I wierd thing is that when it is nice out, and even warmer than usual, the malls around me typically have less people, not more, in them (but yet the parking lot still appears to be loaded)
    Is there a stadium nearby?
What about public transportation station (subway, train, etc.)?

They have the wedding set at $4.99 limit 2 again
Both S17 (limit 32) and TLBM (limit 40) at $3.19 - TLBM is a better deal versus BrickLink prices, but both are about breakeven
#70910 at $15.99 is okay especially if you want the pizza parts. Ordered 2 of those, 2 40165 and 3 TLBM bags to get the cave couple.

The weather didn't stand out last I went. It was busy, but not so crowded I couldn't move around (Eastview Mall store is relatively small with a narrow entrance)
Is there a problem with your vehicle A/C? Some days it's so hot it's painful to just go to and from the bus stop.

I have no idea why this is meant for me as I was not complaining it was hot out.

#5004932, the travel guy from a few months ago, seems to be added to any order, along with #30428 on any $35 order

Sales and Deals highlight is #40161 for $23.99. I want the woman doctor for my hospital MOC and forgot to save any from previous copies. solid part out ratio (about 2.5), high items per lot (so easy to sort and can offer high quantities), flap box that can be reused for storage, sold well before.

when I tried to apply VIP points, promos and free shipping disappeared from cart. I'll use points later rather than wait for it to get corrected.

There is a Ninjago poster (apparently similar to the MF ones over the weekend for Force Friday) on offer if you buy any Ninjago item. It did not add with a CMF however. Oh well.

That free LEGO Learning set is very cute if you have a toddler who's just getting into LEGO and letters and numbers. Nothing fancy, most of it is a white 8x8 plate and 20 1x1 bricks, but my grandson really enjoyed assembling and showing off each letter.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,354
Got my 2 #40161, #5004932 and #30428 today. Only about a third of the box was airbags and even that made sense to fit the promos in with the 40161's. Who did that, and what have they done with the S@H warehouse staff? :P

Now #5004933 Build to Learn is added to cart with any order. Not worth as much for resale/parts but looks like a good gift for a kid just old enough for LEGO. 40161 is still on sales and deals. #40165 is back. 2 of those and a 40161 is just under $35. For me a TLNM CMF did add the poster to cart. I wasn't sure whether I wanted 2 more 40161 but I will do this.

So S@H has some more stuff on sale. The latest Dimensions sets seem to be on sale for 50% off (Ghostbusters/TLBM starters, Goonies, MI level pack Knight rider, Excalibur batman, etc), as well as some other TLBM sets, like Scarecrows special delivery. Looks like the ATeam pack is already out of stock, possilby done being produced at this point.

@Infinityman the TLBM posters are 14x20 in (35.4x51 cm) and I suppose this one is the same size. They came folded in quarters and I kept them that way since that fits easily into 8.5x11 sleeves
  • JooTogJooTog Member Posts: 945
The Ninjago poster is not folded and is 17" x 22".

5004933 still being included with any order, 40161, 40165 and S17 still on sale but TLBM CMF out of stock. I have plenty of LEGO right now so I'll pass.

Just looked at the October calendar
10th-25th 2x VIP on everything and a #40178 with a $125 purchase (mini model of a LEGO Store and VIP card)
All month #40266 on a $25 Friends purchase (~100 piece storage box) not a huge draw but I'm not the target market. Maybe I'll get one for an Xmas gift during 2x VIP if I'm close to $125

@JooTog seemed like a good guess on my part, but thanks for the correct answer.

Another example of how awesome Lego customer service is/can be: I did the order survey for my missing orders & the first question is "Did your order arrive?". After answering "NO" I was encouraged to contact CS, which I did through chat. After checking on the shipments from her end she decided to reship the orders, supposedly with all the promo items except for the MF posters. If and when the original shipments arrive I will be allowed to keep the promos & ship the sets back. Personally I would have preferred a kick-in-the-rear to Fed-Ex.

BTW, these orders are the ones I ordered for Force Friday. Fed-Ex is still behind because of Hurricane Harvey, although I see that @M_Boss seems to have received his order (lucky duck!). And my order for the #30428 is on the move, maybe because it was sent SmartPost.

Order with Ninjago poster arrived on the 13th. Nice thick paper, whereas the TLBM posters are thin and glossy. It was folded, but 17x22 quartered means it exactly fits a 8.5x11 holder

I think LEGO over estimated the demand, same with what they did for LEGO Movie and LEGO Batman.

I think Lego is falling into a pattern they dont want to be in...and that is when your customers start to expect discounts.  Right now, I expect most retail items to be at some point 20% off or greater.  Why should we ever buy at MSRP again?

You know what the enviable answer to that is: raise price by 20%.

so 20% looks like it's on sale but it's what they want you to pay

Yep,  that is what they do.  The MSRP is for day one lego fan...I call it the Lego Fanatic Tax or LFT, lol.  The 20% off is more in line to what a casual buyer will pay.  Also at the end, when we see 50% off sales, they are more like just 30% off.

But I dont think any company wants buyers to expect clearance for their products as a buying habit.  ' Cuz that has been my mindset for the last few years.

Even at those clearance prices, I even balked at paying 50% off for Baze Malbus and Chirrut Emwe constractions at Target. 75%, then we're talking! lol

Apparently some of these promos are not overly popular if they are now giving them away after-the-fact. I wound up with 6 of the travel suitcases, much to my dismay. I barely wanted the one I received when the promo originally was on with the launch of the Saturn V.

Got the Lloyd figure, Friends Keepsake box, Friends tic-tac-toe game and the caveman set with my order this morning.  They may not be desirable but I love me some freebies.  Website was giving me all kinds of errors though.....I just can't believe how bad their site is.

Wound up getting the seasonal sets for Thanksgiving and the two Christmas ones, along with a couple of ornaments (as one with the little house is 2 dollars only), and the Friends set to get the 4 promos. ( as @Hanzo notes: Lloyd figure, Friends Keepsake box, Friends tic-tac-toe game and the caveman set )

Yep, see it now.  The site is so bad, sometimes you see the promo, other times you don't.  Sometimes you can see set images during checkout, other times just the set number.

On a mobile device, I tried modifying quantity of my 4th item and no matter what I tried, it would only keep modifying the quantity of the first item.  Had to give up and use a desktop to finally submit correctly.

I had the same issue on mobile. The work around I found was to search the item and add to chart, to order multiples.
