According to brickset
You own 161 sets (149 different): View the sets you own.
We have piece counts for 149 of the sets you own. Using that data we have calculated that you own 28140 pieces
This does not include all the grab bags or the pab wall purchases. It does not include bricklink or eBay parts purchases.

According to my wife I have too much.

According to me, I don't have enough :D

I'm nearing 700 sets.
• morezonemorezone Member Posts: 207
My son who's currently 2 and 1/2 has around 85 sets set aside for when he's older. These include, 10198, 10210, 10194, 10195. I'll probably buy all sets from 2012 onward providing I can get them at a discount. I really do hope he appreciates them but I'll have to wait a few years to find out.

I've only built a few sets myself since I'm a minifig collector. I must resist opening his sets and stealing the figs.
• PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,270
Apparently I own 52 sets (39 different) consisting of 22863 pieces. 26 of those 'sets' are polys and 2 are CMFs. Plus I probably have a good few thousand loose parts, as I buy parts more than sets these days, both from BL and PaB.

Not much compared to some, but I've not even been back into Lego for a year yet...
• dejavudejavu Member Posts: 235
@Paperballpark - that's the thing - I have over 25 full sets plus polys and minifigs and I, too, have been into Lego for less than a year. Honestly, it's like a fever possesses you...
• dejavudejavu Member Posts: 235
and I should add, most of my sets are BIG sets - modulars, HH, Diagon alley, Medieval marketplace.
• PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,270
@dejavu Yes that's what most of my collection is - GG (BL'd), GE, FB, MMV, TB, Mini Modulars, as well as all the Winter Village sets.

103 sets over 86000 pcs. 4 years of collecting.

I'm asking for money to buy more Lego and my parents tell me I have got too much Lego with only over 10,100 pieces in total (I know I don't own a lot compared to others)
• Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
I'm with @LegoFanTexas, if you have 50 Diagon Alleys, that's not a collection. If you opened up 49 of them and built a replica of Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley and had it displayed, I would consider THAT a collection.

I know there are those with more than this out there, but in my life I have amassed approximately 500,000 pieces from all the sets that I have. Star Wars line alone I have 583 figures....

Just wemt over 150k.. 625 sets and 1350 minifigures. Glad that I've slowed down!
• khmellymelkhmellymel Member Posts: 1,314
According to Brickset, I own "295 sets (231 different)", with a calculation of 15754 pieces. Not a whole lot, but I did have a mini hiatus when I went to China last (school) year (only bought one set). Real Lego in China is expensive!
• trickydicky0880trickydicky0880 Member Posts: 134

606 sets, or 127687 pieces and 1784 Minifigures. Not bad for 16 years old... In my opinion at least!

Your parents must be loaded!

Per BL:
•You own 218 sets (199 different)
•We have piece counts for 187 of the sets you own. Using that data we have calculated that you own 83240 pieces!
•You own 548 minifigs

I've been trying to thin out my collection after collecting 10+ years. Checking my recent collection statistics, I don't like what I see, but I can take solace that I'm not even in the top 1000.

Owned:
Sets: 928 (~350 are collectible minifigures, Ranked 1339)
Pieces: 183481 (Ranked 3617)
Minifigures: 1991 (Ranked 2232)
Retail Price: $20,946

$2k per year sounds about right.

My rule the past few years has been not to introduce new cash into my collection, but to sell what I have to fund new sets.
• HanzoHanzo Member Posts: 607
Less than a year into the hobby but I think I have made a solid start, according to this site.

220 sets, 196 different
485 minifigs
60,548 pieces

No clue how to keep track of random pieces no included in sets, but have a few tubs worth as well.

How big? It's very small, but I'm still proud of it. I have just 9 sets, here they are: 10179 - UCS Millennium Falcon 10212 - UCS Imperial Shuttle 10178 - Motorized Walking AT-AT 8017 - Darth Vader's Tie Fighter 6206 - Tie Interceptor 7657 - AT-ST 8037 - Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter 8088 - ARC-170 Starfighter 7256 - Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid That's it.
Quality not quantity!

Brickset says I have 19 sets and 27 minifigures - but they're all on display :)

Someone just dug out a 6 year old post!

The original teenage poster is likely a working class adult now, I wonder what is his current status.

Back on topic, I have around 6900 minifigures (inclusive of loose ones not in my Brickset database) and close to 800K parts inclusive of loose/PAB bricks.

Been slowing down drastically for the past 2 years due to lack of fund. Rank wise both around 130+. Don't think I will ever break into the top 100 unless I move into a bigger house AND had a windfall. :)

All hail, @vwong19, leader of the Zombie Thread Resurrection Association!

I've got a bit of a cop-out, as I separate my keychains, polys, 'display/build' sets and set collection across four different profiles.  And I've got non-categorized marketing and promotional stuff that defies inventory.  And there are the seven storage bins of loose pieces...

And I now realize my minifigure displays aren't included in any profile.

Otherwise, there is just too much to page through!

I think I own about 40 opened sets including LoTR, City, Trains, UCS Star Wars, modulars, sculptures like TB, Technic, sets like the Volkswagon bus, and other random sets.

I have at least another 40 sets still in their boxes
• flordflord Member Posts: 797
I just cleared 300 sets, but to me this number is inflated as I don't consider Lego Dimensions, Lego books, DVDs, or even polybags as sets.
• PeteMPeteM Member Posts: 447
I make use of the custom flags provided for that kind of thing - so CMFs have their own flag but aren't marked as owed and don't count in my set total (because they just aren't ;) ), and I have an additional marker for sets that I own but are 'yet to build'. A custom query means I can easily see what I have yet to build - the intention being that it will stop me buying more when I have loads sealed in boxes, but that's not really happened...

^ Ditto - although my wife is only annoyed about the ones I've opened but aren't displayed in the right place, or the ones she's bought me but I haven't opened yet. It's a fine line I have to walk sometimes...

Ahh, the Z.T.R.A., I've heard of this group.

I've slowed in my collecting / logging of set and parts because I've dropped a few spots on the list.  I have been picking up used lots (and it's adding to my total numbers) but I haven't been logging the loose parts / LugBulk on this site.  So my total parts number below is actually closer to 300k.

Sets: Own 920, 641 unique
Minifigs: 2,358, 1,194 unique (no idea the truer number for this, likely closer to 3000)
Parts: 185,979 (closer to 300k with bulk, bricklink, and other secondhand purchases)

238 Sets
138 Polybags
6 Dimensions
25 Books
28 Magazines
334 CMF's

Recently I have recurring dreams (= nightmares) in which I have to move to another house. In those dreams I'm obsessively busy to get everything together but unfortunately many sets are suddenly scattered on the floor in loose pieces. And then I discover that half of it consist of clone bricks....
In the end I wake up sweating all over my body.
Oh my: do you think I have to see a psychiatrist?

I hesitate to say this, but I'm starting to think... maybe big enough? Mainly because our attic is now full of other stuff that needs to be whittled down, and I've had to squeeze all the Lego into one corner - it's made me think about storage space vs. space to do things in, and I'm thinking that I might not want my collection to keep growing at the rate it has in the last couple of years. The exceptions would be ordinary 1xX bricks in brick yellow and any grey - I intend to do a lot more MOCing in the future and I'd like to have a thousand more of each, in various sizes, for buildings...

So Brickset says that I own 2075 items, 2061 different and the my collection is ranked 136th, this is inflated by the fact that I count merchandise such as Keychains, Books, Games, Movies, and I also own every collectible minifigure released so far. This doesn't include doubles, as I do have a few duplicates of some sets and mimifigures.

I know I’m very selective about what I buy for sets, both new, & bricklink, but I didn’t realize how thin my budget was by comparison.  Despite buying one or two sets here & there throughout the 2010s when there’s one I really want, my collection amounts to 114 sets, with 31,485 pieces.  My ranking is somewhat lower than my piece count.  So yes they all get opened & built lol.  That includes the odd poly bag I’ve bought, my childhood sets that I put back together, duplo I have in the closet for the grandkids (which also gets opened & built!).  Looks like I shouldn’t feel guilty about wanting more modulars, the Disney castle, and the Ninjago city! :D

I own 412 items, 338 different. I own over 100,000 pieces! 10,000+ being Bricklinked parts for MOCs and a couple for sets.
• TyresOFlahertyTyresOFlaherty Member Posts: 345
I own 367 sets (180 of those are CMF), 768 minifigs (659 different), for a total of 68653 pieces!

Running into the same issue as @catwrangler in that if I keep going at the rate I've been buying sets, I'm going to have to kick some of the kids out of their rooms to put some of my Lego sets (I'm a display guy, not a MOC guy....yet?) Although I'm sure they'd understand that kicking them out of their room was for a good cause. ;)

I was doing some totting up whilst at BrickLive, and I reckon that I probably have somewhere between 400,000 and 500,000 parts. I have no idea exactly how many though.

Came out of the dark ages last May. I now have about 30/40 sets and a couple of MOC's. Luckily, I also got my old Lego back from my mom, so I have a box of loose pieces as well. And don't worry, it'll keep expanding :).

• I've been entering my parts at Rebrickable.com and it says that I have 191,000 parts but there are probably another 20,000-30,000 parts not entered. I have only been entering some of the incomplete sets on Brickset.
• AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,566
I keep my set collection in Brickset and am up to 381 sets after coming out of my dark age around 18 months ago. Hardly any are CMFs or loose figs. I also have a lot of loose parts bought secondhand, mostly from a local collector who has been selling off his collection at a local antique store. I really don't know how many parts that is.

What I want to know is, how do people inventory and keep track of their loose parts without going insane?
• piratemania7piratemania7 Member Posts: 2,146
^it’s quite difficult.
• Astrobricks  I use rebrickable.com but that only takes care of inventory not keeping track of the actual bricks (I don't know how many times I've been looking for something knowing I have it here somewhere). I'm not sure about it helping with insanity either because of the time it takes to enter the inventory of parts when they are bought loose.

I have cut my collection in half in 2016 and again in 2017. I think one more 50% reduction and it will finally be manageable.
