    Here's the deal

Some random store in Taiwan grabbed pictures of "10256", "10259", and "75192" from Google.

They are placeholders but this is apparently some sort of preorder form. I don't know of a 10256 coming. I think it was cancelled. 10259 is the upcoming Winter Village set. NOT my Mall of America LEGO Store MOC.

What's interesting is that they list a 70922 CONFIDENTIAL_Batman Movie 2018_D2C coming soon too. There is no 70922 in the normal set range so it sounds correct to me. Stash2Sixx (who has given us the most information on the upcoming Falcon thanks to his sources at LEGO!!) claims it's a Wayne Manor and is coming out at the same time as the Falcon.. which is not true

We've seen that LEGO has provided retailers with information on upcoming D2Cs before (remember how we first heard about Assembly Square) so it's possible they've been informed on the details on upcoming releases?

Someone provided me with the full picture...

Yup. That's the same pic I found, but two of the boxes were taped over.

^ It's not a bad thing to keep everyone on their toes.  And it'll make the actual reveal a surprise.

And maybe, just maybe it keeps the designers from being boring about the 'explosion art' featuring a LEGO set.

This has definitely been one of the more hyped sets in a long time and even Lego is ramping up the hype sending out little flyers saying "largest Lego set ever". Lego has also done a very good job keeping the pictures a secret seeing that it's about a week until press release and no real leaks.

My question is what's next after this?? Will the next UCS be another remake, SSD or ISD, or something completely new?

^ UCS bust of Jar Jar Binks. It'll be full-size, using only 2x4 bricks.

Nah, no minifigs - they would detract from the purity of the set ;)

Of course, all the stickers would be STAMPs. ;)

    I hope not.

This one needs to be life size and full body, not just a bust.

I'd love to see some year-2007-posts where people huffed and puffed about the first UCS Falcon being 100 or 200 dollars, pounds, whatevers too much and skipped it.

I believe the original was still more expensive than 10188 at $500.

I disagree. I will only by this set if it contains a minifigure wearing an XXXL Boba  Fett costume with sounds:

    "You raped my childhood"
"George Lucas doesn't care about me"
"Real Star Wars fans like me.."

Is there any chance of another teaser tomorrow, or have they already revealed as much as they're going to before September 1st?

I hope we get a teaser tomorrow, but I don't know what it would be about. If it was a Silhouette of the ship then next week may not have one until Friday.

One good thing about all this hype. It allowed me to think things through, which I don't do as often as I need to with LEGO. Said the man who spent money on an Angler Attack, Lone Ranger Set and was rifling through a set I got from the year 2000 even...all last week.

Not gonna get this right away, whatever it is. Gonna use the socked away cash and more to get the 2015-2017 sets that I want before they go away, get more caught up.

OK, resume discussion. Just thought it interesting that hype can cool a purchase fever.

Does anyone know the UK Force Friday deals? I have to fly to the US that weekend, but if you can get the Scarif Trooper with ANY Star Wars purchase (like with the R2 unit last time and as opposed to the $50 spend in the US), it MIGHT be enough for me to delay my flight by a day just so I can hit up one of the London Lego stores.
  • BrainsluggedBrainslugged England (the grim North)Member Posts: 1,517
I just contacted one of the London stores and he said they wouldn't know about any Force Friday deals till about August 25th. Seems a little late to be getting news of a big promo starting just a week later.

Probably not the best thread for this, but I haven't received that mailer yet. Thought I saw a photo that the UCS TIE Fighter will be 20% off? Odds they discount the Slave 1 too?
Also, does the Lego [email protected] site get updated at midnight or is there typically a lag. Not sure how these things work. Sorry for my noobness

I would guess just the TIE but who knows. Midnight should be when it updates but it almost always crashes or other assorted nonsense whenever a big event goes live.

Thanks. Yeah that site is rather "buggy" imo

^ and ^^ I had to call the morning of when Ninjago City went on sale.  I had tried from midnight to 1 AM trying to purchase it but it never showed the add to bag button.

I informed the customer service lady and she told me that it is not something that is done automatically (which you would think it would be pretty easy to code the system to make X set available at X date and X time).  But instead, someone manually "pushes" the set to be available and they did not do it the night before or just messed it up and had to "redo" it that morning.

I find this pretty interesting, we all knock jokes on TLG and their online capabilities (slim to none) but thats one thing you would think would be easy for them to do?

On the flip side, imagine being that person who gets to push all the sets to availability at the right time?

    So 7,541 pieces then. Can't wait - £699 or £749 most likely?

All this teasing is making me go from 'I don't care how it looks I'll buy it anyway somewhere next year'  to 'give me this set on release date'

Do the pieces shown in the teaser change anything? It's just a lot of tan and black bricks..

Alright, I've just talked to a Lego Store employee and preordered the Falcon xD

He also told me that all they know is that the Falcon will cost 799,99€, will have around 8000 pieces and will weigh 15kg.
They will order 40 of them to one Lego Shop and 20 People in each Shop have the possibility to preorder one and pick one up from September 14th to October 1st. (I am third in line! :D)

Somewhere around September, there should also be 3x VIP points because of the 40th anniversary. Fingers crossed that it'll be around September 14th!

No. They're all Tan and Dark Grey 2x4 bricks. Probably 7541 of them.

I think the tan bricks are signifying the Taj Mahal, and they grey bricks the new Star Wars set.

Surely the BIG question that people should be asking is :

"Will the bags be numbered or blank, like the original UCS?"

    Fun times sorting those pieces!

Some poor intern had a lot of fun counting out those 2 x 4's...
So I'm thinking that even with modern building techniques and all, they couldn't get away with adding 2346 pieces without a significant interior, right?

Is Millenium Falke related to Guy Falke or Peter Falke?  And does that come with free socks?!?
