    Was able to use my rewards online a few weeks ago. Looks like no more trips to buy stuff a toysrus anymore.

    Wow that sucks.  That will pretty much kill shopping at Toys 'R Us for me unless I'm trying to pull a price match on something on sale that I can't get at the store with the sale.  Thanks for the heads up will have to see if I have any to use to try and burn them online.

    I got my coupon a few weeks ago and noticed it excluded Lego. I tried it out in the store anyway. The cashier said it was the first time he’d seen the Lego exclusion. The system wouldn’t allow the discount so he called over the manager. The manager had also not yet seen the new rule. She was annoyed because she apparently uses a lot of reward points on Lego also. She ended up doing a manager override for me.

    As long as they don't exclude LEGO from their price match program I'm good. I generally use the rewards points for TMNT, Playmobil, or Transformers for my kids.

    if they exclude it from the price match then i'll literally never walk into another toys r us again...without that match their prices are almost never comparable to other places

    I went tonight to grab my first TLJ set in #75187 . I was able to use the credit card 10% discount and I had 10 bucks in rewards to bring it down to $87.39 out the door. I guess it all depends on who you deal with at checkout and how you treat them to get discounts pushed through.

    I walk into TRU and ask around for #40268. Guest services had them, and gave me one for free, without any purchase!

    ^^Those vehicles make me think of the strider creatures from the Dark Crystal. Also, I did not realize they were supposed to be that much bigger than a standard AT-AT.

    The Dark Crystal - One of my favorite movies ever! I wish my MOCing skills were any good to spawn a few items.

    The TRU version of the Ninjago Rock Raider is $15 at my local. The regular version is still full price, though. Just in case anyone wants a Lil' Nelson.
    Also, still plenty of Ninjago Minifigs 2 for $5, and they counted for the free R2. Plus those movie posters! A rare good day at TRU!

    AITOO or is ToysRUs.com's mobile site turned to crap recently?  There used to be a dedicated landing page for LEGO that would let you select by theme. That's gone now, replaced by queries with irrelevant results. Attempting to further toggle through themes, results in incomplete queries.  As in, there are 9 sets of something, buts it's only showing three.

    I think I need to burn through my remaining gift cards and completely write off TRU.

    As I said, now it's a massive query. Which requires several more UI interactions to filter down compared to the prior version. It's more akin to the travesty that is Shop @ Home continues to be.

    Just got my BB-8 used my 30 bucks which the manager had to issue an override for but seemed oblivious to the Lego exclusion

    @sonsofsceva Do you know if there's a limit to how many minifigs you can buy at $5 for 2? I went to my local TRU and the only thing I saw was an empty box of Disney minifigs with a 2 for $5 label attached. No Ninjago Movie minifigs at all, which is what I was looking for :-/

    @GeordiePaul I am pretty sure the deal ended on Saturday last week, some kind of labor day sale.  The TRUs in my neck of the woods has been very inconsistent with stocking CMFs over the last couple of series.

    ^^Second week in a row someone has inquired about a TRU sale after it has ended. Typically they run Sunday-Saturday in a given week, unless it's a two day or weekend special sale.

    Speaking of stale TRU sales, I missed out on the R3-M2 promo poly from a couple of weeks ago but finally got the chance to hit up a store yesterday that still had a bunch in a random basket behind the CS desk.  In case anyone is still looking for one, you can probably still find them like I did.

    I think the TRU item number is 814240--that's the number I gave them to help locate them in the stock room.

    I simply brought up a picture of it on my phone and the person at the CS desk knew what it was.  So, you can try that as well.

    Apparently some of TLBM line is on sale there as well. Including the Arkham Asylum for 105

    I visited my local store on my way to work and, starting today, they have a movie ticket promo with $40 on LEGO purchases (any theme). The promo is similar with the one they did for TLBM.

    TRU had a great make and take today of a red pagoda shrine for Ninjago, and also cloth headbands promoting the movie.

    Man - I think we'll see some super TLNM and TLBM deals/clearance coming, not just from TRU, but other retailers as well. Obviously TLBM first, but I may have to save some pennies as I love the part selections for both lines.
