Is there anything unique in that toysrus set?

I broke down and bought six of the Speed Champions sets at 20% off Sunday and yesterday. Had to ask them to match their web price in the store. Got a free Ninjago headband too :)

^I have been tempted to pick some of those up. I really like that Ferrari F1 car.
I did grab Marvel Super Heroes set #76067 from them for 30% off. I had been wanting that one for awhile and was happy to see it on sale.

Toys R Us has some sets on sale with promo code LEGOSALE. Some sets work out to half off.

Looks like prices have been adjusted, I can’t get the volcano base that low

Yep, they seemed to have fixed the glitch of doubling up discounts.

^it should, based on the past...

I doubt I'll go spend $75 on Lego, but I sure want to pick up those special Batsuits separately!
  • jmeninnojmeninno Member Posts: 1,214
^Ditto.  Here's to hoping that the store I go to will sell them outright...and include those numbers in the $75 purchase so I qualify for another one for free!

Where is everyone seeing these bricktober deals?  My Google'fu isn't working.

So, what promo figure set is up first? It would appear that it is the Ninjago one, but not sure.

Someone shared this link to the Canadian TRU calendar on EB. Hopefully the U.S. one is similar!

Yeah, that one shows a Ninjago event for this week, so you would think the first bricktober set would be the Ninjago set, which I think would make sense given the part numbers for these sets (I think the Ninjago is the lowest set number)

I know some folks that work there, looks like the first one is Ninjago, free with any LEGO construction purchase over $50 here in the states. At least that's what the signing they saw indicated. They didn't mention battle pods, that must be a Canada only thing.

Edit: to clarify, definitely Ninjago, should be a $50 threshold, no mention of battlepods, starts October 1st.

Hmmm...would you (or someone else) perhaps mind verifying TLBM figs are available starting this coming Friday, 10/6?  Many thanks in advance!

It should be Batman, but they will not be available until Sunday 10/8. In the states the TRU promotions always start on Sunday. My sources tell me TLG hasn't sent the next set yet. My store does everything by the book, so ymmv.

Interesting.  I figured because the Canadian version of the calendar said 10/6, that the US version (which I can't find) would follow the same date as well.  Thanks for the heads up!
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
Are the Bricktober figures only available via store, as I do not see them added to the cart at all online (unless Im missing a code to enter)
  • jmeninnojmeninno Member Posts: 1,214
Has anyone made the trek out today to TRI?  Just curious what promos and sales you're seeing (particularly in the US).  Any sight of an official US calendar?

@jmeninno went to store nothing good a few sets 20% off. Was the Ninjago set when you spent $50. Picked up the two Ninjago Brickheadz because they were still $9.99

I didn't see the Bricktober packs available on shelves. They pulled it out from behind the service counter.

I did see that all Lego Ninjago Movie sets seemed to be 20% off.

Went to a local TRU today.  They had the Ninjago set behind the counter, and the City set on the shelves.  No Batman sets.

I stopped by this morning for the same deal.  20% off was a nice surprise.

Apparently all of the TRUs in my area did not receive a shipment of the #5004938 set. Tried to replace it with a single TLBM minifigure, I walked out pretty irate.

That is pretty worrisome, I hope that this business with TRU owing money to LEGO is not going to make these insanely rare

My local store received 120 of the Ninjago sets. I believe they have received the last two (don't know the numbers for those), but they haven't received the Batman ones. I'm hoping that's not a supply issue, I think it is more of a trust issue (to prevent them being put out early).
  • MegtheCatMegtheCat Member Posts: 500
I don't trust my TRU not to sell the Batman set early if they have them. They did that with the Battle Pods & other various promos before.
  • FowlerBricksFowlerBricks Member Posts: 1,731
Ask and you shall receive, @Russell844
I'm bummed that I missed out on this build. It looks like one of the better freebies.

If I don't get the Batman set from TRU (either from being sold early or never receiving stock), I will officially be done with them.

I'll swing by my local TRU and report what I find.
Curious to see what is being stocked.

Called TRU customer service and they knew nothing about any gift with purchase at stores, total waste of time.  I have always been a supporter of TRU even after all of the problems, inconsistencies, and complaints, but that support is quickly eroding.  Ineptitude at it's finest!
  • Penkid11Penkid11 Member Posts: 788
Just to be clear, this promotion is only in store. $50 is going to be the threshold for getting the set for free each week throughout the month

^Was this the store's CS or a general TRU CS? I would try the store itself before writing them off.

Online there is/was no mention of the Bricktober minigfigure sets at all on TRU's website (or at least there wasn't when I checked Sunday). Previously the in-store promos have been listed under deals.

Sounds like your local stores are terrible. Gotta wonder if these stores have a lot of items are getting "lost" in shipping or are getting "lost" after they arrive at the store.

Generally bad stores are a result of bad management.

Plenty at one of my local stores. They were at the registers. Got L-loyd’s dragon for $39.99 and the two TLNM Brickheadz to go above the thresholds.

Both of my TRUs usually have the polys and things like the bat pod out for sale during the promo, but neither has ever had the bricktober stuff out.  I think they take that one a little more serious for whatever reason.

@eggshen - The Batman one is the only one I'm interested in. I'm counting on you to let me know when they get them in, so I don't have to keep checking across town :D

Always ask. Even though the Bricktober sets weren’t out at mine, they would’ve let me buy one for $19.99. I’ve only had one instance of them not allowing me to purchase the promo separately. Every other time, they’ve been cool with it.

I went Sunday and even tho they had the freebie, they refused to give it to me saying they have no info of the promo, even the manager.  I had to call another store who knew exactly what the promo was and I had to have them relay the info on the promo.  Then, when the employee rungodly it up, the promo popped up right there.  Great way to waste time while I have my 4 year old with me.  Worst part was when the employee was talking to the manager, I hear him say "it's probably a scam."  Not only do you know less about your promo than your customer, you also insult him by calling him a thief.

I thought they were 14.99 USD.. at 20 dollars Id rather buy a LEGO set (at actual retail of course) to get it.

I am out of town, and was worried my store would be out before I returned home.  Found a store here today, and after I got mine, they had 3 sets left.  I picked up an Elves set and managed to get an N-Pop Girl, to make my $50 spend.  Very disappointed that they did not have Ninjago Brick Headz in stock, but very happy I got the fig set.

I had already spoken to the store manager when I was in there, she started off by trying to give me an R3-M2 before a couple of associates grabbed a bunch of the TLBM CMFs to give me the opportunity to feel for one. So yea they had no clue at all about the promotion. This is store about a mile from the office where I just go in and browse a few times a month. The flagship store is also on my way home but decided to call first and they claimed they were out as well. Maybe I should have asked them if they sold out or never received any but by that point it didn't matter to me, I was done.
