Picked up a Lego Batman Movie Halloween costume for $15 at Walmart yesterday. Very nice costume, much better than the wear-it-once junk that I typically see for sale around Halloween.

Caved and bought the Lego Batman bluray with the free polybag from Target. Got the Riddler Car set with the extra 15% off of the existing $24 sale price as well. Seemed a good a time as any to get more Arkham residents.

After a failed attempt on Amazon to buy the Technic BMW #42063 (Long story short, the marketplace seller turned out to be fake) Bought it again using the £10 sorry voucher they sent me, so down to £34. The 40th anniversary chassis build will get done this year!

After a ridiculous failed attempt to find Toys R Us in Castle Court (they keep moving it!!), I popped into The Entertainer and finally got my hands on Skulzy, the pirate Mixel.

I nobly restrained myself from buying a couple of the medical-themed ones, because I'd already grabbed a couple of polybags that were in the BOGOF deal... in my defence, one's for my partner's Christmas stocking, and the other will go in the stockpile I've learned to keep for Brickset contest/fundraiser prizes.

But that's it for buying Lego... until I can find that branch of TRU and take advantage of the offer on TLBM stuff.

    Hi, how's everybody been?

I have bought one or two items in the past couple of months during my exile from this board, the web, life mostly. Long story. I'll update later. Right now I feel like driving to the store and spending a shitload of money on LEGO. SO I'm going to. Off to the car...have no idea where I'm going, what I'm getting or what I even want.

I only hope I don't blow 2 grand. I've done stupid shit like that before. YIKES

I'm filling out my collection of S17 figs. You know, I only really wanted the Rocket Boy, but here I am with 17 of them now, only needing three to complete the set. I justify it by saying I'm honing my feel-fu.

You're driving back home with another 300 Km to go but there's a long queue waiting for you at the Luxemburg/Belgium border. It's hot and humid. There is absolutely no alternative for the motorway you are following and you need a break as you've been driving for hours. You happen to be very close to the Auchan store @stlux told about that has Dimension fun packs on offer for 5 €, Level packs for 10 € and story packs for 20 €...

    Do you:

    a) Carry on.  You're from a country of superior queuers and besides, you've got air conditioning in the car. What on earth are you complaining about?

    b) Stop&shop time!

(there were no Ninjago packs available that I was looking for so I had to compensate with #70605 for about 57 €)

    Nice to see you back.
Not that I am an active member here (well, I'm a passive active member if you know what I mean), but always appreciated reading your input), so all I'll say is freak out and have fun, but take care while doing so!

One of my mom's wise sayings: 'Every cow paddy has the potential to grow beautiful flowers'.

So shit is not always only just shit, but it does always stink.
Very true. And thanks, appreciate the sentiment about input. I miss giving it (and building) but the circumstances with my autistic son are too elevated for the time being, I've needed to focus on that much more, and I don't dare lay out bricks to build anything. He is too unpredictable of late with his explosive episodes. Trying to get him more help...but it's very difficult.

I only spent 325 or so. I price matched for the first time at TRU. The clerks treat you as if you have a communicable disease when you do that on a stack of purchases...but hey, if you are gonna jack your priced up to well above RRP, then I care not for any cloggage of the line to get a better price.

Did not see some of what I was after, and after looking at the BS database some say Retail - Limited. How does one ascertain retail exclusivity of an item? I need to know who is carrying a couple of pieces.
  • blogzillyblogzilly Member Posts: 598
    @gratefulnat
That delivery is SWEET. Couple of those pieces I was looking for but couldn't find, like the Jedi Starfighter. I did snag a Quadjumper though. I'll try and get some pics up this weekend of what I've added to my stash lately.

Nice to see you around here again, @blogzilly! I hope things settle down a bit for your son and the rest of the family.

Have had a rather lovely couple of Lego says thanks to the generosity of @SirBen, whose Bonus Ball prize of a Mini Fortrex and an elf archer minfiig arrived yesterday, and then my finally tracking down Toys 'R Us and obtaining the Penguin's Arctic Roller, with a Battle Pod. And then they gave me a "£5 off when you spend £5" voucher for next weekend!

Which sets are you looking for? I believe all sets are available from s@h even if they are retail exclusives. In the US the exclusives tend to be at Target, Wal-Mart or TRU.

Glad to have you back & hope things get better soon!

    #60142 Money Transporter - Walmart
#76075 Wonder Woman Warrior Battle - TRU
#75191 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive - TRU

Bought TLBM last week at Target with the Blu Ray, Digital and DVD to get the exclusive Batgirl and bought #76054 for the 15% off; not a bad deal.  Other than that its been lukewarm at best lately, just nothing of interest!

    Last week:

I bought the 4 bigger sets from the new TLBM wave at TRU 20% off (plus free battle pods)... not sure why I did not buy #70913 since I will eventually :-S

Most of the Juniors Cars 3 sets, also 20% off at TRU (this sale is still going on this week).

Both Spider-Man: Homecoming sets and #41235 Wonder Woman Dorm Room at Target 20% off.

And #41101 Heartlake Grand Hotel at Amazon 24% off.

Holding up on TLBM movie as I want the 3D version and will wait for a possible discount in the future.

so had a good day today.
last week we got a letter from Sainsburys with 2 coupons in it.
the 2 coupons was for £15 off a £100 spend. 1 for this week 1 for next week.
well our normal food shop is about £75. or there about. so it would not get used if i did not buy a lego set. there for the £15 off. could all go to the lego set.
so i planned to buy the #60154 Bus Station Priced at £40. would have made it £25.
however i go in to the store today and there it is, price down to £32.
    that right you lot.
i just picked up #60154 Bus Station for £17. you can Hate me now.
    Mahahahahahah

no idea what i may get next week but i am looking forward to it.

    from Amazon Prime Now App.
#21029 Buckingham Palace for £29.58 normal price £44.99
not the best deal in the world. but it is over 33% off. and it will be with me in hours not days. my time slot is 2pm to 4pm today.
    so free shipping same day.
i wish my amazon prime now local warehouse had a better choice of lego set's.  i would use it more if it did.

i need to buy more train set's but it has to be a good price 1st. i am not paying full dam price for the big set! £150 no way!. still no point in buying more track till i got more set's. still that flx track set at under £10 is tempting me. No. i need one of the hevey good's trains set's 1st!.....

Placed a ton of Bricklink orders for several MOCs I plan to display at BrickLive, London. So far only a few new smaller creations, I may need to get a few more new ones done before the show.

Went and got #10257 Carousel today. I was going to get it eventually, and there is not lack of big sets coming up (London Bus, Ninjago City, Old Fishing Store... UCS MF?), so might as well take advantage of 2X VIP points and tote bag.

Also got #31066 Space Shuttle Explorer to build today/tomorrow as on Wednesday I am going to Albuquerque for a week to serve as chauffer to my parents, who want to visit their old college grounds and friends. (yes, 'chauffer', as they do not like/want to drive in the city and asked me to meet them there).
