If someone has one and is interested in the money, they will sell it on ebay. If they have one and aren't interested in the money, then maybe maybe instead of giving it away for cost price, they will give it away for the next raffle.
I don't know why I find them intolerable. But lately they seem to be taking the place of actual sets at exclusive events like NYCC and SDCC.
Where once we had epic little sets like the SDCC Batmobile, SDCC Action Comics #1, and NYCC Landspeeder...we're now left with Brickheadz "twosomes" of Marvel or DC characters.
Yes, Boba and Carbonite Han is a cut above the rest and it's neat they are bringing Star Wars into the fold, but as a whole I find Brickheadz to be both unimaginative and uninspiring.
Rant over.
Look what popped up on S@H:

@BobaFett27 I have no clue, I’ll update you guys once he unboxes it on his channel. Who knows he might wait until NYCC is over and unbox it at home.

Anyone after coverage of the event I'd suggest looking at his Instagram feed. Loads of awesomeness!
@BobaFett27 I'd love to see that!

Also, I haven't been able to figure out the cutoff yet, but on some orders you can get 20% off by applying promo: PROMONYCC
I've been keeping a close eye on these and started to see them going for under $100 now, although signed versions going for a bit more, so still happy with my $130 purchase. :)
Ps. Given that Marcos was there signing all the sets, not sure why people wouldn't get them signed!

NYCC 2017
Thursday, October 5th
Having attended NYCC (New York Comic Con) for a few consecutive years, I guess I would consider myself a seasoned veteran and do not get as excited for the event as I used to. (There is plenty of walking and standing around; by the end of each day you are completely exhausted) Nevertheless, I made plans to attend NYCC and was lucky to be able to get a Pro badge for all 4 days of the event.
Thursday morning I arrived to the Javits Center about a half hour before the show floor opened. I was able to enter the building (but not the show floor) at that time with my Pro badge credential. I proceeded to snap photos of the attractions outside the show floor and eventually made my way just outside the building to the “inner roadway” where I saw a few food trucks lined up. To my surprise, that is where I found the LEGO “truck”.
Disguised as a food truck, the small LEGO shop was complete with large displays of Han Solo in carbonite from the exclusive Brickheadz set and an oversized Boba Fett helmet for fan photo ops. The “menu” of the truck contained previously released brickheadz sets as well as silhouettes of future brickheadz sets to be released. A rope line was set up just in front of the truck. Many employees were gathered around and allowed me to check everything out and take the photos you see below. Also at that time, I introduced myself to Marcos Bessa. A big fan of most of the sets he designed, I was able to have an informal chat with Marcos and talk about some of the highlights of his favorite sets. Apparently, the UCS falcon was hard to keep a secret with the model being carried around the halls from meeting to meeting.
I won a lottery ticket for the exclusive brickheadz set for the first time slot that Thursday morning. [In order to be able to purchase the Boba Fett and Han set, you first needed a valid badge for NYCC and then had to enter your email address into a virtual lottery online. This lottery system also applied for other exclusives such as Funko, as well as the main stage panels.] I was told a queue for the brickheadz set would not start for a few more minutes, so I decided to stay around the truck and continue to take more photos until it was time to queue up.
Unfortunately the sets were not organized in any particular order and I ended up with a random numbered set. Marcos was set up at a signing table next to the LEGO truck. After making my purchase (NYCC exclusive set and LEGO Batman Movie Joker Brickheadz), Marcos gladly signed my sets and took a few photos with me. Marcos also offered to take a photo of me wearing the oversized Boba Fett helmet.
After spending time at the LEGO truck, I proceeded back inside the Javits building to check out the other attractions and vendors on the show floor. There were a few smaller companies selling LEGO sets and minifigures but nothing really caught my eye as prices are usually inflated by the sellers to cover their cost of attending the show.
Overall, it was a great NYCC for me this year. I had an awesome AFOL experience and one I will never forget. Enjoy the photos. I also plan to build the exclusive brickheadz set and provide a review. Please also take a moment to check out my Instagram account and give a follow:
