.. Are all the figures in the box? Last I checked, no stores typically get the Bat cave, which likely means a return, which also means the there is a good chance the figures are missing.

Well color me silly, my apologies. That is a good deal, as long as they pack the set in a shipping box (hopefully).
If I had not already gotten a couple with double points I would probably pull the trigger on it.

Seeing summer star wars wave on clearance at several nearby stores via the app. $54 Rathdar, $19 Republic Tank, $35 Quad Jumper. So weird.

Bah, not having any luck at my local Walmarts.  I used some site that said one near me had 2 of the Kylo Ren Shuttles for $30 but I went and asked and they said nope.  Do you guys normally find stuff moved to their clearance isles (if they have them) or are these just normal in isle rollback prices?
  • BillyBricks84BillyBricks84 Member Posts: 355
^ Around me, the clearance is usually still in the main LEGO aisle, but I have found random sets in their general clearance area before.
  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,560
    ^^ Gotta check both.
  • CaptainRogersCaptainRogers Member Posts: 869
It usually starts on the Lego aisle and eventually migrates to clearance. At least that's what I've seen happen around me. Like it says above, check both.
  • HanzoHanzo Member Posts: 607
K, I'll keep digging around the clearance isle, was just wondering if I was wasting my time.  Thanks all.

    But you're in NC.

I'm grateful for those BSF members who include their geographic location with their ID or in their posts.

Bay Area (NorCal) really doesn't see a lot of these deals. Maybe in the valley and more remote, outside of major metro areas do. Even if they do happen to pop up, the stock on hand is so unreliably low, it's a waste of gas many of times to go searching.

can't agree more  sometimes may have luck  but some of the store inventory counts are off.  even though if you use brickseek to check and show in stock,  but in the real world,  they don't!

If you're looking for the SKU, look up the item on the Walmart website. The SKU will be the number at the end of the URL.

Mighty Micros at $5 in my area. And seen the $99 Ultimate Batmobile at multiple locations.

^^ Also, I've found that Target's website lists the UPC in a clear way, so you can grab it from there even if you're not looking up Target prices.

reminds me of using Amazon to look up ISBNs even when I'm not intending to buy the book there.

    #10737 $11

$11 for a $15 MSRP set is usually okay, but Juniors sets are way overpriced per part so more of a discount is necessary. Normally those parts would be no more than $10 MSRP, so $6 would be a great deal. 40% off usual MSRP, 60% off Juniors MSRP

I saw one at $5, about the discount it takes to make them worthwhile for parts, but many were at $7.

Actually #41316. Upon closer examination I'll pass. Part value not quite high enough. many pieces in new colors (seems likely for prices to go down).

@canon03 For Walmart just use their own app to find local pricing. If it gives an aisle location it is almost certain to be there. You can also scan upcs in store instead of trying to find the one working price scanner in housewares on the other side of the store.

Thanks, I'll try that next time.

I also know exactly what you mean about trying to find a price scanner.  Wandering around aimlessly with a huge LEGO box in hopes that maybe, just maybe the next isle will be the one with the price scanner.

Yeah, not a good price for parting out. The Mr. Freeze minfigure is a new unique one, which is why I purchased it.

I did this for a long time before I finally realized there is a price scanner 2 aisles over from the Lego aisle - duh!

At the store near me, there's a price scanner at the paint counter which is a few aisles over from toys. It wasn't working last night. I don't know where any other scanners are besides schlepping it to a register.
Often when there's empty shelf space, stores fill the space by spreading out other items, but don't change the price tags. Borders on deceptive advertising.

Saw #70917 with a $99 tag at my store, talked to Goldchains about picking up one for him

  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,560
Stores near me usually mount price scanners on a roof support post and have a sign as well. But that doesn't mean it will be working. Last time I checked the Bloomington store, all the scanners were missing! I was able to take a box to the photo counter near electronics and have them check it for me. Employees also have hand-held scanners, but my experience is they take a while to figure out how to do it.

@Bumblepants, thanks for the reminder about the app. I'll have to try that again.

Use your phone and the Wal-Mart app as your price scanner. Why carry sets anywhere?

Finally found an app my cheap cell-phone can't handle. Tried using the scanner in the Walmart app on my Huawei Honor 5X yesterday, but the scanner part of the app does not work. Will have to try loading it on my old Galaxy Note and see if that works. Picked up #41180 Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle yesterday for $40, not much else on sale locally.

I vacationed this last week and was in an area with a lot of Walmarts. It was a balance of enjoying the trip and checking local stock. Brickseek got me excited with two Kyle Ren Command Shuttles for $30 a piece at one store. I must have spent close to an hour rummaging through every aisle, behind every box, and any other hiding place I could think up trying to find them. To no avail. Walmart fails me again...

I did pick up the Beauty and Beast Brickheadz though for $7/each.
