Do you have extra studs on the inside edge of the table behind the buildings? When I started my city, I widened the sidewalks.
Like the gas station. A modular-scale one is on my list.
Nothing is as fun as ordering 1000 2x2 gray tiles and still running out. (I am still holding out hope that those will appear on the PaB wall someday!)
I finally finished my second 7347 alternative build. It's a Tyrrell P34, the only 6 wheel car to ever win a Formula 1 Grand Prix (Sweden, 1976).

As you can see, I have the wider sidewalks.
Been working on this model on LDD for a couple weeks and it's finally feeling close to finished. Some kind of cyborg girl.
I know that there's no way for minifigs to access the second apartment but I decided I didn't care. :P
This is what I built the last couple of nights after work. Dunno what I love more, Croc's vintage head or the truck! Lots of fun, and aesthetically pleasing. :)
Actually a sausage and bun were one of the first things I put apart, but by the time I was happy with the modifications and took the picture I forgot about them. Was going to include a minifig for scale also. Next time.
(I must confess I cheated and looked up the windows in the database....)
So, as all things Lego Batman are awaiting to be pushed aside by The Ninjago Movie sets, I thought I'd revitalise my Batman mojo and break out the proper Ultimate Batmobile.
Haven't got very far. In fact I didn't even get to finish putting together all the bag 1's, even with the help from what has got to be my favourite version of the Joker. I get the feeling this may take me a while but I think I'm going to enjoy the wait to the finished build. :)
Decided to have some continued fun of mixing all the bags together. Greatly looking forward to what the GBHQ has to offer.
The new front blocks the stud shooters from firing, and while I'm not bothered by that in itself I'm not entirely sold on how the armour looks, so it may change. That's one of the new gattling shooters on the back standing in for a thruster - the studs-on-side brick beneath it keeps the barrels from rotating, so it doesn't accidentally fire.
I was impressed with the AT-ST, although I wish the legs had some movement. I'm guessing that would have caused some stability issues though.
Darth Vader's Transformation has some nice play features, but I 100% admit my interest in the set was due to the figs.
So I was feeling sorry for my Justice League, standing around on their plain black bases while the Avengers have New York to pose in front of (Daily Bugle, Avengers Tower, Brooklyn Bridge, and my homemade Baxter Building, it's a nice little scene) so I thought I'd make them something Super Friendly:
Based on the old Kenner Super Powers Hall of Justice, filtered through the usual process of using whichever pieces were convenient (spot the one I couldn't find a duplicate of and gave up because it's getting late... it'll turn up sooner or later).
Before:
Now:
Took my old 180x80cm desk and used it as "legs" for the new 250x175cm layout.
up next: finding time to set up the legos and get more legos to fill it all out :)
...but it's doing what it needs to do. The interior's going to be getting a general overhaul as well, I just wanted to get this locked down before I got lost in details inside.
Illogical design, but whatever, it's more in the vein of 'scenic base' than a proper building; given all the minifigs milling around on my Marvel New York shelf I'd always had the Sanctum set up on stilts to lift it into clear view, but previously it was literally just up on stilts (a few of those girder-column pieces), which I'd had to hide at ground level with a smaller building in front (the Homecoming ATM kiosk recently). In memoriam, the old version of the Architecture Guggenheim gave its life so I'd have enough tan bricks to finish the facade, while the sandy green suggestion of the roof up top came from a Monster Hunters car (which I'd been looking for an excuse to dismantle anyway). And if you have this set you'll know that over on the left, beneath the trunk, is where the 'Shamballa' card is, so that's where I put the wifi.
Four BrickLink orders later and the cyborg girl WIP I shared earlier this month is nearly complete! Just need to pick up some parts at BrickFair Virginia next week to finish building the shins and hair and changing the hair color to Medium Azur. She also poses pretty well which is good because I was worried these joints might not be able to support the weight of an 18-inch-tall figure. Can't stand her on one foot but I think I'll just have to live with that.
Took a #60047 and shrunk it down and made it modular. It was too wide and we had run out of room on our little Lego street so I made it fit a regular baseplate.
As usual, ran out of parts. My 5 year-old likes it though.
^ That's cool - I've just built the other Ragnarok set:
Not...the...end of the WORLD Ragnarok...but the...oh never mind.
And to the LEGO sets.
All these amazing builds...and I built...this...LOL. Didn't bother to nameplate it. Thinking of making some more and doing a larger backdrop like one of those Kenner Early Bird backdrops. Something where I could put a group of 12 minifigs.
