    At this stage, I think this is fair: bad 41983, bad! Shoo.

    It's very simple, if Lego cared about keeping their design a secret they's have the managers sign a NDA and call it a day.  Unless he did and is risking his job to give you the design to a plastic toy rocket ship.

    Fair enough.  But if that were the case, then why all the hoops and conditions to get the design, rather than just posting it somewhere - esp. when using a thread topic "For Free To All..." ??

    Just trying to understand the thought process.

    I think you're just looking too deeply into it.  He wanted to share something with the community he's a part of.  Technically it isn't right, but if Lego really cared they'd take the steps to prevent it or at least outline the punishment for leaking it.  I mean as a teen you ever had a friend give you a free soda when you saw him at work?  This is sort of like that, this just happens to be a lot of virtual friends and no one is actually losing any money since this set and instructions isn't sold by Lego.

    Hmmm...just a bystander here, reading all of this.  I wonder, what can we do next time, to prevent all of this?  I'll ask a guy.  ;)

    This could be the start of a fun contest! Come up with your own arcade ride. There are lots and lots of possibilities!

    I'm still after a few parts to finish the bases, but I imagine it won't be too hard to adapt some of the micro fighters or mighty micros to do a themed range for the ride on part.

    Not breaching the company's intellectual property / copyright or whatever is is almost certainly part of a manager's general terms and conditions of employment anyway. It certainly was part of mine, when I worked for a technology company and had access to pre-market devices.

    Of course something like this would not be considered to be a serious offence by any reasonable company, but if it happened enough it would probably be enough to earn a mild rebuke.

    It appears these are gifts rather than pre-market sets. The gift belongs to the manager once given, it is no longer LEGO's property. It would be very hard for LEGO to stop the manager disposing of the gift in any way they liked, including selling it. And what the person buying it does with it is no longer in the control of the manager.

    Some of the builds from the dimension packs would be quite good as well. (Having built the batmobile from the starter pack last night one of my first thoughts was that it looked like a kiddies ride).

    I'm trying to decide if I could in any way modify this a few times to fit into my Winter Village City Square...or maybe MOC an arcade of sorts?

    I'm just curious about the scale of it compared to the average WV building. Would it look too funky?

    Please let's stop discussing the motives and T&Cs of the OP's generous offer and instead be grateful that he's able to share instructions for such a cool model with the Brickset community.
    Thank @HuwMillington for chiming in!

    Thanks @samiam391 for posting this up! Sent you a message as my oldest boy will LOVE building this! He always hops into any little rides he sees like this even if we don't have a quarter to put in it.

    What is that grey piece you're using for the reindeer's head? Also, interesting use of claw pieces as clips.

    @Switchfoot55
    Go ahead, i used this set for the sleigh: 40059
    Can send you instructions if you want how i did it (The adjustment of the base where the sleigh is on)
    The santa sleigh you can find the instructions for that on the lego website or google it
    I only added some presents + the white plates below it so it could sit on the red plate on the bottom to bump :D  *and on the side of the reindeer the white holders so it could resist the bumping )

    @Cyberdragon
    Thats a bionycle (Hope i spelled it correct) body (Bricklink id: 30375)
    Yeah the white at the rear of the reindeer need to change color of it, only had white in stock at the moment but thinking about changing it to black.
    So it looks more fitted then just a random white piece :)
    Had it first without but after let it bump a few times it just fell down
    The black pieces (i think you mean that with claw pieces) are these:
    Bar 1L with Clip Mechanical Claw (Bricklink id: 48729)

    @samiam391, not sure if it would help you in sending things out, but I've put all of the pictures into a Word document in build order. I'd be happy to send you that copy so you only have one file to upload instead of several. Although attaching them all may be just as easy as attaching one.

    I've combined them into a single pdf file, if that could be of assistance as well.  Lmk
