@sidersdd, postage is astronomic to the states on sets. will get back to you on ninjago over weekend. no other western sets there.
Went back today and picked up the rest. i also took a camera and took some pics of what else was there. The 5938 sets have an adventure story on cassette included (in German)
What I took home:
Off brand , but cool
What's still there - the last pic of batman and the train, these sets were returned as incomplete / faulty and have been rebagged.
the matchbox pic uploaded in error (they are all rare german market only versions from late 90s) this pic should have loaded instead - i didnt buy these either. They had another 4 factory cases of NHL sets(48 sets per case...)
@brick builder - original retail plus a "discount", we cant pay in DM anymore ;-)
ANYTHING BELOW THE PIC OF THE BEETLE IS STILL AT THE STORE!!!
The studio sets were at the original price, ie more than you can get them for on ebay, so I left them ;-)

I'll be building it in the coming weeks. I was lucky to get it for a very reasonable price.
When I got mine, I got it for $175... 3 days before it was discontinued. Luckiest find of my LEGO career!
Very cool, so what did you pay for it??? :) (if we can ask)
A few thoughts about your blog post...
It actually has 5197 parts, not the misreported 5195 parts, the second edition printings had the part count on the boxes (see box picture of one of my sets) (speaking of this, can @huw or someone please fix the Brickset database on this, the set has 5,197 parts, the original press release was either wrong or they changed it before production).
It is the second largest Lego set by part count, Taj Mahal has the highest part count at 5922 parts. This set is the largest Star Wars Lego set. That being said, UCS Falcon does indeed have more parts by weight than Taj Mahal, so in that regard it might be the heaviest, if not the physically largest or highest part count set.
It was discounted to $375, not $350, on two occasions... Both were the "May the 4th be with you..." promotions when it was 25% off, or $375.
You ended up with the Collectors Edition which has the Certificate of Authenticity, only 10,000 of these sets were made, my understanding is that they sold out rather quickly in 2007 when this first came out. Have you looked to see what number you have yet?
Please do post some pictures and a review when you build it, I have been hemming and hawing over building this one. I don't have a "used" set to build, and like you, am having a hard time justifying opening a new one. I have been unable to find a deal I like on a used one either, lucky you!!!!!
I got it for less than $700. I am thrilled to have gotten it at such a reasonable price compared to what they are selling for across the aftermarket.
$700? Wow, you got a deal! Very cool!!! :)
