I have two Lego statuses (stati?) today:

1: Suffering from Technic withdrawal - it's been almost a year since I last built anything Technic, and I am missing it :( - I'll hopefully get #42069 when it comes out

2: Struggling with a dilemma - after deciding to do a Brickheadz Daredevil (Netflix version) for the contest, I can't decide who to pair him with:
    Daredevil and Punisher:

Daredevil and Elektra (Stud.io got an update and is playing even less ball with LDD files, and I can't be bothered actually building on it, so no renders for this one):

    Help me!!!
  • Matt89190Matt89190 Member Posts: 307
^Just tried to fix Stud.io with some pro hacker-y magic with files and stuff and.... completely broke it. Computers are not my strong point....
  • Matt89190Matt89190 Member Posts: 307
Managed to get it working by completely deleting and re-installing Stud.io, so here you go:

    Daredevil and Elektra:

    or

    Daredevil and Punisher:

    Which should I go with?

    ^I'd vote for Punisher!

Elektra is more unique and shows off your building techniques better with the hair and mask. I would pick that for the contest even though I really like the punisher too.

Came up with a solution: two entries!

Thanks for the help and advice anyway! :)

Today I spent a couple of hours talking with Sophie and Gaetan (two AFOLs from Beiguim) at the LEGO Flashsip Store, Leicester Square. Had an awesome time, it felt like a tease of what's to come with exibiting at BrickLive, London next week.

@SumoLego As there's less/no Lego in the room left, isn't that a defeat instead?

My friend, when did you become a glass-half-empty person?  (Look at all of that prime real estate for new acquisitions and hoard...er... collecting!)

When you can't decide what colour brick to get to display your Brickset minifig:

@bandit778 Minifigforlife only had the bricks at this month's Bricktastic (or hey were out by the time I got to them?)

Maybe I'll politely ask @Huw next time I meet him ;)

    Hm. Brickset minifig. Must acquire...

Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my Bricklink order at "Counterfeit checking" customs. However I'm currently queueing for eye surgery because I rolled my eyes out of their sockets at the "Slubbin TOWN" sets for sale at one of the local car part stores. :|

The children refuse to get them out of the storage shed.  Thus, compromise.

LOL! Glad I'm not the only one that had to chock the wheels on their Tumbler.  A word of caution though, those tires are SOFT!  You may want to rotate the tire ever so often, or move the chock to a different wheel.  It will leave an indentation after a while.

Thanks for the heads up about the tyres although it probably won't be on display for much more than a couple of months as that's only one of two areas I have to display built sets and the At-St I built a while back is on the other one so one of them will have to come down before I get too engrossed building something else.

Well, I had two hours to rearrange my Lego boxes in the storage room upstairs. Thought I'd be pushing it, but maybe get it done in time before the children returned home. After 2 1/2 hours I realised that I was nowhere near done, with various sets all over the floor, some with zip-lock safety measures, others without, some arranged by size, others by theme, and definitely not enough space to put them away in the way I'd wanted. So in the next 15 minutes I managed to shove them all back in without squashing them, and now they're left for another day...

But on the plus size I found 2 smallish sets that were BNIB that I'll be building soon. Very soon. Hopefully. Sooner than the storage will be sorted, anyway.

After grabbing a cheap #60151 from Sainsburys on the way home from work, I had to divert off to a couple of roads over from us after spotting a couple of crates of assorted LEGO on a FB group. The woman selling wanted it gone asap and said open to offers. She suggested £10 to somebody so I leapt in with £15 having only seen a small picture and offered to get it straight away.....

....on the right is half full of random Bionicle stuff (destined for the marketplace as I have no idea or want for it really) and a small Technic set. On the left is ¾ full with all sorts. I've spotted minifigures from some Batman sets, Antman, Ironman, Guardians of the Galaxy, a sail from some ship and maybe even the BTTF Delorean. I shall be upending the lots later to investigate!

    Quite chuffed.
That is quite the find! I think I spy the old Destiny's Bounty sail in there...

I resisted going to TRU to get the discounted Wonder Woman set! I'm somewhat proud of myself, but also conscious that my resistance had a lot to do with being tired and having to look after the pennies right now.

That said, there's no reason at all that I shouldn't dig a set out of the cupboard upstairs to build.... :)

Still my favorite 'new' word since I joined the Forum.
I concur, and will share today's "quite chuffed" post of the day:
The lot of vintage's bricks that I purchased for the pictured for the black 190SL (missing windshield, but steering wheel intact) arrived today, and a dark grey 220S emerge from the depths, both with garages:
Also, are vintage mis-molds (logo missing from a stud) or random-oriented logos considered an error:

Are they listed on Bricklink anywhere? Are they considered rare or worth more than a standard brick of that era and condition?

In a continuation of the trawl through the two boxes I bought. I've found a lot of the parts from the Guardians of the Galaxy sets from the first film #76019 and #76020 including most of the figures. Also the remains of Hulkbuster and Antman giant flying ant.

There were also a few purple bricks and frames kicking around which look to belong to #4866 Knight Bus. Found minifigures from that too.

I'd personally love to see someone try their hand at a Plymouth Superbird/Dodge Daytona MOC at the Speed Champions scale.

£200 worse off, but now have plugged all the holes in my Technic 2016 / 1H 2017 collection.  With John Lewis prices plus staff discount, picked them up at anywhere between 25% and 48% off RRP.

Must stop ogling the new 2H releases, although I am loving that 6x6 truck.

Testing my willpower!  Last 4 sets on my want list from this years Star Wars sets all 27% off at Amazon.  Can't really justify getting all 4 at once (when did that ever stop me?) so will make do with the cheapest 2 for now #75167 Bounty Hunter Battle Pack and #75168 Yoda's Jedi Starfighter.  Guessing I should've kept that Amazon Voucher I spent last week.

Trying to blind feel a box of TLNM minifigs I quite bullishly claimed I could separate out.

As an experiment, I'm trying to find out what impact various drinks have on my fondling-fu. For science!

    Starting with still water:

BUT, for SCIENCE! So carry on ;)

No worries @stlux. I'm building up slowly.

Slow progress using still water. 16 bags done, moving to some slightly posh lemonade - San Pelegrino Limone e Menta.
