    Well it does not surprise me. But that is probably because of some of the experiences I have had in the past ordering Lego from them, as well as how they sometimes communicate with their customers which can be rather curt if not plain rude and off putting.
    They deliver fast, and usually everything works out fine. When somehow they mess up and you contact them, they usually will correct it, unfortunately this has not always been the case.

    I have had three bad experiences ordering from them, the worst was this:
    ordering a full box of CMF's from them, and receiving a box with a tempered seal (plain to see). The box had been opened and one of the rare unicorn girl CMFs had been exchanged for a much more common figure. So instead of the box with 60 figures containing three complete series of 16 CMFs, it only contained two complete series. Those boxes leaving the factory in China always contain the exact same amount of CMFs, with all the various figures in the exact same amounts distributed in each box. First thing I did was check their site to see if they still had stock, which they did not, plus they would not get more stock, which meant I could not send it back for another one. Back then that really pissed me off. Last couple of times I ordered something from them everything was and arrived as it should be, lets hope it will stay that way, otherwise in the future I will spend my money elsewhere.

    On a more positive note, they do every now and then have nice special offers.

    I found this offer a better slightly option at Amazon France (10€ offerts pour l'achat de 50€ de chèques-cadeaux Amazon.fr). Took advantage of it last week but did not bother posting as it was hard to find the link without another affiliate code than Brickset embedded. @Huw Is there a way for me to "Bricksetify" an Amazon link before I embed it on a post here?

    You can use the voucher yourself typically, have it delivered via email and add it to your account. Only valid intil 31/10 and if you haven't bought a gift voucher in the past 24 months.

    Most shops in Luxembourg have started the Sinterklaas promotions last/this week, with some very decent prices, but nothing truly spectacular.

    Auchan changed that today by giving 25% cashback on their client card this week on all Lego. Some highlights:
    • #10508 Duplo deluxe Train Set: EUR 82.49 => EUR 62
    • #10840 Duplo Big Fair: EUR 47.49 => EUR 36
    • #41324 Snow Resort Ski Lift: EUR 34.49 => EUR 26
    • #41318 Heartlake Hospital: EUR 69 => EUR 52
    • #70618 Destiny's Bounty: EUR 114.99 => EUR 86
    • #70613 Garma Mecha Man: EUR 45.99 => EUR 34.5
    • #70615 Fire Mech: EUR 52.99 => EUR 40
    • #70612 Green Ninja Mech Dragon: EUR 32.49 => EUR 24
    • #60051 High-speed Passenger Train: EUR 77.99 => EUR 58.5
    • #75187 BB-8: EUR 72.99 => EUR 55
    • #75190 First Order Star Destroyer: EUR 109.49 => EUR 82
    • #70917 The Ultimate Batmobile: EUR 95.49 => EUR 72
    • #70916 The Batwing: EUR 65.90 => EUR 49.5
    • #42065 RC Tracked Racer: EUR 52.99 => EUR 40
    • #42070 6x6 All Terrain Tow Truck: EUR 183.49 => EUR 138
    Cora and Cactus have the same sets in promo, for about the same price (give or take 1-2 euro). However no additional 25% off this week as far as I am aware.

    @Kerre The new Aucan in Differendange opened last week.

    Dreamland is having the same action as previous years, where you can gather points. For each 120€ you spend, you can get a 5€ coupon. So this is actually worse than the regular VIP points system from LEGO itself. (although the prices at Dreamland are usually significantly lower)

    Thanks @wardm last years they started this together with the 15% right? Too bad that isn't the case anymore, not just for Lego, but Sinterklaas an Xmas presents too.

    There's still 15% off on friends though if anyone is after that :)
  • wardmwardm Member Posts: 887
    @snowhitie yes I thought so too... previous years there had been an overlap, but I guess they saw no profit in double promotions...

    It's really great, just chuck in 12 email address. Friends don't even have to do the action themselves. You get the coupon every 1st of the month. If anyone wants an extra coupon this month, PM me your email address and I'll add you as one of my friends.

    Thanks for finding that @Aleydita. Niederanven is only a 15min drive away for me, so will go check it out.
    Too bad it's not a Lego Store, or even a Certified one. Would have been nice to have some more options for D2C sets.

    So far that store only sold Mindstorms and Education sets. Interesting to see them branch out.

    I've ordered from them before, for some reason they carry a much wider range than Rato Education here in Belgium, but curiously still not the full Lego Education range (close, though). To date they haven't really had any interesting sales, but when I ordered they threw a few freebies in. Seems the wrong way to do it but who am I to argue :)

    They offer free shipping to 28 countries from their online store (Lego available now also) when you spend €75 or more.

    ^Always good to have another local source of Education (for #9286 base plates for instance). Margins on electronics are quite low so it's a natural thing to broaden the range with relatively higher-margin products. Alternate is working an a different scale but has done a similar thing.

    Some other offers on in our region currently:

    - 10% off all toys at Dreamland this weekend (Edit: Webshop only)

    - Bol.com has an interesting offer: a free 10 € voucher on LEGO with no real minimum spend other than a 10 € min LEGO set value. Do keep in mind free shipping is from 20 €. You do need to jump a fair bit of hoops to get the voucher: You need to be have an account, "watch" videos and remain logged in for 2 hours. I just left a PC on showing vids for two hours and went to do something else. Got my voucher last night.

    @Kerre @snowhitie can someone add a link to the page where you can get this voucher? I can't find it anywhere...
  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
    @wardm you go to 'speelgoed' and then to 'lego', there you can see you can get a golden reward. It's this banner 'speel filmpjes'

    https://www.bol.com/nl/b/lego/4148554/

    I've let it run this morning and got the 'sticker' for the golden present; The vouchers get send out once a week, so seeing ase @kerre got his just recently I'm guessing mine will come end of the week.

    The promo mini-site is well-hidden indeed.

    I had been clicking on that red "Verdien 10,- korting" tab visible in list views multiple times earlier this week but nothing happenened. Turns out you have to go to a product detail page - then clicking on the tab actually does something, it expands the grey zone shown below. The second link ("Bekijk en maak hier filpjes en verdien €10 korting") takes you to the promotion mini site.

    Alternatively, here's a direct link:
    https://speel.bol.com/stickers

    @snowhitie: It's a strange promo indeed. No way I would let my kids watch videos for two hours. On the other hand, I might make a movie together with my boys next weekend now I've seen so many other adorable youngster make their own play video.

    Non Benelux resident here with a quick question.
    Are FUN still doing the Star Wars box with the Scarif Trooper in (their website seems to still have them to buy at €8.49 but no translate function at the moment so not entirely sure) and is there a small chance one of the local Bricksetters would be able to pick me up a couple and forward them on? Will obviously reimburse any postage and packing.

    No worries if they have stopped doing it, just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.
  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
    @bandit778 when I was trying to add a SW set to my basket last week I kept getting there error that the freebie was out of stock.

    Where can you see it on the site to buy? If I can just buy then I can always order or send my husband to pick them up in-store. Are you after the whole box or just the trooper?
  • sid3windrsid3windr Member Posts: 1,460
    Dreamland still has it - at least, it's in their printed toy catalogue and in the e-mail they sent today. In-store only and 1 box per 25+€ of LEGO Star Wars.
  • KerreKerre Member Posts: 411
    @bandit778 Not intending to interfere with @Snowhitie 's good works but I'm sitting* on a bunch of inspiration boxes because of recent SW purchases made at my local Fun. I'm looking to offload a handful of them. TBH, these boxes are now almost everywhere. My local Fun store still has them should you need more. I also have access to bulk postage rates to UK because of work.

    No formal feedback but I did supply two regulars here with TLNM minifigs as I'm sure they will attest.

    *Not literally of course. Never thought I'd have an excess of #40268. Maybe I need to start trading them.

    @snowhitie
    The page I was looking at was this one.

    https://www.fun.be/lego-sw-inspiration-box.html

    It lets me add them to the basket and the trolley shows the items available and the £2.99 delivery charge (presumably a fixed charge up to a certain amount) which would only apply to local delivery, it then goes to the login screen. Didn't get any further because it would probably tell me to politely naff off but as you are aware my language skills aren't that good so not 100% sure what I was looking at.

    ^Allright, thanks. We have a PM conversation going.

    On topic: Dreamland.de now has 10% on LEGO. Ends 19/11 as well, maybe to counter the FUN offer.

    Oh, and a FUN decided #75192 is eligible for a 15% discount. You'll have to wait two more months to get it but you do get an inspiration box with it:

  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
    Yes, very tempting... Must... not... buy...

    Husband went to dreamland and bought the REsistance pod for 31 euro. STill expensive for a teensy set, but much better than the retail of 45... Plus we were going for one of the boxes!!!
    Guy at the till: 'oh sorry we are out'
    Husband: 'will you get some more in'
    MAnager who walks past: ' well he said we were out'
    Husband: 'well, I know that, but will you get some more in? '
    MAnager: 'it does say 'until we run out' '
    husband: 'yes I know that, that is not what I asked, but will you get some more in?'
    (in the mean time he's whatasapping with me to check if i want the set without the freebie).
    Manager looks a bit on the computer. Grunts a bit, goes into the back, comes back with a load of them... The one we got had been openened  but looks complete.

    So in short, never hurts to ask the same question 3 times and I'm a happy bunny!

    @snowhitie Did the circular transparent tape seal become unstuck or was it effectively broken?

    Every box I received until now had its seal become unstuck/loosening by itself.

  • AleyditaAleydita Member Posts: 952
    I think it's a Belgian thing, the weird customer service I mean. The local Maxi Toys once refused to honour a discount printed in their magazine simply because someone had forgotten to put a new barcode sticker on one of the two boxes I'd taken to the checkout. Both were the exact same set and the shelf was full of them, all with the new price barcode except for this one I'd picked up. The checkout lass refused to honour the sale price, as did the manager - who actually sent someone to the shelf to remove all the stock of this set so that I couldn't just go and pick up another one. I argued for a bit but ended up walking out empty handed, dumping about €300 of merchandise, and have never been back to that branch. I think the discount was about €12.

    Belgium has a weird notion of customer service. It's like most of the staff working in retail think they're doing you a favour by letting you shop there. The only two stores that really welcome you here are Cool Blue and the Lego Store.

    @Kerre ah, no it was just like you said, the tape had come loose, so it might not have been opened at all.

    @Aleydita I agree, it's such a big difference with the UK, especially if you try and return something or have a complaint. Why would I be loyal to my local small shop if I get better service and lower prices from an (evil) internet giant?

    ^15 to 21 November according to the folder.

    Had read that folder earlier but didn't post. I dislike 3-for-2s in general - it's often difficult to find three sets you really want in the same price bracket in order to benefit from the optimal 33% discount. On top of that, the Hyper Carrefour's near where I live (Sint-Denijs-Westem) only carries about a quarter of the LEGO selection the had a year ago, all at RRP.

    I was trying to check out the 3 for 2 tonight as well, but it doesn't help they don't have an online storefront ;) Amazon will likely be cheaper-or-almost-as-cheap without forcing you [although I wanted to buy a set on there yesterday, and they only had 'express' shipping (10.2€), the f*] to buy 3 sets at once.

    I was waiting for the voucher to order some stuff (also non-lego) from Bol, but it all went up in price majorly or is simply sold out, now. Sigh.

    One page I read said you had to have all stickers to get the bonus. I wonder if that was how it was programmed...
  • KerreKerre Member Posts: 411
    Just two hours on the site was enough in my case. I definitely did not get all stickers and got my voucher. Ended up getting 10 out of 14 stickers.

    Wouldn't be surprised if there was more demand than anticipated or if someone found a loophole to get more stickers. The price hikes/out-of-stock sets also point in that direction. Maybe someone panicked/pulled the plug on the auto voucher send routine. No reason to back out of the offer of course.

  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
    I got all the stickers except the 'post a movie' one and if they give a 'golden surprise sticker' that gives your the bonus it should trigger the thing, but yes, maybe faulty coding or rethinking the offer. But then they shouldn't publicise it anymore either.
