Poor Graham Reaper. He's just trimming some hedges with a scythe out the back of the house, gets disturbed by the door and then has to clean up after you. At least he gets some free fertiliser for his trouble.

Happy Halloween to all of you too.

Don't forget that this evening is also the deadline for the Secret Santa, so if you haven't applied - get your ducks in a row!

@nexander Fantastic! Good on both of you.

I see we've staggered our shows this year, ours is this weekend so I'd better go back to building.

@nexander - that's a great article. Glad your other half is able to use Lego as therapy for her anxiety. Also glad you've got some great publicity for your show. That story is just full of win. Hope it all goes really well for you and your family!

    Oooh, I like this.

    Here goes:

    1. What LEGO themes do you collect? Marvel Superhereos, Modulars, CMFs (in their entirety), then select sets from DC, Ninjago, Star Wars and others...really anything minifig-scale that I like regardless of the theme.
    2. How big is your LEGO collection? 1,745 sets, 2,983 minifigs, 205,360 parts
    3. What's your favourite Minifigure? At the moment...Silver Centurion. (How could I not pick an Iron Man?)
    4. What's your favourite set? 6080 King’s Castle
    5. What's your latest LEGO purchase? A lot of orange and blue pieces.
    6. How do you display your collection? Sadly, they aren’t displayed at the moment. Unless you count what my sons are playing with.
    7. How do you dust your collection? No dusting required. (Bonus of not being displayed.)
    8. How do you store your spare parts? Haphazardly.
    9. What else do you collect? Nothing at the moment. I’ve had collections in the past, but only LEGO stuck. I’ve done my best to avoid going down a path with something I may not actually want years later.
    10. What are you reading right now? LEGO related? This message board.

There is too much information in one thread here. I can't cope. Please link to your comments from the other threads where such things are discussed. I need to have a lie down now. :-)

    1. What LEGO themes do you collect? Mainly subsets of: Space (Classic, Futuron, Blacktron - focussing on the ships), Star Wars (only the spaceships and only IV-VI), Marvel & DC Superheroes (very hard to write down why I get the sets/minifigs that I get and when I look at what I have I sometimes think "Why this set?"), LOTR (still waiting for Minas Tirith), Creator (no, I can't explain my criteria here either), Speed Champions (road-going cars and modified versions only, certain marques, certain models), some Ideas sets (usually licensed from some IP I like), some UCs where it matches other criteria above. Architecture (places I've been to). Finally, some random ones just because...
    2. How big is your LEGO collection? 185 sets, 364 minifigs, 76866 pieces
    3. What's your favourite Minifigure? Benny (tlm057), Boba Fett (sw610), Excalibur Batman (dim043), Captain America (sh184), Arwen (lor060) that was very hard to narrow down.
    4. What's your favourite set? UCS X-wing Fighter (7191)
    5. What's your latest LEGO purchase? Battle of Atlantis (76085) I'm as surprised as you are.
    6. How do you display your collection? All over the place, wherever it fits.
    7. How do you dust your collection? I don't.
    8. How do you store your spare parts? In the boxes they came in, in the attic.
    9. What else do you collect? Transformers, SW die cast spaceships, model Lamborghinis, books, graphic novels, Metal Earth, Star Trek bits and bobs, Fantasy RPGs, other geeky/nerdy things
    10. What are you reading right now? All the other threads where I've put this down previously.

I placed two Bricks and Pieces orders on 10th October. One arrived about a week later, the other has only just dispatched :-O

Wondering whether I should fill in the "survey" or not and thought, "why not, if nobody is interested, they don't have to read it", so here goes, with bonus question from a recent thread:
    1. What LEGO themes do you collect? Star Wars, Creator Expert (Vehicles, Modulars, and I've just discovered I've been instructed to start buying Winter Village)
    2. How big is your LEGO collection? According to Brickset, 737 sets, 188534 pieces, 1165 minifigs. But I have several kilos I bought 2nd hand that aren't catalogued and loads of BL and PAB orders.
    3. What's your favourite Minifigure? Don't have one
    4. What's your favourite set? Do I have to pick only one?!? #21304 Ideas Doctor Who? It's the only one I have on display, at least. (Ooops, I have Saturn V here too).
    5. What's your latest LEGO purchase? #21312 and #40174 from [email protected] with freebies
    6. How do you display your collection? I don't, although I have loads on shelves in the loft, so maybe that counts?
    7. How do you dust your collection? I don't, the loft is surprisingly not dusty anyway.
    8. How do you store your spare parts? It's all Huw's fault. I have 28 Really Useful scrapbook drawers in 4 towers; a stack of Raaco/Draper drawers and a load of the small x 16 Really Useful hobby box packs.
    9. What else do you collect? Prong stuff. Prong are a heavy metal band, I'm a groupie. I have a large t-shirt collection, amongst many other things.
    10. What are you reading right now? Papercuts by Colin Bateman.
    11. What set do you regret buying? None, but I regret buying the loose LEGO by the kilo as most of it was in bad condition.

What LEGO Themes do you collect? Star Wars, Marvel Super Heroes, DC Super Heroes, Friends, DC Super Hero Girls, Nexo Knights, City, LEGO Movie related sets(Batman, Ninjago, TLM), Disney, Dimensions, Ghostbusters, Ideas, Polybags (Creator and the like), anything that grabs my fancy on clearance for potential unique review or parts fodder.

How big is your LEGO collection? 1189 Sets, 1793 Minifigures, 93,518 pieces.

What's your favorite Minifigure? I do not typically pick favorites, however I must admit Daphne Blake is fairly high on the list of awesome Minifigures in my collection.

What's your favorite Set? Jabba's Palace from 2012 is a strong contender, however I'd have to say my absolute favorite has to be the DC Super Heroes Arkham Asylum.

What's your latest LEGO Purchase? The LEGO Batman Movie The Essential Collection.

How do you display your collection? Rotationally, new sets are on display until reviewed on Brickset, older sets are kept in storage, certain large sets are permanently on the limited shelf space I have available, such as Arkham Asylum, Avengers Tower, TFA Millennium Falcon and other sets which I do not wish to disassemble for storing in bins and the like.

How do you dust your collection? I do not, I dust the shelves, but I just can't afford any pressurized air containers or the like to keep the dust off... not to mention the shelf is a bit high, making it impractical to climb up and dust every so often. (Have to keep the cat from damaging anything.)

How do you store your spare parts? Ziplock freezer bags, recently have begun getting small Dollar Store Office Storage drawers for storage options, still need to get another one for all the spare plates, studs, accessories and stuff that come in every LEGO set.

What else do you collect? Transformers, Star Wars, Mega Bloks/Construx, Marvel Legends, S.H. Figurarts, Video Games, Books (Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Star Trek and Star Wars, etc, etc...), Movies, Assorted Miscellaneous Figure lines which interest me.

What are you reading right now? The Soulforge, Realms of Infamy and Star Trek Death Count. (I've gotten fairly behind in my reading list and so I've taken to handling three paperbacks at once, alternating between one or the other until finished and then starting another book. As an avid reader and book collector I regularly shop at the local Children's Hospital Book Sales Drive, and the books are so cheap I have... ahem... Shall we say accumulated a rather large backlog of books to read.)

What set do you regret buying? Dol Guldur, the large set. It may be part of The Hobbit film series and the set is passable, however I have long desired a decently sized fortress and Dol Guldur just did not deliver, not the way Helm Deep did at least. *SIGH* As a completionist of The Hobbit Theme I had to buy it eventually, but as a LEGO Collector, it is arguably the weakest set I ever bought and the thing wasn't even discounted that heavily when I finally did pull the trigger.

Perhaps regret was the wrong term. As my display focus evolved they ended up getting stored, so I thought I ought to pass them on. They were actually all great sets and were displayed initially. If anything I actually regret selling the Luke Skywalker keychain, but only because he's an X-wing pilot ;) I still have the Theron Nett Minifigure from #75032 to fill that slot, along with two other rebel pilots so I really didn't 'need' him as well.

I wasn't going to do it...but peer pressure and all.

    1. What LEGO themes do you collect? I'm a bit eclectic and unfocused, but you could probably lump it into Star Wars, Lego Ideas Sets, and Winter Village.
    2. How big is your LEGO collection? About "this big" (holds hands apart). In all honesty, I have no idea. Miniscule compared to most here.
    3. What's your favourite Minifigure? Undecided.
    4. What's your favourite set? I'll limit it to those I currently own. I'll say #21303 Wall-E as he got me out of my Dark Ages. (okay, one I don't own but love the idea of #71040 Disney Castle)
    5. What's your latest LEGO purchase? A 42lbs tote of loose bricks off Facebook
    6. How do you display your collection? An IKEA bookshelf for some. My sons desk and floor for others.
    7. How do you dust your collection? I occasionally dust or take sets apart to clean and then rebuild. It is Lego a
    8. How do you store your spare parts? Random bins and boxes. I really don't have spare parts. It's my son's every-day-building-bricks.
    9. What else do you collect? Root Beer, Vintage Fireworks (super safe, right!?), and Disney Collectible Pins
    10. What are you reading right now? Brickset Forums
    11. What set do you regret buying? I'm thankful I haven't been back into Lego long enough to regret any buys I've made. I hope to not spend money that I later regret spending either. Fingers crossed!

To clarify a bit, I "attempt" to make them inert - you know, without blowing them or myself up. All of those in my collection inside of my home are completely inert with no explosive composition in them. Others in my collection that are waiting for their turn are stored in an approved storage container.

    So, it's not THAT dangerous...

Do not mess with ex-special forces solider Sensei Wu. He’s tired of Garmadon’s antics.

I am also very tempted to give Wu a fast car or make rapper Sensei Wu.

I made a better ex-special forces turned ninja master Wu:

There is so much bold I have given up reading these. Guess Ill just go hang out in the 'over 30' thread

Haha, I'm overwhelmed by all the bold text too, so many posts to scroll through!

Back to topic, yesterday went to a local TRU to check out the Gamadon Shark, but didn't get it. Now I've got second thought so later tonight after work will probably drop by again to get it.

Had been told by my "local" Lego Store that they might get a delivery of #75192 MF today. Called them a bit after 7 (they open at 10) and was told they indeed got in a batch, and that I could reserve one for pickup today. Yay!
Have sold this as good news to my wife, as  now she doesn't have to figure out anymore what to get me for my birthday later this month...

In all the excitement I forgot to ask them whether they also received those little yellow wheels to slap on the shipping box. Better call them back to ask, or figure out a different way to get the MF to my car...
