So does this automatically open up rumour discussion for an upcoming roller coaster in the fairground line? Ya know... given the multiple new moods for that roller coaster.

Also funny how the track setup seems very similar to the old mono rail track setup.

Since I saw this on the main site I've been trying to think how you could use the crawler tracks with the little rubber bit in, on either side of the track, to pull the cart up the steep part and let gravity can do the rest.

I love it, but I'm gutted that some of the Friends Are Family figures are in such an expensive set. Also a little disappointed there isn't a cowl with moustache print for Alfred.

there's some great details like the box labelled WyldeStyle.

Of course the new coaster parts will cause a lot of discussion about the next creator expert fairground set, but that's already going on in the new parts discussion thread anyway.

Unfortunate timing for me, I can't justify buying it no matter how much I might want it.

Also it occurs to me that there might be some value on this as a parts pack for castle builders, if you can sell the minifigures and coaster parts it'll leave a lot of dark grey parts, a decent amount of dark red roofing slopes and a scattering of green parts for landscaping.

It would be interesting to see what kind of Wayne Manor MOCs people could make with this...

I would have to agree. I was really hoping that they would save those for the rumored upcoming CMF. Fingers crossed that they will include a few more of those end credits figures for the blind bags.

I'm with the 'not-so-sure-about-this-team'. I think I was expecting a real Wayne Manor to be released next year too much... I love all the small details in this set, but I really hope it'll be easy to make it into a normal Manor.
  • OrmskirkBricksOrmskirkBricks Member Posts: 265
Its DC which I don't collect, I'm not interested in a roller coaster, as I don't have any of the fairground creator stuff.  But look at the Disco minifigs...I need those...
  • legomentallegomental Member Posts: 370
Phew I absolutely don't feel the need to add this to the ever growing 'wanted' list. It just doesn't appeal for some reason but I can't really explain why.

I really only want the minifigs...

Aren't those sausages in the top of the 2 bombs either side of the entrance?

Both items on your wish list covered in one!

Looks like it'd be a really fun build.... And 3,444 elements.

Oh well, better add it to the list <sigh>

Yeah...I'm either gonna have to really save up VIP points or wait for a sale...but waiting for a sale scares me.

Something like this would have been in the pipeline when the movie came out.

Regardless, this is a pass for me. There are aspects I like, but there are like five other $150+ sets I would buy before even thinking about this one.

Would've been cool if it was a 2-in-1 kit to convert it to regular Wayne Manor with the giant fireplace and some more lobster thermidor. Of course you can mod it yourself, but still.

I like the set a lot, but I don't see where 3444 pieces are coming from. At most I can see maybe 2500 pieces in this set and not the amount it says it is. I am excited about the new roller coaster pieces though.

Does it have friction pins?  And will it hook into Ninjago City!?!?!?

I'm actually a bit disappointed we didn't get a huge building from the LEGO Movie.  (Emmet's apartment building would have been excellent.)  Anyway, this is an interesting set.  Not sure why its being released now.

I guess I really can't complain - since we did get a Sea Cow.

The more of these stupidly priced sets Lego release, the more I feel a second dark age coming on.

How is it stupidly priced? $270 for nearly 3500 pieces? Pretty good to me

While i would like to have gotten a proper Wayne manor I can see using this in an amusement park set up for lego city I'm going to get started on soon. It has a very nice roller coater/ house of mirrors feel to it. Ill probably get it but will probably wait until it goes on sale like the classic batcave. $270 is alot to spend right now after dropping $800 on the falcon.

Dark ages are good times to just focus on MOCs.

Might buy two and turn the second one into a proper Wayne Manor. Thinking of placing it out of my city limits, and on top of a batcave.(if I ever get to build my city that is.)

I have no interest in either the Ninjago or Batman movies. If I had to go for one of the flagship sets from either licensed, I think I'd go for Ninjago City as a set. Yet for MOCs / parts packs, this one looks pretty good value after selling off the superfluous licensed parts - the roller coaster parts should sell easily and the figures should keep their value (unlike the Ninjago City ones).

I'm not sure what to think.  It's pretty neat, but expensive.  They are really loading up on the large Lego Batman Movie sets.  This is the fifth over 1000 pieces correct?  And I'm sure the Space Shuttle set will be a sixth?  In a little over a year and a half?  Craziness.

We are in the golden age of large Lego sets. Enjoy it before the bubble burst. :-D
  • playwellplaywell Member Posts: 2,304
^ Yes but how many of us are enduring it now rather than enjoying it.
  • sonsofscevasonsofsceva Member Posts: 542
I love the graffiti box. The set is garish, but exactly what the LEGO Joker would do to Bruce's place. I don't know if I want it, but it is really creative!

But, Stickers! So many stickers! Why *sobs*? I am the worst person at putting on stickers. For things like family portrait tiles, they will forever hang crooked on any LEGO wall in any LEGO house I built, and that would drive me crazy.
  • Mr_CrossMr_Cross Member Posts: 1,688
I want a Wayne Manor and I'd like the roller coaster in another colour... so, think it would have to be on quite a serious reduction for me.

Yep. This is being added to the to buy list. I love everyting about this set. The exterior is so eye popping.
It's $400 AU for fellow Aussies out there.
  • daewoodaewoo Member Posts: 814
I like the set and can see a lot of different ways to incorporate the parts into other things, but as said above, I would rather have the track pieces in a neutral color.  Maybe there is hope for a Creator coaster next year.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
There has to be a money making opportunity for someone who can put stickers on straight!

"Just send us your tiles and stickers, and for the low, low price of just £14.95 + p&p, we'll return your items stickered up straight and air bubble free!  Why spend years looking at your Lego sets with a sense of disappointment and self-loathing?  Just send your pieces to 'Stickeriffic!' and let us put you straight!"

I doubt it. Can you imagine the complaints from people - if they are willing to pay for their stickers to be attached, then some are going to be absolute perfectionists likely to complain about the tenth of a millimetre off-centering determined using their microscope.
