If the new curved piece is intended to be the cockpit then I suppose there could always be a print on it which would look tidier than the brick built version...or heaven forbid, a sticker :-/
^Could they possibly use the curved piece with minimal printing, and add some delicate greebling parts on top of it, to create an outer frame?
That might work quite well, and it's likely to create a better end result compared to just a printed part (e.g. a scaled-up 75105).
I only keep my favorite sets on display to make sure it never gets too crowded.
(I still trust it will! :D)
Now that's some impressive camouflage! Excellent building techniques right there.
In other news, Tragic Banjo says the box is different from all other UCS boxes, so he's seen it supposedly.

It's also nice to see that the EuroBricks thread is just as information-empty as this one.

I tip my hat @CM4S. Very well done. Love seeing these pop up in my explore tab on Instagram with people thinking it's real.
Last night, over dinner, I was discussing the UCS MF with my wife and daughter. I brought up the history a bit, and ongoing rumors of the future set, and even discussin the LEPIN / other knock-off sets that people build for the 'build experience' when they can't get the actual UCS MF. I mentioned that some of those knock-off sets were appealing as I wanted to build the UCS MF but would not consider dropping $3,000+ on a set. She said "If they announce a new UCS MF, you should buy two, build one and then sell it as an opened set, and hold the other one sealed."
THIS IS A TRAP, RIGHT?!
The new Falcon is NOT a set to be speculatively investing in. It will be snapped up by so many other people with expectations of its future value that it may end up being the next Death Star.
EDIT: welcome aboard, or at least welcome out here where you're no longer lurking in those shadows :)
@stlux - Curses, I should have!!!
So that image that I made made its way to Kim Thomsen who immediately classified it as a leak and told people not to share it, and then I'm assuming he had my Ideas account banned, right?
Is it just me or did he involuntarily confirm that a new Falcon is coming and that it looks similar to mine which is basically 10179 with some random pieces added onto it?
Hmmm...
I hope they take some inspiration from your box design; the mix of deep blues in the background are really top-class! Is that Hoth behind the Star Destroyer?
I'd be quite happy with an updated 10179 to be honest, even after 9 years it's still amongst the very best Star Wars sets, and a few tweaks would bring it bring it up to date - another 500 greebling parts, illuminated engines and a new cockpit would be more than enough for me :-)
I suspect that someone else told Kim that there was a picture out there, and he then told people that it was a leak and not to share it.
This is also a good point. Which makes my ban even more extremely ridiculous if he hasn't even seen the dang thing...
