Creator Expert Vehicles - 2018 & Beyond

Is anyone privy as to what the next Creator Expert vehicle(s) will be?

I really liked the Ferrari and Mini, and am looking forward to what's next!

I have to admit, I really like the Creator cars, but wish they would be more to a specific scale than what they appear to be. I just really have no place to keep them for display, but even still I have the VW Camper van and new Beetle that I'm debating whether to keep them, or give them away as presents this Christmas

Anyway, I'd like to see a classic American chromed-up coupe.  ('57 Chevy, '52 Hudson Hornet, '37 Cadillac, '32 Ford)

Or a 'better' or larger scale Delorean.  That could be customized.

Land Rover for me or a UCS technic set of an Aventador packaged like the Porsche.

I still want an Aston Martin DB5. I know it was initially in consideration when they did the first beetle.

a Porsche Targa from 1956. That`s a classic. Although making all those round edges would be kinda difficult from lego.

Maybe we can have a train next year? (ever hopeful!)

I'd love to see an early Ford Escort or a Lancia Stratos but knowing my luck we'll probably get a helicopter next year.
  • A classic Ford Mustang.

I'm sure at some point in the marketing of the Technic Porsche, there was mention that it was the first of a new line.  Is there likely to be any truth to that?

^ We'll have to wait and see. Probably depends on how the Porsche does. It's not like they won't be producing another flagship set in the Technic range though...

Although that's rather OT in a thread about Creator Expert Vehicles - personally I'd like a Lamborghini. I missed the last one. But there are several others I'd like as well, some of which have already been mentioned.

^ Err... we have one of those already. Albeit not in this specific theme, but does that matter? Serious Q.

Edit: unless you're asking for a different variant of the Seven, in which case... you're being too picky :-)

Every time one of these vehicle topics come up (Creator, Speed Champions, etc.), people end up just naming their favorite vehicles.  Instead of doing strictly that, my suggestion would be a MB G-wagen.  For one, they already have the MB license.  Second, it's so boxy that it fits completely within the Lego aesthetic without using weird and unconvincing building methods.

And to fit in with everyone else's responses of naming cars they like in real life, they should specifically make the set a G63 AMG 6x6 with the G500 4x4^2 as the secondary model.  =P

I know they've already had a few Lamborghini models in other themes, but I would love the classic red Lamborghini Countach with a spoiler.

@MugenPower- the G-wagen would be an excellent choice -- and including an "AMG" sticker would be a neat touch :)

Like you, I am not going to name cars made by a US carmaker, since it seems LEGO already has existing licensing with the EU carmakers.  Having said that, I would love to see a Lamborghini Countach.

My "wildcard" pick would be from Japan -- an Acura NSX.

I, for one, hope the line continues for a long, long time. I would love to see a '50s Pink Cadillac. I figure, it needs to be something with global recognition and appreciation (if not appeal). I could see them doing a Jeep or a Mercedes Gullwing. Personally I would love an Aston Martin DB5 but I think that would be a fiendishly difficult shape to render in brick.

A Land Rover (or Jeep) would be a different style to the previous sets so seems like a possibility. I'd like to see what they'd do with the original Golf GTI, but that seems pretty unlikely to ever happen!

I think an original  golf GTI would be real cool to see. I was really happy when we got the Mini Cooper as that was a dream come true so I'm not sure much can top that for me.

If there is is one thing that I would like to see in the future is to have a larger variety in colors. We have gotten three red creator expert vehicles and I can only imagine that with those vehicles on display next to one green and one blue vehicle it would look better if there was more variety within the colors.

Lego seems pretty tight with McLaren right now with the special Speed Champions release and the full size model they have been showing off at events and social media. Would be a fun brand to make a Creator Expert for.

Jeep seems like a really good idea - Willys MB please, with lots of equipment and details. They could really go to town on that. Or CJ5 if a war-themed set is a problem.

Any sort of sports car would probably make me happy. But to add some diversity to the line up i hope for something American, (purple 60's or 70's muscle car?), Japanese (White GTR?) or a 4x4 (hopefully a LR). Colour wise (if you count in the 7) it would be nice with something purple, white, black or grey.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: famous movie / TV vehicles such a Back to the Future, DeLorean Time Machine and Ghostbusters Ecto-1. They would be pretty fantastic at the larger Creator Expert scale and they would appeal to more consumers.

Isn't it obvious? The next Creator expert car is going to be the Nissan Cube, complete with all 13 cup holders!

I wonder if the car that comes with the next modular will be accompanied by a larger sibling in the Creator Expert line later in 2018. I think it would go well with the rest of the line up and stand out in a good way. It would also tick many of the same boxes as the others - classic, iconic, fun and eye catching.

if it`s not a volkswagen, chances are under 50% of the car being done (based on the series so far).

You would think that they would retire one or two of the current line of 5 but then they do have 5 Modulars still available.

I’m quickly loosing my interest in this series; I’ve sold my Beetle and F40, didn’t purchase the London Bus and now I’m considering selling the MINI too...

I agree, more TV/movie famous cars.  For example, the green Mustang from Spencer for Hire; The A-Team van; the General Lee (very slim chance of that though due to the battle flag); the Bond 1977 Lotus Esprit; The Monkees' Pontiac GTO; the Blues Brothers' Dodge Monaco; Starsky & Hutch's Ford Gran Torino; or what I think would be the best, the EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle from Stripes.

Wow, they’re going to have to retire a lot of sets to make room for all that on the shelves.
  • tpvelotpvelo DKMember Posts: 9
In some of the darker corners of the rumour mill prices has been starting to be attached to the new set numbers, amongst others 10262. Could be complete guess work, who knows. But it's being suggested that it could be priced around € 145/$ 150-170 making it the most expensive of the current line of Creator Expert vehicles, even eclipsing the alerady large London Bus set which is  € 120/$ 140. I wonder what they could be up to with a 1800-2000 piece set?

If it was priced cheaper, I'd suggest it was a London taxi. A minifigure scale version appeared on the 2017 calendar and it would be a nice companion to the bus

Maybe it will be a ship.  Large piece count would make a lot of sense, and it's been what, 8 years now, since we've had a large real life ship model?  Although I don't know if that falls under 'vehicle' the way LEGO defines it :P

It would make sense but I think it would be a shame since UK is so over representated in the line (3/6 Counting in the Caterham).

Maybe it's a Mack truck? They've already got the license and the hood ornament... would suit both the "non UK" and "non civilian" motives...
