What I don't quite understand is your IP banning from Ideas - like, what is the connection? Is it just because banning you from the Internet isn't possible?
...The reason I brought it up because the reason behind it was that they caught me sharing 'confidential information' and this happened after my fake box started spreading on Facebook

I must be the only one but I absolutely dislike the big printed pieces that have made their way into starwars sets. To print a piece for some small text in  modular is great (like the windows in detectives office) but I hate it when they use print to add structural elements to a building brick like they did with several starwars sets (some hatches have them) Then I rather have stickers as you can at least omit them. Nothing can hide the plain ugliness of big printed lego pieces:(

@pmh while many of us would like brick solutions for details, as you do, Lego often can't meet that expectation and keep the model tough enough for "play" so they print or sticker. and for the vast majority here if it has be be one of those 2, printing will be the preferred option over stickers. which is why you will often see people shouting/asking for printed parts.

If it is true, then I guess the moral of the story is to cover your tracks a little better if you are using the same accounts or IP addresses to spread rumours and / or leaks and to access their other services. Have they blocked your Lego.com account too, as presumably they will easily be able to find that too, along with you VIP details.

Lol uh not to derail the thread even more but I haven't fully figured out why or what this happened but my guess is the whole Kim falling for my fake Falcon. I didn't try to cover the fact that I made it. I told him in my email to him the whole story and I'm waiting for a response...

Next time just plaster a big 'FAKE BOX IMAGE' all over the picture to prevent confusion and 'abuse'.

Anyway, if you check 75192 on brickset it now says 'lego exclusive' and 'Ultimate Collector Series'. So a little bit more confirmation!

    Can't wait.

The thing that will swing it for me and make the new falcon a must-have purchase would be the inclusion of a large quantity of medium stone (light bluish) grey sausages!

You jest, but they could use them as part of a window port frame or something, so never say never.

Unlikely, but hopefully a return for the light bluish grey levers, one my favourite parts that are unfortunately rare.

Wow.  Posts here dropped through the floor.

What happened, not as much interest in MFs all of a sudden?  Or was it the mention of the Lego police suspending accounts that scared everyone off?

Reminds me of a group of kids up to no good laughing and joking, then 1 of their mom's comes over and smacks 1 of them in the head, and lays into him with the type of lecture that made him wish he didn't leave the house that morning.  No more talking, no more smiling, everyone slowly backing away.  Lol.

It's also nice to see that the EuroBricks thread is just as information-empty as this one.

Same lack of information, a lot more smarmy, and no fun.

I've had too much time on my hands and i've been editing the UCS MF Pic on the new Death Star Box. If You look closely the result might shock you... it's the 2007 Version...
  • bobabricksbobabricks Member Posts: 1,842
@Bartelas Or s the new version that close to the 2007 one, ha ha! No it makes sense that this is 10179, There is no way they would be finished designing the new MF when they did the box art for DS. And if it was, there is definitely no way pictures wouldn't have leaked in the last couple of years.

It is not that shocking. How many times have they revealed sets coming a year or more in the future in box art silhouettes? Easier to use existing art than future set images.

BTW the EB thread is open again. It was temporarily closed while a mod looked into a tit for tat argument about rumours / fake rumours, people doing small reveals when they claim to have more information, etc.

I don't understand some people. If you have news, share it. If you don't have any or cannot, then don't. Why do some people feel the need to slowly tease everyone?

I'm pretty sure there is some sort of profession based on this need.  And I'll reveal what that profession is at some future juncture.

One of the reasons I joined here was the freedom to speculate. Part of the excitement and anticipation for me is talking about what the new Falcon will be like, what new parts would be nice to see.
I'd love to see macaroni slopes of various sizes from macaroni cheese :) through the various inclines up to ones that would fit with the 3684 3 tall slopes, all for the purposes of improving how well parts of the Falcon could be realized. They'd be nice to have for space builds in general, and whilst I doubt we'll get them with the next release, I want to be able to discuss the potential for these and any new parts (in use or otherwise) in relation to this and any other unconfirmed set release.

One of the aspects of the MF that really appeals to me in LEGO is that the greebling enhances the feel of accuracy to the movie model. It makes it feel like it is 'slapped' together, just like in the movies. I like most ships to be smoothed out with SNOT techniques, but the MF would feel too refined without studs on top. It is a very LEGO welcoming construction.

I do have one more question for you guys: I know it's an old "rumor" by now, but I've been editing this pic of the MF from the "Rathtar Escape" box. I've been comparing it to the movies and I'm not quite sure whether or not this one is supposed to resemble the MF from the new movie or the set we are waiting for. This one looks studless and all but there is a chance tho.

I imagine it is meant to represent the one from The Force Awakens, as it is on a TFA set. I also wouldn't read too much into background images in box art.

Yeah well you never know xD
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
You have to be careful not to read too much into what is in the background or box art. They'll use whatever art they are using at the time.

For example, this TIE fighter is clearly OT, as we have Vader on the packet:

So this one must be EP I:

But this one is Ep II / clone wars

And these are all the same set!

Eurobricks Moderators are back at it again after Sir von Lego posted some info on the 2018 sets. This is getting more ridiculous every time haha.

'Everything will change once the 2018 SW thread will come out'.

How come that Eurobricks is more popular than let's say this forum? Serious question. From my understanding Brickset is the most used site when it comes to information, but EB is always mentioned when people talk about a forum. Is it because this part of the site looks like it's stuck in 2010 (personal opinion, don't mind it that much)? If Brickset can make some sort of overlap with the news/collection part of the site than you can have the most complete Lego fansite anyone can wish for.
