Is lego cars junior line worth collecting?

Hi, I am new to lego and I found out that there's lego cars ( one of my fav movie) but its in a junior line. I do not know the differences between juniors and normal lego sets but those cars sets look like its made of lego bricks so why junior? Also is it worth collecting?

If you like them yes, if not no?

Seriously though - i have them all (and am clearly not the demographic) and love them. The car's themselves are not as complex as the system sets, but are still nice. The little extra's with each set are OK and flesh out any of the system bits nicely, but the cars are the stars, only real let down is MAC. If you can get the original system MAC then do, it is great.

I picked up two of them for my grandson.
#10730 Lightning McQueen Speed Launcher has a nice rendition of McQueen. The launcher is cute as a display stand, but not much fun as a launcher. Best launch we've gotten barely clears the launcher.
#10733 Mater's Junkyard Mater is nice, the accessories have been ignored, despite some nice printed parts.

The cars in the CARS2 sets seem to be the same as the ones in the CARS3 Juniors sets. If you're a fan of Disney Cars and don't already have the characters from other sets, I'd say they are worth collecting. As an investment for resale, not so much.

My grandson still has more fun with the Duplo versions.

If you like the Cars movies, then I'd say they're worth collecting. The builds for the cars themselves are a bit simpler than in the previous sets, but for the most part once they're built they have a similar scale and level of detail. In some cases, the Juniors sets actually gain certain details the previous sets lacked — for example, the Juniors version of Mack has a printed grille rather than a brick-built one, which means he can now include the Mack logo.

All in all, if you're buying them as parts packs or for the building experience, the Juniors sets are probably not as good. But if you're buying them because you want to own (or resell) LEGO versions of the characters, they're probably about as good as the previous versions. Certainly still more building-intensive than most minifigures!
