Strikes me as odd that they don't have the set names printed on them.
    Yeah, or the part count
Don't European boxes normally omit those elements? I know that the part count, at least, normally doesn't appear on those boxes, but I don't remember if set names are normally featured or not.
Set names should be there. I think recent years some European boxes may also have the parts count on them.

Could be the subcontractors printing for them forgot to include?

I've experienced such incidents in my workplace back then, whereby the sample product box printing came back with errors or missing info etc, usually we will ask them to make corrections. Maybe TLG felt the errors are minor (i.e. Non-legal binding) and hence let them through.

Really @CM4S? I thought the Temple was $100. I guess I shouldn't complain about $80 though, I'll just price match your forum post. That's how it works, right? ;)

    - I'm with Recce on this one - immediate thought upon seeing the pics was incorrectly printed boxes.  I'm also pretty sure that within Denmark, TLG could sell LEGO in boxes with biohazard labels and "THIS WILL KILL YOUR CHILDREN" printed in three inch high neon letters across the front and no one up to and including Queen Margrethe would be too fussed about it.

Brickseek says $80.. not $79.99 or $76.89.... $80. It also says the Water Strider is $30!

I just saw that the Ultimate Temple is only $80 (with nearly 1400 pieces)

The fire mech is $70 (with nearly 1000 pieces)

The lightning jet is only $80 for almost 1000 pieces

I am loving the pricing on these! I am also glad the Bounty is only $160 which isn't too bad
Where did you see the prices? I thought the temple was going to be $100.....I like the $80 price much more :)

Okay, so what I see is an $80 price at Wal Mart......I wonder if this will be similar to the price discrepancy for the Bat Cave and other Batman sets when they first came out? I go to wally world to save 20 bucks though.

@Recce Just for out of curiosity, would it be possible to see a photo of it connected to a modular? Even though it will probably look so far out of place.
Here's a side by side with PR. My left most tower is still incomplete without the roofing which will add a height of around 6 bricks.

The sand green tower is another 15 or so bricks tall!

As I understand it, we get the same boxes as Europe/UK & our boxes don't normally have a piece count, set names are hit & miss... In saying that, all the recent Ninjago, Nexo Knights & Elves boxes seem to have set names, City & Creator sets normally don't, but as far back as I can remember the DC, Marvel & SW sets have set names.

Most places were selling the Batcave at $100 but Wal Mart was $80......eventually other places dropped the price.

Indeed not all boxes in EU have set names...

    Quick look around my desk:
    - Saturn V has the name and piece count (obviously)
    - Temple of Airjitzu has the name, no piece count
    - Haunted house has piece count, no name
    - RC Tracked racer has name, no piece count
    - Horizon express has neither
    - Friends bumper cars has neither

So it is indeed a bit hit and miss (and I do concede only 2 of them are actually recent ones...).

When I saw the pics at least I didn't consider them out of the ordinary.

All European/UK Minecraft sets omit piece counts and set names, including this year's sets. On the otherhand, the Batman Movie sets omitted piece counts but included set names. I am surprised the Ninjago Movie sets haven't followed that pattern.

I personally like to see piece counts and set names on the box although not necessarily on the front on the box.

Nice trailer, my kids would love this game!

Funny that after the video ended, there is a big Lepin thumbnail right at the center among other video thumbnails.

Here's a screenshot, in case it is region dependent.

The sets are now on S@H

Walmart still had the temple discounted at $80 but I guess they're going with $100?

I think it will be like the bat cave which was $20 cheaper at Wal mart as well. I think S@H still has the Bat Cave at $100 even though everyone else is selling for less.

The burning question is: Are you going to buy the official model, when it is released? ;-)

Fantastic recreation, by the way! :-)

    Thanks!

For me, the enjoyment is in building it, especially trying to figure out the techniques used or how to replicate the design etc. So after fixing the whole thing, it kinda dampened the excitement of wanting the official set. However, the other major attraction for the set is obviously the list of minifigures.

The same goes for the Assembly Square which I've recreated way before the product launch, till now I've yet to get the official set, and the minifigures didn't help much in convincing me either since they're all generic City minifigures. :)

I think 70607 is the set I like the most. It's small, but both the police tuk tuk and the market stand are really cool.

I have the temple, and I'm going to get the city. That was it, until @CaptainLego pointed me to #70607 so I'll be getting 2 more sets so I'll have a total of 3 Ninjago sets. And hope nobody names any more numbers starting with 706. For real.

I wonder if someone will design some 'scale' sails.  Love the set, but the sails don't look quite right.

Oh, it's big... Fire brigade isn't that big, but still. :)

Great work btw. I wonder how much you're off designwise to the original. Will you compare when it comes out?

Definitely will have many differences as I don't have the new parts/colours that were released from last year till now.

I think mine will be heavier as I use standard bricks for internal structures, maybe I will download the instructions when available to check out the sushi conveyor belt, the room where the bonsai resides (it's supposed to be under construction according to the descriptions), and internal of the level 3 room and attic. :)

Ever since the new Ninjago sets have been revealed I keep having urges to build oriental style buildings and other settings in and around my current city layout - amazing the psychological power TLG seems to have...

Indeed, the Ninjago theme setting seems to be base on an Oriental city thus all the building sets have some kind of Asian influences, in addition to the dragons of course.

Those of you interested in Oriental buildings might want to check out some of the older Ninjago sets. :)

^^The #2507 Fire Temple is one of three sets that gets put away after a while but pulled out again by one of us to build, play with, and display. That is one that adults look at with interest rather than merely confirming LEGO is for children - or confirming my geek status (the other sets that gets used constantly in my house are #6860 The Batcave and #8095 Grievous' Starfighter).
